Pro Soccer Player Calls Americans ‘Disgusting’ for Chanting USA as He Knelt for Anthem

An anti-American pro soccer player was disgusted when fans chanted “USA, USA” as he and his fellow teammates took a knee during the national anthem on Wednesday.

Dallas Soccer Star Reggie Cannon was furious when fans exhibited more patriotism than all the players on the field combined, Wednesday.

At the start of the game, as is apparently de rigueur in every major sport now, the players began protesting against the very country that has allowed them to become rich playing kid’s games.

But not all fans appreciated the anti-Americanism and they began booing and chanting “USA, USA.”

Cannon, for one, was” disgusted” by the pro-American sentiment.

“I think it was disgusting. I think it was absolutely disgusting. You got fans booing you for people taking a stand for what they believe in and millions of other people support this cause,” he exploded in a post-game rant.

“Unfortunately, it was played during these times when we asked for the anthem not to be played. It pissed me off that you can’t even have support from your own fans in your own stadium. It’s baffling to me,” the anti-American player added.

In another segment of his screeching he said, “…The last six months have been absolute hell for us. Absolute hell. Because We have to watch other people play soccer, and we’re just sitting home unfortunately contracting COVID from the unfortunate situations that we were put in…”

“We had someone chanting “USA!” when they don’t understand what kneeling means,” he exclaimed.

Cannon went on a rant attacking patriotic Americans:

The fact is, it is historical revisionism to claim that protests aren’t meant as a direct attack on the country, its troops, police, and traditions.

The man who invented the act of taking a knee during the anthem said as much when he created it in 2016.

When he first began his protests in 2016, former NFL player Colin Kaepernick said quite directly that he could not stand for the American flag. His protest was a direct attack on the flag and the country, and he said so in his own words in August of 2016.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder,” Kaepernick said.

Kaepernick gave other clues about the nature of his protests in 2016, as well. For instance, he wore a shirt praising Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, a mass murderer, and self-professed enemy of America. Kaepernick also showed that he was not just protesting the few police that misbehave when he wore socks that portrayed all police officers as pigs.

Also, in 2016, Kaepernick said that the U.S. was never great, noting that he was standing up against the whole country in general, not just in support of “social justice,” with his anthem protests.

The former NFL player also made his protest about the flag when he forced Nike to ditch its Betsy Ross flag shoes in 2019. Nike announced that it intended to release a patriotic gym shoe with a Betsy Ross Flag theme until Kaepernick ginned up the anti-American left to attack Nike for the proposal. In one of his broadsides against Nike, Kaepernick even claimed that the U.S. Betsy Ross flag was a “symbol of slavery.”

Unsurprisingly, Nike immediately caved in and dumped the plans for the patriotic shoe.

Kaepernick himself said that the protests were pure anti-Americanism through and through.

Clearly it is Reggie Cannon who doesn’t understand what kneeling means.

Sports Fans Sick of the Leftism: Favorability Rating for Sports Plummets

A Gallup poll finds that the favorability rating for sports has crashed a whopping thirty points in only a year with the advent of the ultra-woke era of sports.

Published

on

A Gallup poll finds that the favorability rating for sports has crashed a whopping thirty points in only a year with the advent of the ultra-woke era of sports.

Gallup released its latest polling result on Tuesday revealing a major warning sign to the sports industry.

Overall, the number of people who have a favorable view of the sports industry has plummeted from plus twenty last year to minus ten this year, a fall of 30 percentage points.

While it is probably not a surprise that the numbers fell the most among respondents who identified as Republicans, it also bottomed out among independents. Those who called themselves Republicans went from plus eleven last year to minus 35 in the latest survey. That is a massive drop of 46 points. However, independents also fell out of love with sports going from plus 26 last year to minus ten. That is a 36-point drop.

That is a massive drop for independents, and that is something that should make the sports industry sit up and take notice. It is easy for the woke industry to dismiss the drop among members of the GOP and chalk it up to supposedly expected “racism,” but if independents have lost all respect for the leagues, that says something about how far overboard they have gone.

Gallup also found its results on sports alarming.

“Sports has been acutely affected by the twin events steering news and culture in 2020: the pandemic and the renewed movement for racial justice,” Gallup wrote in its summary. “The sports industry’s relationship with fans has been disrupted by the need to shrink its seasons and schedules and play to empty venues as a means of keeping fans and players safe. At the same time, the greater social and political activism of players and, in some cases now, coaching staffs and entire leagues appears to have turned off Americans who disagree with their messages or the way they express them. The net effect at this point has been negative for the industry’s image.”

