The Media’s Avalanche of Fake News About Kobe Bryant’s Death

The lamestream media was literally filled with fake news and misinformation in the hours after NBA star Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter accident.

In the all too lamentable rush to be “first” with the news, many media outlets didn’t let that thing called facts get in the way of their fake news as the nation collectively learned of the death of the L.A. Laker star.

Bryant was one of nine people who perished early on Sunday morning when the player’s privately-owned helicopter smashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, during foggy conditions that had grounded many other flights.

The nine people who lost their lives in the crash, included Bryant, his daughter, Gigi, and pilot Ara Zobayan.

The others who died in the crash included Harbor Day School girl’s basketball coach Christina Mauser, Orange Coast College basketball coach John Altobelli, his daughter Alyssa Altobelli and wife, Keri Altobelli, and also Sarah Chester and her 13-year-old daughter, Payton. The latter was an 8th-grade student at St. Margaret’s School.

But during the afternoon on Sunday, the media began disgorging all sorts of rumors and presented them as facts.

ABC News’s Matt Gutman, for instance, reported that the crash not only killed the player, but also killed all four of his daughters. While the player’s 13-year-old daughter did die in the accident, his other three children were safe at home at the time.

“The fact that four of his children are believed to be on that helicopter with him, all daughters, one of them a newborn, is simply devastating,” Gutman said during a live broadcast, adding, “Hoping that this is not the case, but, you know, from the police reports right now, it appears that Kobe Bryant is down in that helicopter.”

On the other side of that coin, reporter Lindsey Mastis insisted that “Kobe Bryant is survived by his wife and four children, so it does not appear they were on board the helicopter.” This was also wildly wrong because daughter Gigi was on board with Kobe and both were killed.

Then there was ESPN which picked up the erroneous rumor that retired NBA player Rick Fox was killed in the accident. Fox was not on the flight at all.

Then there were the images of a helicopter crash filmed in Dubai in 2018 that many said was video of the Bryant cash scene.

In the rush to get the news first, many simply got it wrong.

Beatle John Lennon’s Son Sean Blasts Media for ‘Wuhan Virus’ Double Standard

Sean Lennon has blasted the media for its coverage of the coronavirus , saying they are willfully spreading Chinese propaganda.

Sean Lennon, the son of Beatles star John Lennon and wife Yoko Ono, has blasted the media for its coverage of the coronavirus , saying they are willfully spreading Chinese propaganda.

Sean Lennon, who has a rock career of his own, took to Twitter Wednesday to vent his frustration over the media.

Lennon said that the media has failed during this coronavirus. “The official media have lost their legitimacy,” he wrote.

Lennon accused journalists of parroting China’s claims about the coronavirus with no skepticism. He was apparently referring to the numerous mainstream media reports claiming that the U.S. has surpassed all countries with COVID-19 cases. Those reports rely on Beijing’s questionable claim that China has only seen 82,361 cases.

Lennon also slammed this week’s reports that China has been lying to the rest of the world about its cases of coronavirus.

He wondered how the U.S. media could be so surprised.

Lennon next took a swipe at the media for originally calling the virus the Wuhan virus only to make a 180 and begin calling anyone who used the term a racist.

Naturally, many of Lennon’s left-wing followers were none too happy with his comments.

CBS News Caught Passing Video of Overload Italian ER as Pressed New York Hospitals

In another effort to “get” Trump, CBS News was caught using video of an overloaded hospital in Italy as if it were a New York hospital.

Published

In another effort to “get” Trump, CBS News was caught using video of an overloaded hospital in Italy as if it were a New York hospital that has been overrun by coronavirus patients.

CBS was attempting to paint a dire picture of New York being inundated by sick patients and claiming that it is all evil orange man’s fault.

But last week, CBS used footage of a hospital in Italy shot by Sky News during its report about New York.

On Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, CBS aired a segment of N.Y. Gov. Cuomo once again whining that he is being ill-served by President Trump.

In its March 25 report, CBS insisted that reporter David Begnaud “takes a look at how the pandemic is being handled across the U.S.”

