Republican Crushed Democrat in the Texas Special Election that Media Called a ‘Bellwether’ Contest

A Republican cruised to an easy election win in a Texas special election that the media desperately hoped the Democrat would win.

On Tuesday, a Republican cruised to an easy election win in a Texas special election that the media desperately hoped the Democrat would win.

Businessman Gary Gates easily crushed his Democrat opponent, Eliz Markowitz, in the suburban Houston special election that many assumed the Democrat would win because… you know… everyone hates Trump.

Tuesday’s loss makes Markowitz a two-time election loser.

Democrats flooded the district with outside cash in the hopes that Markowitz could pick off a Republican seat in the Texas legislature.

The liberals had hoped to proclaim that Texas is “in play” for 2020 by defeating the Republican, but it was not to be. Republican Gates picked up 58 percent of the votes in the district and walked away with the election.

“Today, voters resoundingly rejected the Democrats’ socialist ideology and took a major step toward keeping Texas red. As we look ahead to the 2020 election, we must be prepared to replicate this success across the state if we are to secure a more prosperous future for Texas,” GOP Gov. Greg Abbott said in a celebratory statement.

Perhaps a key mistake was that Markowitz relied heavily on an endorsement from loser Democrat “Beto” O’Rourke. He was seen everywhere in the campaign as a Markowitz booster and Republican voters soon became so incensed over this loser’s intrusion into their local race that they turned out in droves for Gates.

Still, the district is not as red as it used to be. Trump only won the district by ten points and Ted Cruz only won it by three for his 2018 Senate re-election campaign. It is clear why Democrats hoped that they just might get an upset in the district.

Still, the liberal party lost. Naturally, Democrats tried to spin the loss as a win that they will easily pick it up next time.

We’ll see.

But for now, another Texas Republican has been added to the Lone Star State’s firmament. And the left lost its prayed-for talking point with which to attack Trump.

Facebook Illegally Blocking Ads for Candidate for Congress Laura Loomer

Facebook is blocking the ads for leading congressional candidate Laura Loomer, one of the leaders in the Florida polls.

Published

Facebook is blocking the ads for leading congressional candidate Laura Loomer, one of the leaders in the polls for Florida’s 21st Congressional District.

Loomer recently tried to take out a new series of political ads on Facebook to reach the 21st District’s more than 330,000 voters.

But Facebook pulled her ads despite that she is a legitimate — and leading — candidate for congress.

Loomer explained:

This week, we attempted to reach voters on Facebook with our newest campaign ad and guess what happened . . . Facebook killed our ads with no notice and shut down our ability to reach voters.

There is no doubt at all that this is Election Interference.

The Loomer campaign then took the step of posting her campaign ads online so that supporters can download them for themselves.

“I’ll be posting all of our campaign ads on our server for anyone to download. Links are below, just click and save the file. If you have a Facebook account, post the videos on your timeline. If you know of any friends or family in Florida – even better Palm Beach County – send the videos to them, post them in comments and do everything you can to get them out there,” Loomer said in a statement.

Here are links to the two recent ads:
Video One: Democrat Chaos
Video Two: Fighter

Loomer has also became the first congressional candidate to begin using the new social media platform, Parler. The new site is touted as a free speech alternative to Twitter an Facebook.

Investigation: Democrats Paid Penn. Election Officials to Steal Election

A Department of Justice investigation alleges that Democrats paid Pennsylvania election officials to steal elections for at least three elections.

Published

on

A Department of Justice investigation alleges that Democrats paid Pennsylvania election officials to stuff ballot boxes to steal elections in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

The DOJ announced charges against former Judge of Elections Domenick DeMuro, Thursday, for stuffing the ballot box for Democrats in exchange for payment by a paid political consultant.

According to Breitbart News:

The charges, and guilty plea, include conspiracy to deprive Philadelphia voters of their civil rights by fraudulently stuffing the ballot boxes for specific Democrat candidates in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 primary elections and a violation of the Travel Act.