People are already sick and tired of the in-your-face wokeness, and we have not even seen the debut of college football with the Big 12 warning fans that it intends to slam viewers with repeated “social justice” messages during its upcoming games.

Thursday evening will see the debut of the NFL’s 2020 season, as well, and all manner of protests and displays for Black Lives Matter is planned.

The NFL’s ratings have crashed, too. Football has suffered a double-digit drop in ratings for its pitiably woke season opener.

Finally, NBA ratings are also down 20% during the playoffs. And a poll found that 38% of fans are not watching the NBA because it’s “too political.”

NFL’s Black Lives Matter-Soaked Thursday Night Football Suffers Ratings Crash

Published

on

Football came back on Thursday night with a Black Lives Matter-soaked wokefest. The fans, though, apparently didn’t come back because the TV ratings crashed big time.

On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Houston Texans in Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City. It was dripping with Black Lives Matter activism, anti-cop garbage, and other protesting.

And fans ignored the show in droves according to the ratings.

As Breitbart Sports reported:

According to Deadline Hollywood, “…the Kansas City Chiefs pummeled the Houston Texans 34-20, and the ratings were down — a lot. In early numbers, the primetime NBC game scored a 5.2 among adults 18-49 and 16.4 million viewers between 8-11 p.m. ET.

“Now, those numbers for the 8:25-11:30 p.m. ET game will certainly be adjusted upward later, but right now they mark a 16.1% drop over the spectacle of the September 5, 2019 season opener in the advertiser-rich demographic. In an America and a NFL still adjusting to the new normal of live sports in the era of COVID-19, last night’s game also fell 16.1% in total sets of eyeballs from last year’s fast affiliate results.”

Thursday night’s numbers gave the NFL a nasty blow and a ten-year low in ratings.

“On a field bordered with the words “End Racism” and fans booing as players from both teams linked arms before kickoff in a sign of solidarity with those fighting social injustice, the ratings and viewership decline could be an ominous sign for a league and the networks,” Deadline reports. “The stellar numbers of last year’s opener, the Green Bay Packers’ grinding 10-3 victory over the Chicago Bears, kicked off a tightly run season that seemingly had reversed years of weakening numbers. Now it could be a case of déjà vu all over again.”

If the NFL thought that people were hungering for the return of football, Thursday must have been a heavy blow.

The fact is, most Americans don’t want to see millionaire athletes telling them they are racists and that their country is evil.

They just want them to shut up and play ball.

Few care what super rich pro athletes have to say about anything.

NBA, MLB End Games in Protest Over Shooting of Jacob Blake

The NBA and MLB both decided to stop playing their games this week in “protest” over the shooting of Wisconsin man Jacob Blake.

Published

on

The NBA and MLB both decided to stop playing their games this week in “protest” over the shooting of Wisconsin man Jacob Blake.

The TV ratings for both the NBA and Pro Baseball have been in the dumper since coming back from the COVID hysteria break, anyway, so maybe no one will even notice?

How stopping a basketball game or a baseball game is a meaningful “protest” for a police action in Wisconsin, though, is anybody’s guess.

Sooner or later these dope athletes will have to come to the realization that nobody cares what they think about anything and all their “activism” is meaningless palaver.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Bucks refused to come out of their locker room to play game five of their series with the Orlando Magic because of the Blake incident in Kenosha over the weekend.

The Magic were seen on the court throwing some practice shots, but according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Bucks stayed in their locker room and said they would not come out.

“We’re tired of the killings, and the injustice,” Bucks player George Hill told The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears on Wednesday.

An hour later, baseball also put an end to their games.

The feeling is reportedly spreading far and wide. According to a report at Sports Illustrated, some of the loudest, most politically woke players are beginning to realize that athletes don’t have the power to “change” things as they imagined.

For instance, Toronto Raptors player Fred VanVleet wondered if all the wearing of Black Lives Matter t-shirts was doing anything at all to affect change.

“It’s just starting to feel like everything we’re doing is just going through the motions. Nothing’s changing.,” VanVleet said on Monday, according to SI.

