Vladimir Putin Defends Donald Trump After House Passes Articles of Impeachment

Putin is practically gloating at this point.

Beginning during the home stretch of the 2016 election, rumors began to swirl that then-candidate Donald Trump may have had some untoward relationship with the Russian government, and that this camaraderie could somehow factor in to his electoral success.

This concept was the subject of a massive, 22 month-long, $25 million-plus investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller who, at the conclusion of his probe, did not recommend any further charges for anyone – including now-President Donald Trump.

Still, among some circles, the notion of an inappropriate relationship between Donald Trump and Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin remained.  During the latest UkraineGate scandal, which has brought us the articles of impeachment that are the focus of the US political world right now, there were even suggestions that Trump’s distrust of Ukraine could have been manufactured to benefit Russia.

Today, Vladimir Putin’s comments on the American political process are again stoking these conspiratorial fires.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump was impeached for “far-fetched” reasons, calling the move by Democrats a continuation of their fight against the Republican leader.

“The party that lost the (2016) election, the Democratic Party, is trying to achieve results by other means,” Putin said at his annual news conference in Moscow.

He likened Trump’s impeachment to the earlier U.S. probe into collusion with Russia, which Putin played down as groundless. Former special counsel Robert Mueller concluded earlier this year that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election in a “sweeping and systematic fashion.”

He went on…

Noting the Republicans have a majority in the Senate, where a trial of Trump will be conducted, Putin said “they will be unlikely to remove a representative of their own party from office on what seems to me an absolutely far-fetched reason.”

Putin has made no attempt to hide his hopes for a chaotic American political climate, as it would greatly benefit Russia’s standing in the world to weaken the United States.

House Opens Yet Another Investigation into Trump Administration Conduct

Will it ever end?

Given just how unhappy the liberal left has been about the election of Donald Trump to the presidency, perhaps it was only a matter of time before we entered a realm of perpetual investigations against he and his administration.

It all began with RussiaGate:  A scandal that centered around the conspiracy theory that then-candidate Trump was in cahoots with The Kremlin during the 2016 election.  When Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded his 22 month, $25 million probe, there were no charges leveled against Donald Trump, and those who did fall under the axe did so by lying to Congress, lying to investigators, or failing to fill out the correct paperwork in order to serve in the Trump administration.  No one went to jail because of their “collusion” with Russia.

Then, hot on the heels of RussiaGate came UkraineGate:  The investigation that eventually led to two articles of impeachment against Trump.  The Commander in Chief would be acquitted on both charges swiftly by the Senate.

Now we appear headed for BarrGate, or DOJ-Gate, or whatever the mass media is going to dub it.

The House judiciary committee is launching a wide-ranging inquiry into the attorney general, William Barr, and the justice department, demanding briefings, documents and interviews with 15 officials as it tries to determine whether there has been improper political interference in federal law enforcement.

The committee chairman, Jerry Nadler, on Friday sent Barr a letter listing a series of matters that the committee finds “deeply troubling”, including Barr’s involvement in the case of Donald Trump’s longtime confidant Roger Stone.

Stone was convicted in November of lying to Congress and other charges. Barr overruled prosecutors who had recommended that Stone be sentenced to seven to nine years in prison, leading the four top prosecutors on the case to step down from it.

Nadler is also questioning Barr about his involvement in other cases related to friends and associates of Trump and about internal investigations into department employees who investigated Trump after the 2016 election.

Politically, the timing of this latest investigation seems destined to cast more doubt on the Trump administration heading into the 2020 election, which is undoubtedly a pleasant side effect for the struggling Democrats.

Mick Mulvaney Says Media is Hyping Coronavirus Fears to Denigrate Donald Trump

The Chief of Staff isn’t going to let anything slide here.

When it comes to the spread of the deadly and novel strain of coronavirus known as COVID-19, there is plenty of fear to go around.

The virus has absolutely ravaged parts of the Far East, with well over 2,800 dead and possibly hundreds of thousands of potential exposures – and these numbers are to be taken with a grain of salt thanks to the shoddy reporting of the Chinese government.

In the US, the virus has been extremely limited thanks to the advanced medical technology that our nation possesses.  Furthermore, President Trump has appointed Vice President Mike Pence to oversee the national effort to prevent its spread.

The left is using this potential pandemic to attack the White House…but the White House is fighting back.

The acting White House chief of staff says US media is stoking a coronavirus panic because they hope it will take down President Donald Trump.

“The reason they are paying so much attention to it today is that they think this is going to bring down the president,” Mick Mulvaney said.