But here is the report by Sky News that shows the exact same hospital footage, only it is properly reported as an ER in Italy.

In its March 22 report, Sky News said:

Staff frantically wave us out of the way, pushing gurneys carrying men and women on mobile respirators – it’s not chaos, but it is hectic.

They rush past wards already rammed with beds all filled with people in terrible distress – gasping for air, clutching at their chests and at tubes pumping oxygen into their oxygen-starved lungs.

Of course, they couldn’t find any video of U.S. hospitals being overrun. So, they used a foreign video and pretended it was New York.

Once again, the U.S. media uses fake video, misdirection, and subtle falsehoods to try to fool American audiences into thinking that Trump is evil orange man.

The media are the enemy of the people.

PBS Reporter Gleefully Says Attacking Trump Must Be a ‘Team Sport’ for the Media

Proving massive bias in the media, PBS “reporter” Yamiche Alcindor was heard happily exclaiming that the role of the press is to be Trump’s enemy.

Proving the massive bias in the media, PBS “reporter” Yamiche Alcindor was heard happily exclaiming that the role of the press is to be Trump’s enemy.

Speaking to left-winger Ali Velshi on MSNBC on Sunday, Alcindor was heard crowing that attacking Trump is a “team sport” for the media. And she insisted that the whole of the press corps must align to the attack and must “have each other’s back” in opposition to Trump.

Alcindor was speaking about an example of the media’s ignorant treatment of the president during another contentious press conference on Sunday. Alcindor was whining that she didn’t get enough attention during the conference.

“I have to say thank you to Jeremy of CNN for giving me the opportunity to ask my second question. We know now that covering President Trump sometimes is like a team sport. We have to have each other’s back in the press corps and Jeremy had my back today,” Alcindor told the MSNBC host.

Alcindor added:

So, he’s been telling people, the country, churches should be packed by Easter Sunday and today he had to admit, “Actually I have to extend my guidelines to April 30th.” And, of course, my question was about the fact that he’s been saying repeatedly that governors don’t need the medical equipment that they’re requesting, specifically saying New York doesn’t need 30 to 40,000 ventilators. Of course, the President lashed out.

Alcindor is another one of those hardcore leftists who claim that the media’s job is to “hold people accountable.”

This, of course, is 1960’s clap crap. A reporter’s job is to report the facts. Not crusade against people.

If their facts lead to trouble for ne’er-do-wells, that is fine. But their job is NOT to crusade. Just to report.

Still, what is obvious here is that Alcindor also thinks that the job of the media is to destroy Trump at all costs.

Just more proof for why the U.S. government should immediately stop funding public broadcasting.

Statistics Show that U.S.A. Trails Six Other Nations in Coronavirus Cases

When adjusted for population, cases of coronavirus in the U.S. lag behind six other countries, a fact that stands contrary to what Democrats claim.

Published

on

When adjusted for population, cases of coronavirus in the U.S. lag behind six other countries, a fact that stands contrary to what Democrats and their media lapdogs say about Donald Trump’s actions endangering the U.S.A.

The media played its best partisan card on Thursday claiming that the US.A. led the world in the number of cases of the virus. But this is misleading news. You know the old saying. Figures can’t lie, but liars can figure.

As Daily Wire reported:

It is true that the United States may be behind many other nations as to when the coronavirus took hold. As Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner notes, “Furthermore, not all countries have the same metrics for reporting cases, nor do they all test at the same rate or administer tests with the same reliability.” And nations such as China and Iran are not known for their transparency.

Using the raw case counts from the Johns Hopkins University database for the top 10 countries on Thursday, Klein explained, “So, for instance, on a raw basis, there are 83,507 reported cases of the coronavirus in the U.S., compared with 80,589 in Italy. But the U.S. has about 5.5 times the population of Italy. If Italy were scaled up to the U.S. population, it would have the equivalent of 443,237 cases.”

Klein went on to note what the numbers of each major country would be if they all had the same population of the U.S.A.