“At what point do we not have to speak about it anymore?” VanVleet added. “Are we going to hold everybody accountable, or we’re just going to put the spotlight on Black people, or Black athletes, or entertainers and say, ‘What are you doing? What are you contributing to your community? What are you putting on the line?”

“Do we actually give a fuck about what’s going on, or is it just cool to wear ‘Black Lives Matter’ on the backdrop, or wear a T-shirt? Like, what does that really mean? Is it really doing anything,” the Raptors guard exclaimed. “[A]t the end of the day, if we’re going to sit here and talk about making change, then at some point we’re going to have to put our nuts on the line and actually put something up to lose, rather than just money or visibility. I’m just over the media aspect of it. It’s sensationalized, we talk about it every day, that’s all we see, but it just feels like a big pacifier to me.”

Other players have also been questioning their effectiveness. Boston Celtics players Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown had also voiced frustration that everything athletes are doing has been pointless and expressed support for boycotting the games.

Smart recently insisted that “Right now, our focus shouldn’t be on basketball,” And Brown exclaimed that he wants to “protest.”

ESPN’s Dan Le Batard Thinks It’s Funny that Christian NBA Player Jonathan Issacs Got Hurt

ESPN radio host Dan Le Batard jumped to Twitter Monday to say he thought it was funny when Christian NBA player got hurt.

Published

on

Dan Le Batard, a left-wing creep and host of an ESPN radio show, jumped to Twitter Monday to say he thought it was funny when Christian NBA player Jonathan Issacs got a brutal ACL injury on Sunday.

You may recall that Issacs refused to wear a Black Lives Matter t-shirt and would not take a knee during the national anthem during Sunday’s game.

Issacs insisted that he is a Christian and, while he believes in the basic idea that “black lives matter,” he just can’t kneel for any cause but his religion.

Apparently, standing for your principles is enough for Dan Le Retard to wish harm on you if you oppose his political agenda.

Issacs’ ACL tear was so bad he had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair.

But on Monday morning, Le Batard posted a “funny” poll asking his fans to weigh in on just how hilarious Issacs’ injury was on the court.

Le Batard asked his listeners “Is it funny that the guy who refused to kneel immediately blew out his knee?”

It wasn’t long, though, before the condemnation of Le Batard’s hate-filled tweet left him sputtering in apology, removing the tweet, and posting a mea culpa.

“We apologize for this poll question. I said on the front and back end of the on-air conversation that I didn’t think it was funny. Regardless of the context, we missed the mark. We took the tweet down when we realized our mistake in how we posed the question to the audience,” the post read.

He’s not really sorry. He’s just sorry he got caught.

Former Packers Star Brett Favre Golfs with President Trump After Praising Colin Kapernick

Packers star Brett Favre hit the links with President Trump, Saturday, even after Favre had praised national anthem protester Colin Kaepernick.

Published

Former Green Bay Packers star Brett Favre hit the links with President Donald Trump, Saturday, even after Favre had praised national anthem protester Colin Kaepernick.

The president noted the match in a Sunday morning tweet saying, “Brett LOVES Wisconsin, Mississippi and Minnesota. A good golfer – hits it LONG!”

The event is interesting because the 1997 Super Bowl winner recently praised protester and former NFL player Colin Kaepernick for taking a stand in spite of his football career. And Trump is a vocal and well-known critic of the national anthem protester.

Farve mentioned Kaepernick during an interview with TMZ Sports last week, saying that Kaepernick would go down in history as a “hero.” He even equated Kaepernick with Army Ranger Pat Tillman who set aside his NFL career to fight in Afghanistan where he lost his life in battle in 2004.

But Farve quickly earned criticism for seeming to equate the anti-American Kaepernick and Army Ranger Tillman. He later tried to clarify that he respected the players because they both set aside their football careers for a cause.

“Including Pat Tillman’s name in the interview on Colin Kaepernick was not a comparison of the two, but a recognition that they both sidelined their football dreams in pursuit of a cause. Pat tragically lost his life, making the ultimate sacrifice, and deserves the highest honor,” the 50-year-old former NFL player said on June 22.

Still, Farve has studiously avoided talking politics in his long career in the public eye. Whatever he thinks about Donald Trump, he clearly saw no reason not to go golfing with him. That alone has brought him much flak on social media this weekend.

Hilarious: NBA Players Already Turning On Each Other During Quarantine

It looks like NBA players are already turning on each other while locked up in quarantine ahead of the 2020 season.