“The Trump administration’s prosecution of election fraud stands in stark contrast to the total failure of the Obama Justice Department to enforce these laws,” Public Interest Legal Foundation President Christian Adams said in a statement. “Right now, other federal prosecutors are aware of cases of double voting in federal elections as well as noncitizen voting. Attorney General William Barr should prompt those other offices to do their duty and prosecute known election crimes.”

DeMuro was paid to oversee the elections in Philadelphia’s 39th Ward.

“DeMuro’s guilty plea states that he was paid by a political consultant to illegally add votes for particular Democrat candidates in primary judicial races. The political consultant who allegedly paid DeMuro had been hired by those Democrat candidates,” Breitbart added.

The election official eventually admitted that he illegally filled out ballots for Democrats and then later certified the votes as legal.

“DeMuro fraudulently stuffed the ballot box by literally standing in a voting booth and voting over and over, as fast as he could, while he thought the coast was clear,” U.S. Attorney William McSwain said in a statement. “This is utterly reprehensible conduct. The charges announced today do not erase what he did, but they do ensure that he is held to account for those actions.”

Public Interest Legal Foundation President Christian Adams celebrated the election fraud charges.

“The Trump administration’s prosecution of election fraud stands in stark contrast to the total failure of the Obama Justice Department to enforce these laws,” Adams said. “Right now, other federal prosecutors are aware of cases of double voting in federal elections as well as noncitizen voting. Attorney General William Barr should prompt those other offices to do their duty and prosecute known election crimes.”

Republican Wins U.S. House Race In California, First Time GOP Flipped CA Seat In 22 Years

Published

Democrat Christy Smith conceded the special election race for California’s 25th Congressional District to Republican Mike Garcia today, marking the first time Republicans will retake a Democratic-held congressional seat in the state since 1998.

Dave Wasserman, U.S. House editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, notes that it was the first time that Republicans had flipped a seat in California since 1998.

TDW:

Republican Mike Garcia has defeated Democrat Christy Smith in a special election for California’s 25th congressional district, marking the time that the Republican Party has flipped a U.S. House seat in California in more than two decades.

“While it’s critical that we ensure every vote is counted and recorded, we believe that the current tally shows Mike Garcia is the likely victor in the May 12 special election,” Smith said in a statement conceding defeat. “As such, I’d like to congratulate him.”

“Garcia held a comfortable 12-point lead over Smith with 76.3 percent of precincts reported at the time she conceded,” The Washington Post reported. “A win for Garcia gives Republicans an opportunity to boast that this is evidence they can claw back these types of suburban swing districts they lost in the 2018 midterms.”

President Donald Trump was already celebrating Garcia’s win early on Wednesday morning, writing on Twitter, “Big Congressional win in California for Mike Garcia, taking back a seat from the Democrats. This is the first time in many years that a California Dem seat has flipped back to a Republican. Also, Tom Tiffany beat his Democrat rival BIG in Wisconsin. Two great Congressional WINS!” More

Okay California, you are moving in the right direction. Now, get rid of Pelosi, Waters, Schiff, Harris, Feinstein and keep moving your Democrats out and replace them with people who actually care about our country!

Why Mail-In Ballots are Dangerous: 15 Elections Invalidated for Fraudulent Mail-In Votes

Democrats have been racing to push mail-in voting across the country, but the idea is a recipe for fraud.

Published

on

Democrats have been racing to push mail-in voting across the country, but the idea is a recipe for fraud. Here are 15 times elections were voided due to fraudulent mail-in votes.

The left is attempting to use the coronavirus as a screen to push their election-stealing plot with mail-in voting. You know how Democrats are; they don’t let a good crisis go to waste as they push their anti-American agenda come hell or high water.

So, the coronavirus is their latest excuse to fundamentally tearing down the U.S.A. and replace it with their socialist utopia. And mail-in balloting it their newest attempt to do that.

