Virginia Govt. Officials Demand Construction Co. Remove Flag from Building Project

Virginia state officials demanded a U.S. flag that was flying from a construction project in downtown Richmond.

Virginia state officials demanded that a construction company remove a U.S. flag that was flying from a construction project in downtown Richmond on Friday.

The officials insisted that the large U.S. flag that was flying high above the street on the unfinished building was a “hazard” and a target for Black Lives Matter rioters that were expected to flood the city during the Fourth of July holiday.

Per the Associated Press:

Dena Potter, spokeswoman for the state Department of General Services, said officials asked a contractor to take down the flag from a new office building for state lawmakers under construction in Richmond.

“Over the past month we’ve seen buildings and structures around Capitol Square vandalized and flags, dumpsters, a bus and other items set ablaze during demonstrations around the city,” Potter said in an email.

The flag removal order ended up in the hands of the fireproofing company that had erected the flag, and they were furious over the order.

“Since when is this flag, on this weekend, IN THIS COUNTRY, a Target!!” Eric Winston of American Coatings Corp. said. “Let me guess, if I had a black lives matter flag it would be ‘ok’!?”

Winston also noted that he had made sure the general contractor, Gilbane Building Company, had signed off on the flag ahead of time, too.

“They were very responsive when we asked them to remove it,” Potter said of the Gilbane company. “Of course, the safety of the workers on the job and the public is our No. 1 concern, but we also did not want to see the flag damaged in any way.”

New York City Employees Caught Using U.S. Flag to Clean Toilets

Only a day before Flag Day, two New York City employees were seen using the American flag to clean toilets in a Coney Island restroom.

Only a day before Flag Day, two New York City employees were seen using the American flag to clean toilets in a Coney Island restroom.

This anti-American display of contempt was discovered and photographed by Guardian Angel activist Jose Gonzalez, who was on patrol on the Boardwalk when he saw the employees of the city’s Parks Department using the flag as a rag and mop, the New York Post reported.

Gonzalez said that a U.S. veteran confronted the employees and said they “can’t use the flag to wipe up urine and shit from the floor.”

The Guardian Angel added that the veteran was furious.

Gonzalez said that the Parks Dept. employees just didn’t care.

“The Parks guy didn’t see what the big deal was and told him, ‘It’s just a symbol,'” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez said he took some photos of the outrageous conduct.

“This is an absolute disgrace especially one day before Flag Day, an honored day that no one is discussing in New York City,” said Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa. “Clearly, we are not educating our citizens. At a time when we are all divided, it’s the flag that brings us together.”

This truly is an outrage. Someone needs to be fired over this.

Granted, it is not illegal to use an American flag is such a disrespectful manner

The End of America: NFL Player Drew Brees Forced to Apologize for Being Patriotic

This is the end of the United States. NFL player Drew Brees found that liberals seem to have succeeded in making patriotism illegal.

This is the end of the United States. NFL player Drew Brees found that liberals seem to have succeeded in making patriotism illegal.

On Wednesday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said he still disagrees with Colin Kaepernick’s protests during the national anthem.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Brees reiterated his position that Kaepernick had every right to his opinion and even his activism, but that taking a knee during the anthem was the wrong time and place to protest.

“I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country,” Brees told Yahoo. “Let me just tell what I see or what I feel when the national anthem is played and when I look at the flag of the United States. I envision my two grandfathers, who fought for this country during World War II, one in the Army and one in the Marine Corp. Both risking their lives to protect our country and to try to make our country and this world a better place.”

“So every time I stand with my hand over my heart looking at that flag and singing the national anthem, that’s what I think about,” Brees continued. “And in many cases, that brings me to tears, thinking about all that has been sacrificed.”

Brees added that the anthem isn’t just about the military, either.

“Not just those in the military, but for that matter, those throughout the civil rights movements of the ‘60s, and all that has been endured by so many people up until this point,” he said. “And is everything right with our country right now? No, it is not. We still have a long way to go. But I think what you do by standing there and showing respect to the flag with your hand over your heart, is it shows unity.”

Brees concluded, saying, “It shows that we are all in this together, we can all do better and that we are all part of the solution.”

But within minutes, Brees was excoriated for daring to be patriotic. The hate for him and the United States by the left-wing sports community became so loud that he quickly “apologized” for daring to be patriotic.

Here is his full apology:

“I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday. In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused.

“In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country. They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy. Instead, those words have become divisive and hurtful and have misled people into believing that somehow I am an enemy. This could not be further from the truth, and is not an accurate reflection of my heart or my character.

“This is where I stand:

“I stand with the black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice and police brutality and support the creation of real policy change that will make a difference.

“I condemn the years of oppression that have taken place throughout our black communities and still exists today.

“I acknowledge that we as Americans, including myself, have not done enough to fight for that equality or to truly understand the struggles and plight of the black community.

“I recognize that I am part of the solution and can be a leader for the black community in this movement.

“I will never know what it’s like to be a black man or raise black children in America but I will work every day to put myself in those shoes and fight for what is right.

“I have ALWAYS been an ally, never an enemy.

“I am sick about the way my comments were perceived yesterday, but I take full responsibility and accountability. I recognize that I should do less talking and more listening…and when the black community is talking about their pain, we all need to listen.

“For that, I am very sorry and I ask your forgiveness.”

This is the end of the United States of America, folks.

If it isn’t even acceptable to be patriotic, then this country is over.

North Carolina Democrats Revolt Against Saying Pledge, Refuse to Stand for U.S. Flag

Democrats on the county board of elections for North Carolina’s Bladen Country have voted out the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Democrats on the county board of elections for North Carolina’s Bladen Country have voted out the Pledge of Allegiance and said they will REFUSE to stand for the U.S. flag.

Once again showing how un-American Democrats really are, the majority Democrats on the board have decided to dump the pledge as they loudly denounced the American flag.

The revolt against patriotism came at this week’s meeting when Election Board member Emory White asked for the Pledge of Allegiance to be added to the agenda, according to Bladen Online.

The county news site added:

Chairperson Louella P. Thompson, Patsy Sheppard, and Deborah Belle voted against the Pledge of Allegiance being added to the agenda. Board members Michael Aycock and Emory White, both Veterans of the United States military voted for the pledge to be added to the agenda.

Soon enough, people in the audience began asking whey the Democrat officials on the board did not want to recite the Pledge. They refused to say why. Then one person in the audience stood and began reciting the Pledge, anyway, and everyone in the room stood and also recited it… except for the three Democrats on the board who remained silent and seated.

Video of the outrageous behavior of the Democrats on the board was posted to Youtube.

This is not the first time that the Democrats infesting a local town or county body have refused to cite the Pledge or stand for Old Glory.

Just last year the Santa Barbara City College Board of Trustees put an end to reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at meetings because it is a “white nationalist” pledge. They also said they oppose the American flag.

Last July, the St. Louis Park, Minnesota City Council voted unanimously on June 17 to amend their procedure rules to eliminate the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance before the start each of their meetings to enable the council to serve a more “diverse community.” But when the public found out, there was a tidal wave of opposition, and the council was forced to reconsider.

Purported “teachers” have also been caught up in the controversy. In one case, parents of a group of middle school-aged kids in a New Jersey town are furious that a teacher “habitually” took a knee in front of the kids during the morning recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