Published

It looks like NBA players are already turning on each other while locked up in quarantine ahead of the truncated 2020 season.

According to inside reports, the players are snitching on each other for violating the quarantine protocols.

Shams Charania says that “multiple tips” have been called into the NBA’s hotline at Disney.

The players are being secluded at the Disney resort in Orlando ahead of the July 30 restart to the NBA’s 2020 season.

“Multiple tips have been placed into the NBA’s anonymous hotline to report protocol violations on campus, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA.”

Now that is hilarious.

And here we thought that “snitches get stitches”?

The players are supposed to be secluded in the Disney resort to prevent them from coming in contact with the virus. The plan is to keep the players isolated and to make sure they are ready to play the back half of the coronavirus 2020 season.

But, one can imagine just how many of them are sneaking out to enjoy themselves regardless of the rules. After all, they are woke! They don’t need rules.

How much you want to bet the NBA ends up having multiple cases right there in Orlando! And then the whole thing gets canceled.

Ex-NFLer Marcellus Wiley Slams NBA for Painting ‘Black Lives Matter’ on Court Sidelines

Ex-NFL player Marcellus Wiley says that the NBA’s decision to paint Black Lives Matter on court sidelines is a bad idea.

Published

on

Ex-NFL player Marcellus Wiley says that the NBA’s decision to paint Black Lives Matter on court sidelines is a bad idea.

Last month, the National Basketball Association announced that it intended to paint Black Lives Matter on the floor of the court at Disney World in Orlando that is to be used for the coronavirus shortened 2020 basketball season.

But former Buffalo Bills player and sports analyst Marcellus Wiley is not on board with the NBA’s activism. “It’s not a good idea,” he said during a recent broadcast of FS1’s “Speak For Yourself.”

Wiley congratulated the players for having the pull to get the league to bow to their social justice demands, but in the end, he feels that “no matter how well intentioned” putting black lives matter on the sidelines will be an act of division and polarization, not unity.

“There’s a problem when you start going down this road,” Wiley said adding that he worries that there won’t be enough “social space for those who don’t support” the social justice message.

“That’s where I wonder where this is going to go,” he said, “in terms of identity politics. We know what identity politics does — it divides, and it polarizes. No matter how you want to look at it, that’s just the effect of it no matter how great the intentions are. We all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

Wiley explained that the Black Lives Matter mission statement is very concerning, especially the movement’s declaration that they want to “dismantle the patriarchal practice,” and “disrupt the western-described nuclear family structure requirement.”

“It’s an interesting play right here. I don’t know how many people really look into the mission statement of Black Lives Matter, but I did. And when you look into it, there’s a couple of things that jump out to me. And I’m a black man who has been black and my life has mattered since 1974. And this organization was founded in 2013 and I’m proud of you but I’ve been fighting this fight for me and for others a lot longer.”

Wiley noted that the integrity of families were “vitally important” to him. “Not only the one I grew up in but the one I am trying to create right now. Being a father and a husband, that’s my mission in life right now. How do I reconcile that with this, the mission statement that says, “We dismantle the patriarchal practice. We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement,” he said.

“When I know statistics, when I know my reality, forget statistics, I knew this before I even went to Columbia and saw these same statistics that I’m going to read to you right now,” he said before going into the numbers.

“Children from single-parent homes versus two-parent homes. The children from the single-parent homes — this was in 1995 I was reading this — five times more likely to commit suicide. Six times more likely to be in poverty. Nine times more likely to drop out of high school. Ten times more likely to abuse chemical substances. Fourteen times more likely to commit rape, 20 times more likely to end up in prison, and 32 times more likely to run away from home.”

Wiley pointed out that too many black men already grow up without a supportive family structure and it harms them terribly.

“So, when I see that as a mission statement for Black Lives Matter, it makes me scratch my head,” he said.

Wiley concluded noting that all this “white supremacy” BLM keeps talking about does not really exist.

“When I also see their mission is to eradicate white supremacy. In 2020, white supremacy is the mission. That’s a lot of digging through minutiae right there. I’m on a show that I’m hosting with another black guy who is hosting with me who replaced another black guy, and that’s just one example of it. So, I understand, I respect your space. I respect what you’re protesting for. But will you respect others who don’t support that same protest?”

These are the divisive issues that the NBA is pushing on fans by supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, Wiley said.