Speaking to a group of conservatives on Friday, he added people should ignore the media in order to calm the markets.

Global markets have continued to fall as the virus infects over 50 countries.

There have been 82,000 reported cases of Covid-19 worldwide and 2,800 deaths since the disease emerged late last year. All but 3,664 cases and 57 of the deaths have been reported in China.

Mulvaney continued:

“We took extraordinary steps four or five weeks ago,” Mr Mulvaney said, referring to the Trump administration order to close the border to foreign travelers coming from China, where the virus originated. The move was widely covered in the media at the time.

“Why didn’t we hear about it? What was going on four or five weeks ago? Impeachment. And that’s all the press wanted to talk about,” he told a gathering of conservatives outside Washington on Friday.

The President has repeatedly stated that COVID-19 is “under control” here in the US, and there has been no evidence to suggest otherwise thus far.

Don Jr. Physically Threatened by Congressman Over Coronavirus Claims

This is simply outrageous.

While coronavirus is very, very real, the jury is still out on the barely-fictional affliction known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“TDS”, as it is affectionately referred to by the President’s supporters, is often characterized by an irrational disdain for any-and-all-things related to Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of these United States.  This is the carte blanche “resistance” in physical form where, no matter what the circumstances are, the left will oppose the Commander in Chief, his administration, and even his family.

President Trump could adopt a dog and the left would complain that it wasn’t a cat.  Heck, Trump could bring home a dog and a cat and the left would be annoyed at the breeds chosen.

This week, the metaphorical TDS struck again, prompting a Congressman to insinuate that he’d like to physically harm the President’s son.

Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) threatened Donald Trump Jr. on MSNBC, Friday, after Trump Jr. insinuated Democrats want people to get sick from the coronavirus.

As Garamendi spoke about the latest Californian to test positive for the coronavirus, MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson said, “I think it’s coming through the screen you’re angry, you’re obviously visibly emotional about this,” before asking the congressman about Trump Jr. saying Democrats are seemingly hoping the coronavirus, “comes here to kill millions of people so it can end the president’s streak of winning.”

This is where things went off the rails.

“He shouldn’t be near me when he says that,” Garamendi replied. “There would be a serious altercation.”

“That’s just totally outrageous. I can assure you there’s not a Democrat or Republican in Congress that wants anybody to be sick,” he continued, concluding, “Don Jr. better not get any place close to me. It would not be a healthy situation.”

President Trump has repeatedly insisted that the United States has the deadly virus “under control”, and he has appointed Vice President Pence to oversee the national response to COVID-19.

Democrats Warned They Could Face ‘Civil War’ If Sanders Gets Sabotaged

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel warns that Democrats could face ‘civil war’ if Bernie Sanders gets sabotaged again.

I just love seeing these Democrats come unglued every day! The DNC created this monster when they set up Bernie Sanders to lose against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primary. What a pathetic bunch of people who call themselves leaders.

Fox News:

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel warned at the Conservative Political Action conference Thursday that Democrats will face a “civil war” should the party try to sabotage front-runner Bernie Sanders for the nomination.

McDaniel was asked during a CPAC panel Thursday what would happen if the Democratic Party attempted to take the Democratic nomination away from Sanders, I-Vt.

“I don’t know how they can do it without creating a civil war in their party,” she said, adding, “But boy, isn’t it fun to watch?”

McDaniel’s comments come as Sanders, a self-described Democratic socialist, is leading the Democratic presidential primary field, sounding alarms inside the party with rival candidates and party elders.

Critics have claimed that a Sanders nomination would pave the way for President Trump’s reelection and potentially hurt Democrats’ chances of maintaining the majority in the House or taking the majority in the Senate.

Thus far, Sanders essentially tied for the win in the Iowa caucuses, claimed victory in New Hampshire and notched a massive win in the Nevada caucuses last weekend, driving home the reality that his rivals will have diminishing chances to halt that momentum. More

Democrats made a huge mistake. Instead of partnering on issues and initiatives where they could solve problems for the country and passing laws that get things done, they have been focused on hating a duly-elected President and trying everything they can to get rid of him.

That is not lost on voters. So now they have nothing to run on, no accomplishments to claim and certainly no candidates that are electable just left trying to out-socialist all the other candidates.

Eight Mississippi Democrats Switch to Republican in One Big Event

The Mississippi Republican Party welcomed a group of new members Wednesday when eight Democrats decided to switch parties.

The Mississippi Republican Party welcomed a group of new members Wednesday when eight Democrats decided to switch parties and joining the winning team.