Switzerland: 457,683
Italy: 443,237
Spain: 405,731
Germany: 174,693
France: 147,030
Iran: 118,341
United States: 83,507
United Kingdom: 59,045
South Korea: 58,644
China: 19,882

So, what that in mind, clearly the U.S. is far from the worst of all as the media tried to claim as on Thursday.

But who need truth and facts when your only real goal is to destroy Trump?

Dr. Brix Slams Media for False Claims, Especially About How Many Will Get Coronavirus and Die from It

Dr. Deborah Brix, head of the White House’s Coronavirus Response effort, is warning the public not to fall for all the fake news out there.

Published

Dr. Deborah Brix, head of the White House’s Coronavirus Response effort, is warning the public not to fall for all the fake news out there, especially about how many people with catch the virus and then die from it.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Brix noted that many of the wild-eyed claims in the media are based on models that had zero controls and she slammed the media for pushing bad science.

“That is nowhere close to the numbers you see people putting out there. I think it has frightened the American people,” she said standing next to the vice president.

Brix was at it again on Thursday, too, bursting the media’s tidal wave of lies.

In another segment of her address on Thursday, Brix noted that 19 out of 50 states had early cases of coronavirus, but have persistently low levels of cases.

“That’s almost 40% of the country with extraordinary low numbers and they are testing,” she said.

Brix also shot down those claiming that 60 percent of the country will become infected with the coronavirus.

The media is making this outbreak worse. Don’t believe them.

‘New York Times’ Lies about Facts about Trump and Ventilators

The ‘New York Times’ has been caught lying about the number of ventilators available during this coronavirus scare.

Published

on

The New York Times has been caught lying about what the Society of Critical Care Medicine has said about the number of ventilators available during this coronavirus scare.

On Wednesday, New York Times correspondent Trip Gabriel tweeted out the paper’s fake news. Gabriel wrote, “There are at most 200k ventilators in the US. One million are expected to be needed. Experts say the Trump administration approach – let states fend for themselves in the market rather than a central authority step in – will doom people to die.”

The tweet referred to the paper’s story that day entitled, “Amid Desperate Need for Ventilators, Calls Grow for Federal Intervention.”

But as former Times reporter Alex Berenson noted, the Times simply lied about what the SCCM said.

Berenson jumped to Twitter with a trenchant thread to show how the paper outright lied.

Once again, we find that the New York Times is constantly filled with lies.

POLL: 61 Percent of Voters Approve of How Trump Is Responding to Coronavirus

A majority of Americans approve of how President Donald Trump is responding to the coronavirus crisis despite the daily attacks by the media.

Published

on

A majority of Americans approve of how President Donald Trump is responding to the coronavirus crisis despite the daily attacks by the media and the Democrats.

According to a The Hill/HarrisX daily poll, 61 percent of respondents say that the Trump administration is taking strong enough measures to slow or stop the spread of the current coronavirus strain. Meanwhile, only 39 percent said they do not feel the president is acting properly.

Despite the good showing for the president, The Hill still tried to bad mouth its own poll saying that the good result may just be am effect of the “rally around” feeling people have for their leaders in a crisis.

“Publics tend to rally around their presidents in time of national emergency, and it’s something we’ve observed in many situations,” Karlyn Bowman, public opinion analyst and senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, told The Hill.

“We’re seeing strong agreement in many polls that the Trump administration is taking strong measures,” Bowman added, “that said, I think we have to be cautious about the deep differences on Republicans, Democrats, and Independents on your question. We’re seeing that in other polls too, which indicates that partisan disagreements are still there, still very powerful and that could limit the rally.”

The Hill added:

The March 14-15 survey found 88 percent of Republican voters agreed that the Trump White House was taking strong enough measures to combat coronavirus, along with 57 percent of independents.

However, only 41 percent of Democratic voters felt the same.

Still, even as The Hill attempted to defeat its own poll by bad mouthing Trump, a recent Gallup poll finds that the president has maintained his 49 percent approval that he has been hovering around for the last few weeks.

Gallup found that Trump was at 49 percent in February and fell a few points recently just ahead of the pandemic. But as the nation begins to take stock of Trump’s actions during this crisis, his numbers have gone back up again.