Of course, we already have a system of mail-in voting today. It is called absentee voting. And we can already see that if this sort of system was instituted as a defacto way to vote, Democrats would use the system to defraud and steal elections.

In many states, voters need to declare a reason to vote absentee and mail in their vote. But what liberals now want to do is remove any requirements to have a legitimate reason to vote by mail. They want mail-in voting to be a regular way to vote.

But if this happens, it will be a disaster for the integrity of our elections.

The folks at Daily Signal reported on 15 elections that were invalidated because of fraudulent mail-in, absentee ballots.

Here are four of the 15 DS highlighted:

  • In one of the most high profile cases, the North Carolina Board of Elections decertified the outcome of the 2018 race in the 9th Congressional District and ordered a new election after evidence of absentee ballot fraud emerged. About 61% of all mailed votes were cast for Republican candidate Mark Harris over Democrat Dan McReady, although only 16% of those requesting a ballot were Republicans. In the new election, Republican Dan Bishop stepped in as the party nominee and won.
  • In 2018, Dennis Jones beat Tracy Gray by one vote in a Republican primary in Texas for a seat on the Kaufman County Commissioners Court. Gray challenged the outcome, alleging a vote harvester submitted illegal mail-in ballots, while eligible provisional ballots went uncounted. After a hearing, a state judge invalidated the results and ordered a new election, which Gray won by 404 votes.
  • In another 2018 Texas case, Armando O’Cana seemingly won a run-off race for mayor in Mission, Texas, beating incumbent Norberto “Beto” Salinas. But after strong evidence emerged that O’Cana’s campaign had bribed voters, tampered with absentee ballots, and improperly “assisted” voters at the polls, state Judge J. Bonner Dorsey invalidated the result, saying: “I hold or find, by clear and convincing evidence, that the number of illegal votes was in excess of 158.”
  • In 2017, Eatonville, Florida Mayor Anthony Grant was convicted of a felony charge of voting fraud and misdemeanor absentee voting violations. Prosecutors said that as a candidate in 2015, Grant coerced absentee voters to cast ballots for him. In at least one case, prosecutors said, Grant personally solicited an absentee vote from a nonresident. Grant, a former mayor, lost the in-person vote but won the election with more than twice the number of absentee ballots that incumbent Bruce Mount got. After Grant’s indictment, then-Gov. Rick Scott suspended the mayor. After his conviction, he was sentenced to 400 hours of community service and four years’ probation.

Check Daily Signal for the rest of their list.

“The largest number of voter fraud cases involve absentee ballots,” said Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the election law reform initiative at The Heritage Foundation, where he is a senior legal fellow.

“The problem with vote harvesting is that it destroys the secret ballot. It allows people to go into homes, pressure people,” von Spakovsky added.

It also allows for people so simply invent ballots, fill them out by the dozens in one sitting, and then send them in the mail as if they were real votes.

It makes trusting these votes impossible, even when they are perfectly legitimate, and we should staunchly oppose this latest treacherous idea coming from the left.

Soros-Backed Leftist US Local Prosecutors Thriving

While Trump tries to remake the federal courts, progressive state prosecutors are making huge inroads.

Published

on

By

Progressives have zeroed in on electing prosecutors as an avenue for criminal justice reform, and the billionaire George Soros provided the cash to make it all happen.

Democrats don’t care about keeping people safe. Instead of law and order, the criminal left wants lawlessness and chaos to take over our cities.

Breitbart:

Arlington (United States) (AFP) – On the national level, President Donald Trump is appointing judges by the dozens to positions on US federal courts, ensuring a conservative tilt for a generation.

But on the local level, a small group of progressive state prosecutors have been elected, and they have big ideas about criminal justice reform.

Parisa Dehghani-Tafti — who is now the top prosecutor in northern Virginia’s Arlington county in the Washington suburbs — knows she is not the “typical” candidate for the job.

“I am an immigrant. I grew up very poor. I have done some (public) defender work,” says the 46-year-old, who was born in Iran, and is a mother to two black children.

