Given just how tumultuous Washington DC has been of late, it comes as no surprise that there would be rumors of tension between President Donald Trump and his personal lawyer, former Mayor of NYC Rudy Giuliani.
The mainstream media has been incessant in their attempts to sabotage their relationship in recent weeks, spinning much of the public impeachment testimony entertained by the House Intelligence Committee as some sort of unofficial indictment of Giuliani and his alleged shakedown of Ukraine on behalf of the White House. Then, when President Trump continues to deny any knowledge of the wrongdoing, these infotainment agencies claim that this is the equivalent of Rudy being thrown under the bus by the Commander in Chief.
Giuliani, in his brash New York-ian way, has responded to these allegations by insinuating that the has some “good insurance”…a comment that has also raised eyebrows.
In order to clear the air, the close political pals got on the horn with one another this week.
President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, called the president this week to reassure him that he had been joking when he told media outlets he had “insurance” if Trump turned on him in the Ukraine scandal, Giuliani’s lawyer said on Wednesday.
The attorney, Robert Costello, said Giuliani “at my insistence” had called Trump “within the last day” to emphasize that he had not been serious when he said he had an “insurance policy, if thrown under the bus.”
“He shouldn’t joke, he is not a funny guy. I told him, ‘Ten thousand comedians are out of work, and you make a joke. It doesn’t work that way,’” Costello told Reuters.Giuliani has already said that he was being sarcastic when he made the comments. Trump, too, has brushed them off, telling reporters in the Oval Office this week that “Rudy is a great guy.” The White House declined to comment on Costello’s remarks.
Rudy Giuliani stands accused of being some sort of “point man” in the Democrats’ UkraineGate narrative, despite conflicting evidence have been exposed during recent impeachment hearings.

Roger Stone Still Set for Thursday Sentencing Despite Trump’s Remarks
There could be fireworks come the end of the week.
President Trump was in rare form on Tuesday, lashing out at prosecutors and conspiracy theorists involved in the RussiaGate scandal and the ensuing Robert Mueller investigation.
The timing was shrewd, as well. With Trump’s impeachment acquittal still fresh on the minds of the American public, his blasting of those involved in both the UkraineGate scandal, (for which he was acquitted), and the previous Kremlin-connected fiasco, the national narrative is now more about Trump getting his revenge than about the accusations that were leveled against him. In many ways, this concerted effort by Trump will consolidate the two conspiracies into one, further galvanizing his vindication.
One of the man caught up in the RussiaGate scandal, longtime Trump pal and political provocateur Roger Stone, was even defended by the President on Twitter days ago, with the Commander in Chief expressing his displeasure at the sentencing suggestions being floated for Stone.
Despite that plea, however, Stone will still be sentenced in a matter of days.
Roger Stone’s sentencing will go forward as planned on Thursday, despite the longtime Donald Trump associate’s Hail Mary attempt to get a new trial and ongoing presidential haranguing about a miscarriage of justice.
U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson decided during a brief teleconference Tuesday that there was no reason to continue delaying sentencing for the convicted GOP operative while she considers holding a hearing on a new-trial motion. Stone faces up to 50 years in prison after being convicted last November on seven felony charges, including lying to Congress and obstructing House and FBI investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
“I think that delaying the sentencing would not be a prudent thing to do under all the circumstances, unless I’m required to do so,” Jackson said.
Stone won’t immediately be carried off to the clink, however, as Judge Jackson recognized that his pending legal maneuvering should allow for him to remain free for the time being.
Liberal Media Blasts Trump Trip to Daytona 500 Over ‘Taxpayer’ Expense
The criticisms were predictably partisan, rendering them almost entirely moot.
Here’s a tough pill to swallow for Americans of all political stripes: It costs us a whole lot of money to have the President do anything.
This is, after all, the leader of the free world. Possibly one of the most influential and powerful people on the entire planet. To move POTUS from Point A to Point B requires an enormous team of players, from logistics managers to airline mechanics, scheduling secretaries to the Secret Service itself.
When the President moves, we all move.
This means that there will always be some low-hanging fruit for the liberal media to harp on when it comes to the cost of something that the President does. That includes, of course, Donald Trump’s latest public appearance at the Daytona 500.
The presidential limousine, known to many as “The Beast,” led the field of drivers on a pace lap at the Daytona 500. The scene was unlike any other we’ve scene in previous Daytona races, as the president rode in his official vehicle and led the more than 40 drivers around the track.
However, several members of the mainstream media were less than enthralled with the intermingling of presidential power with the Great American Race.
NBC White House Correspondent Kelly O’Donnell noted that the trip to Daytona was an “official White House event.” Meaning, that the president’s appearance and trip around the track in “The Beast,” was paid for by the “taxpayers.”
Some social media users were quick to point out that the cost of Barack Obama’s frequent flights to Hawaii didn’t receive the same scrutiny from the same cast of anti-conservative characters.
Giants Will Not Include Aubrey Huff In Their World Series Reunion Celebration Because Of His “Political Support Of Donald Trump”
The Giants are going to exclude Aubrey Huff from their 2010 World Series reunion, citing ‘unacceptable’ tweets as the reason.
The Giants will hold a 10-year reunion celebrating their 2010 World Series championship team. The starting first baseman for that team, who led the Giants in home runs and finished seventh in the National League MVP voting that season, will not be welcome.
My response to @SFGiants
— Aubrey Huff (@aubrey_huff) February 18, 2020
Aubrey Huff isn’t welcome at a reunion celebrating the 2010 World Series championship for the San Francisco Giants.
Huff tweeted out a lengthy statement early Tuesday morning that he wasn’t invited to the reunion because of his “political support of Donald Trump” and that Giants CEO Larry Baer personally told him he couldn’t come.
Huff added that his tweets are meant to be “sarcastic” and “satirical.” You can read his full statement below. The Giants released a statement also saying Huff wasn’t invited because of “multiple comments on social media that are unacceptable and run counter to the values of our organization.”
They didn’t specify which tweets were the problem.
If Huff’s version of events are true, then this is insanely embarrassing for the Giants. Huff played for the team when they won the World Series, and he should be 100% invited. More