The Mississippi GOP announced that the eight newly minted Republicans were elected just last cycle as either Democrats or independents, according to WLBT.

“We have had a relentless focus on switching conservative Democrats over to the Republican party,” said MSGOP Chairman Lucien Smith. “They recognize increasingly that there is only one party that represents the conservative values of our state and that is the Republican party.”

The party jumpers were from Smith and Covington counties. One of the jumpers was a District Attorney from the area.

“We are in a scenario in this country where you can choose to be a member of the party led by Donald J. Trump or you can choose to be a member of the socialist Democratic party led by Bernie Sanders,” Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said.

Millsaps Department of Government and Politics chair Dr. Nathan Shrader noted that the GOP has been growing by leaps and bounds in the state.

“They have a plausible argument to make with these elected officials that your constituent are already aligning with us, the voting patterns in your district are moving in our direction, you should join the team too,” Shrader added.

“There are conservatives Democrats all across the state of Mississippi and there was once upon a time when the conservative Democrats controlled this state,” said 13th Circuit Court District Attorney Matt Sullivan, one of those jumping into the GOP. “It’s a new day in Mississippi and I believe the Republican party is growing and there’s a place in the Republican party for people like me.”

The Mississippi GOP announced the following new members:

Matt Sullivan, District Attorney for the Thirteenth Circuit Court District (Covington, Jasper, Simpson and Smith Counties), (Former Democrat)

Covington County
Guy Easterling, Chancery Clerk (Former Independent)
Bobby Wayne Mooney, Justice Court Judge for the Northern District of Covington County (Former Independent)

Smith County
Cindy Austin, Chancery Clerk (Former Democrat)
Anthony Grayson, Circuit Clerk (Former Democrat)
Mary Lou Powell, Tax Assessor-Collector (Former Democrat)
Danny Arender, Beat 4 Supervisor (Former Democrat)
Hulon West, Justice Court Judge for the Southern District of Smith County (Former Democrat)

Roger Stone’s Request for a New Trial Will Indeed Be Heard by a Judge

Maybe that Presidential pardon won’t be necessary after all.

While we may be several months removed from the apparent end of the RussiaGate investigation, we are far from providing closure for everyone involved.

Roger Stone, who was convicted of lying to Congress during the Robert Mueller-led probe into a conspiracy theory involving the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, is currently set to serve 40-some months in jail for his crime.  This sentence was announced just days after President Trump publicly dissed the original sentencing structure that would have allowed for the judge in the case to sentence Stone to up to nine years in prison.

But Stone will not be going quietly into the night, which isn’t all that surprising if you know anything about Roger Stone.

A judge has scheduled a pair of hearings for Tuesday in longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone’s criminal case, as she considers how to resolve a motion Stone’s defense filed seeking a new trial based on alleged misconduct by one of the jurors in his case.

U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who sentenced Stone last week to more than three years in prison for impeding official investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential race, said in a brief order Monday that she plans to take up the juror-focused motion behind closed doors in her Washington courtroom at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The court has kept the details of Stone’s motion under wraps since it was filed more than a week ago, but Jackson’s order Monday revealed that Stone’s defense recently moved to open the related court filings and any planned hearing to the public.

The issue revolves around a jury foreperson who posted her beliefs on the case to Facebook in the midst of the trial, demonstrating certain biases in doing so.

Hillary Clinton Has Startling New Warning About Donald Trump

The assertion is simply laughable.

Of all of the Democratic deities that the liberal left has burned through as of late, none has left as sour a taste in the mouth of the progressive masses as Hillary Clinton.

The former First Lady’s uncouth collusion with the DNC during the 2016 primary ultimately cost the Democrats the election, as Bernie Sanders’ supporter abandoned the party en masse after the corruption was revealed.

Clinton was oblivious to this, of course, and was still certain that she’d be waltzing into the White House come January of 2017.  The former Secretary of State hadn’t even written a concession speech…that’s how sure she was.

Now, three years into the Trump administration’s first term, Clinton has consistently refused to recognize that she’s overstayed her welcome, and has constantly interjected herself into the 2020 election.

Her latest appearance comes complete with a stark warning about President Donald Trump.

She made those remarks when being questioned by journalists on the red carpet for the Berlin film festival.

Clinton said, “I will support the nominee of our party because I think that our current president is a clear and present danger to democracy and to our future.”

The “clear and present danger” line is a popularized piece of pop culture that has often signified the ultimate in geopolitical trouble, and Clinton’s peddling of the phrase is an indication of her desperation.