“The federal judiciary is changing, it’s becoming very conservative. It’s even more important that folks who are reform-informed people are running and engaged in the local system,” she told AFP.

“We are now the frontline.”

Since he won the White House, Trump has named nearly 200 judges to the federal bench. In that time, about 40 unorthodox prosecutors — one is even a tattooed biker — have taken office.

For Miriam Krinsky — a former federal prosecutor and the executive director of Fair and Just Prosecution (FJP), which is supporting these local attorneys — the progressives represent a “drop in the ocean.”

But many of them have emerged in major cities such as Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, and Orlando: “jurisdictions that impact large numbers in terms of prison population.”

– ‘Justice League’ –

The United States has the largest number of prison detainees in the world at more than 2.2 million, according to the World Prison Brief database. More

“For Hadar Aviram, a professor at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, it’s too soon to know what kind of impact the prosecutors are having on prison populations and racial justice.”

There is no such thing as “racial justice.” There is the presumption of innocence until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Everything else is a carefully orchestrated disinformation campaign that ultimately results in the kind of “justice” recently manifested in NYC, where a man nicknamed ‘serial subway scammer’ just got arrested for the 140th time, after his no bail release following his 139th arrest.

Watchdog Finds Millions of Illegal Voter Registrations in Calif., Penn., Col., North Carolina, Virginia

Judicial Watch Finds Millions of ‘Extra’ Registrants on Voting Rolls – Warns California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Colorado, Virginia.

Judicial Watch Finds Millions of ‘Extra’ Registrants on Voting Rolls – Warns California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Colorado, Virginia to Clean Up Voting Rolls or Face a Federal Lawsuit

At Least 2.5 Million Extra Names on Voting Rolls, Drop of One Million After Successful Judicial Watch Lawsuits

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it is continuing its efforts to force states and counties across the nation to comply with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), by sending notice-of-violation letters to 19 large counties in five states that it intends to sue unless the jurisdictions take steps to comply with the law and remove ineligible voter registrations within 90 days. Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act requires jurisdictions to take reasonable efforts to remove ineligible registrations from its rolls.

Despite successful litigation by Judicial Watch to bring counties and states into compliance with the National Voter Registration Act, voter registration lists across the country remain significantly out of date. According to Judicial Watch’s analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) this year, there are 378 counties nationwide that have more voter registrations than citizens living there and old enough to vote, i.e., counties where registration rates exceed 100%. These 378 counties combined had about 2.5 million registrations over the 100%-registered mark, which is a drop of about one million from Judicial Watch’s previous analysis of voter registration data. Although San Diego County removed 500,000 inactive names from voter rolls following Judicial Watch’s settlement with Los Angeles County, San Diego still has a registration rate of 117% and has one of the highest registration rates in the county.

In the latest round of warning letters, Judicial Watch explains that implausibly high registration rates raise legal concerns:

An unusually high registration rate suggests that a jurisdiction is not removing voters who have died or who have moved elsewhere, as required by [federal law].

Judicial Watch also considers how many registrations were ultimately removed from the voter rolls because a registrant [had moved]. If few or no voters were removed…the jurisdiction is obviously failing to comply . . . States must report the number of such removals to the EAC.

Judicial Watch found major voting list issues in California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. The following counties have excessive registration rates or have failed to cancel sufficient numbers of ineligible registrations:

Colorado
Jefferson County

California
Imperial County
Monterey County
Orange County
Riverside County
San Diego County
San Francisco County
San Mateo County
Santa Clara County
Solano County
Stanislaus County
Yolo County

North Carolina
Guilford County
Mecklenburg County

Virginia
Fairfax County

Pennsylvania
Allegheny County
Bucks County
Chester County
Delaware County

“Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections and Judicial Watch will insist, in court if necessary, that states follow federal law to clean up their voting rolls,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Previous Judicial Watch lawsuits have already led to major cleanups in California, Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio – but more needs to be done. It is common sense that voters who die or move away be removed from the voting rolls.”