Appreciate you standing strong and not backing down to the lib mob! The easy path would be to denounce POTUS and beg forgiveness. You’re a real man standing on his own principles. Much love! ♥️🇺🇸⚾️ pic.twitter.com/0AmnhRKeWi

As a life long Giants fan and somebody who takes his family of 4 to about 6 games a year. I will no longer be attending SF Giants games. My $1000+ dollars will be better spent elsewhere.
— ASheepNoMore (@ASheepNoLonger) February 18, 2020
Wow, that is just pathetic on the part of the Giants.
No wonder MAGA keeps winning, no one normal wants these hateful leftist lunatics to hold any more power than they already have….
— 𝓛𝓲𝓼𝓪 (@Rockprincess818) February 18, 2020
Well to be honest, this is not surprising.
You would think that they wouldn’t be so incredibly petty but the left are running down a very steep hill further away from reason and reality.
— Jon Habart (@jonhabart) February 18, 2020
Are you kidding @SFGiants Aubrey deserves to be there. So you bring TDS into Baseball? What a joke.

I don’t like trump one bit!!!!!!!! BUT!!!!!! You have every right to be at that reunion celebration!!!!!!!!! Put politics aside for just a while!!!!!!!

This is straight up, anti-American BS.
Supporting our country’s president should never be frowned upon.
I’m definitely boycotting @SFGiants after this.

Presidential Warpath: Trump Threatens Legal Action Against Entire RussiaGate Mob
This will surely get the left riled up.
We all know the saying: You mess with the bull, you get the horns. It looks as though some of President Trump’s most vocal opponents are set to learn that the hard way in the coming weeks.
Trump has endured a great deal of grief, beginning from the very moment that he took office. The left loathes him, and believes that he is beneath the very office itself due to his alleged improprieties, the most tragic of which supposedly involved a plot to collude with the Russian government in order to win the 2016 election.
At the end of that mess, Special Counsel Robert Mueller would not go on to recommend any charges for President Trump, which only served to further frustrate the Democrats who despised The Donald.
And if this vindication of the President is enough to rile them up, wait until they get a load of this.
President Trump on Tuesday blasted the federal prosecutors who until recently were working GOP operative Roger Stone’s case, while even threatening to bring lawsuits over former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “badly tainted” investigation.
“These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
“Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is badly tainted and, in my opinion, should be thrown out,” Trump continued, while slamming Mueller himself and claiming he lied to Congress about whether he sought to lead the FBI.
Then came the clincher:
He added: “If I wasn’t President, I’d be suing everyone all over the place…BUT MAYBE I STILL WILL. WITCH HUNT!”
Those in close proximity to Democrats should be on the lookout for an uptick in cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome in the coming days.
VP Pence Takes A Shot Directly At Bloomberg: ‘So God Made A Farmer’
Mini Mike Bloomberg’s 2016 comments came during a sit-down discussion at Oxford’s Said Business School.
“It’s a process,” he went on to say, referring to the agrarian economy 300 years ago, “you dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on to, add water, up comes the corn.” He then said working in the modern information economy is “fundamentally different, because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets you need to learn are how to think and analyze and that is a whole degree level different, you need to have different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.”
Mike Pence tweeted out a video today praising the profession. “So God Made a Farmer.”

Paul Harvey, we miss you. Update to this story.
Vice President Mike Pence shared a video on Twitter Monday about farmers that appeared to take direct aim at 2020 Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg, who belittled the profession in 2016.
Bloomberg told a room full of people at a 2016 business forum that he “can teach anybody … to be a farmer.” After the comment re-surfaced on Twitter Feb. 14, Pence tweeted out a video Monday praising the profession. More

What a great way to respond to the arrogant, elitist city slicker Mike Bloomberg. The Country can do without him but we can not do without is farmers. They are the original entrepreneurs and the most efficient workers in the country.
BARR: Russia and Ukraine Conspiracy Theories to Be Examined by Network of Prosecutors
AG Barr is taking the Deep State out of the picture by casting a wide net here.
In modern American political history, there isn’t much that compares to the bizarre judicial circumstances endured by President Donald Trump.
The New York City business mogul entered the White House already under duress. There was a “resistance” forming beneath him, as both the liberal left and the Washington elite worried about their future. For the Democrats’ base, there were concerns that Trump’s bombast would be the spearhead that finally plunged hard-right conservatism into the soft flesh of America. For the DC Deep State, there were concerns that their cushy way of life was going to go bye-bye when the thrifty CEO-in-Chief waltzed into the Oval Office.
The backlash that President Trump has been bearing the brunt of has taken many forms, including two prevailing conspiracy theories that the Commander in Chief colluded with or extorted a foreign nation in order to rise to, and stay in, power. These hyperbolic hypotheses led to a number of all-consuming investigations that brought Washington to its knees for months at a time.
Now, the Attorney General wants some answers as to why, and he’s taking the job out of The Beltway.
Attorney General Bill Barr has tapped a growing number of federal prosecutors across the country to review high-profile Russia probes involving Trump associates and consider emerging allegations tied to Ukraine, in a bold but risky move that comes as he faces mounting criticism and even resignation calls from congressional Democrats who allege he’s protecting the president.
On Friday, Fox News reported that Barr appointed Jeff Jensen, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, to review the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Justice Department officials told Fox News Jensen would be working hand-in-hand with Brandon Van Grack, the lead prosecutor in the case. It marked the latest example of Barr bringing on a federal prosecutor to examine a politically charged case.
Once again, the traditional Washington power structure is being cast aside by the Trump administration, reinforcing the drain the swamp ethos of this newly invigorated presidency.
Impeachment Lawyer Claims Proof That Soros Used Obama to Spy
As this story unfolds, the world may finally get a peek behind the curtain at the ‘great and powerful’ Soros.
When we find ourselves watching television shows like House of Cards or The West Wing, we are bombarded with wild and crazy storylines from deep within the Washington power structure that are meant for entertainment purposes only. There are torrid affairs, backdoor deals, and any number of nefarious goings-on that keep us hooked on the drama.
But, in reality, DC likes to downplay these sorts of shenanigans, insisting that politics is more about the mundane ins-and-outs of procedural government than it is about puppeteers, oligarchies, and the illuminati.
Every now and then, however, a story does come to light that seems to push the idea of a seedy underbelly in the world’s elite circles. This week, that tale involves liberal boogeyman George Soros and Democratic darling President Barack Obama.
Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Breitbart News Sunday this weekend that billionaire left-wing financier George Soros told then-President Barack Obama to investigate someone.
Dershowitz would not identify who, precisely, the target of the investigation was, but said that the name would soon emerge in in a lawsuit that had yet to be filed.
The admission took the radio host by surprise.
The revelation was so startling that this host had to double-check:
Q: But let me just ask you — you said that George Soros asked Barack Obama to have his Justice Department investigate somebody?
Dershowitz: We’re — that’s going to come out in a lawsuit in the near future. Yeah
Q: Wow, well, we look forward to hearing more about that new.
Dershowitz: That’s not unusual. That is not unusual. People whisper to presidents all the time. Presidents whisper to [the] Justice Department all the time. It’s very common. It’s wrong, whoever does it, but it’s common, and we shouldn’t think that it’s unique to any particular president. I have in my possession the actual 302 form [an FBI record of an interview], which documents this issue, and it will, at the right time, come out. But I’m not free to disclose it now because it’s a case that’s not yet been filed.
This news will certainly unsettle the conspiracy-minded among us, who have long considered Soros to be a globalist puppeteer of the highest order.
