President Trump Sues Major Newspaper for Libel in ‘Fake News’ Case

Given just how often Trump and this particular paper have sparred over the years, we’re surprised it took this long to get this far.

Published

on

The mainstream media has been having one heck of a time keeping up with the first term of Donald Trump’s presidency, and they’ve certainly been a little lacking in the “fact-checking” department as of late.

Some seem to believe that the left-leaning pockets of the media machine are simply allowing these errors to go unnoticed, just long enough to put such ideas out into the world, to whatever end that accomplishes.  Others believe that this distortion of facts comes from the unsettling and chaotic environment of our political scene in the 21st century.

In either case, President Trump’s legal team isn’t going to let it slide.

President Donald Trump’s campaign sued The New York Times for libel over a March 2019 opinion article, saying the newspaper published its allegedly false claims with the “intentional purpose” of damaging Trump’s chances for reelection this year.

The campaign, which is seeking millions of dollars in damages, said The Times falsely reported “as fact a conspiracy with Russia” in the op-ed written by Max Frankel, which was published on March 27, 2019 under the headline “The Real Trump-Russia Quid Pro Quo.”

Frankel is a former executive editor of the newspaper.

The Times had no immediate comment on the lawsuit, which was filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Reached at his home, Frankel declined to comment.

“No, I’m going to leave that to The Times,” he said.

President Trump and the New York Times have quite a history, having sparred repeatedly over the years.

The paper was even bestowed a Trumpian nickname by the Commander in Chief:  The “Failing” New York Times.

Jim Acosta Gets Scolded by President Trump After ‘Mansplaining’ to Dr. Deborah Birx

Even his fellow CNN reporters were blasting Acosta over the outburst.

Published

on

During times of crisis there are both saviors and vultures.  Modern day is no exception.

As is often the case with tragedies, the mainstream media is tripping over themselves in an attempt to exploit this pandemic for ratings.  They see the sudden influx of casual news watchers as a school of naive fish, and they are going to anchor their boat, sharpen their hooks, and get to pillaging.  They’ll use sensationalism and fear to keep us coming back for more, thus increasing their value to advertisers.

Our mental health and stress are directly correlated to just how much money these media moguls make.

That’s why CNN reporter Jim Acosta is so abrasive – it brings in viewers.  The White House correspondent had a busy week this week, both sparring with President Trump and “mansplaining” something to Dr. Deborah Birx.

“We can talk about why didn’t Italy do something or Spain do something or Germany do something, or we can really say right now — we all can do something,” Dr. Birx explained. “We can do the social distancing and all of the pieces that we know is starting to work around the globe in country after country. And then when we get through all of this, we can ask the questions about could we have done some piece of this better as a global community.”

She then pivoted to the apparent errors the World Health Organization (WHO) made leading up to the outbreak in the U.S. as something that should be examined.

Here’s where Acosta crosses the line, and gets figuratively spanked by President Trump in the process.

“I will remind you that on February 3rd, the head of the WHO said there was no reason to ever do a travel ban,” Dr. Birx continued. “It wasn’t until January 14th that we knew that there was human-to-human transmission,”

Acosta quickly derailed her observations about WHO to knock President Trump.

“Dr. Birx, the president was saying this was going to go away,” Acosta said. “It’s April.”

“It is going to go away,” President Trump fired back. “I said it was going away and it is going away.”

Even some of Acosta’s colleagues at CNN were befuddled by his behavior, with correspondent Jonathan Karl accusing Acosta of playing into the President’s strategy of demonizing the press.

Jim Acosta Gets Ripped by POTUS During White House Virus Briefing

This isn’t the first time that these two have butted heads.

Published

on

During this time of national crisis, Americans the nation over have been coming together, unifying to defeat the threat of COVID-19.

The illness, which originated in Wuhan, China some months ago, has been exponentially sweeping the globe thanks to its ability to spread under the stealth of asymptomatic carriers who may not even know that they’ve come down with anything for fourteen whole days.

Americans are being warned that we have not yet reached the peak of the trouble, and that, if we’re lucky, this cataclysmic crescendo could come just in time for Easter Sunday.

Yet, despite this grim reality and the vast undertaking that will be required to rebuild our great nation’s economy, some are still using the virus to tear down the President.  CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta was chastised by the Commander in Chief this week for just that sort of divisive attitude.

The moment came during a coronavirus briefing at the White House on Monday night.

“Here we go,” Trump said as Acosta read a series of statements that Trump made as the virus spread from China.

Trump defended his statements, noting that he was urging the country to be calm in the face of the threat and to fight it and win to prevent panic. He said that he could easily whip up panic like the media, and make Acosta and CNN “look like a minor league player.”

“Instead of asking a nasty, snarky question like that, you should ask a real question,” Trump said to Acosta.

Acosta and Trump have butted heads plenty of times in the past, with the CNN reporter temporarily losing his White House clearance after he was involved in an altercation with a young, female staffer as she attempted to retrieve a microphone from the unwilling-to-cease newsman.

MSM: Calling Virus ‘Wuhan Virus’ Or ‘Chinese Coronavirus’ Is Racist… But Here’s The MSM Calling It That

The MSM are the biggest hypocrites in the world.

Published

on

A new video from the Media Research Center perfectly illustrates an obvious double-standard used by the MSM deeming it racist to point out the origin of the Wuhan virus if done so by Republicans.

Here are 35 times the MSM called it the ‘Wuhan Coronavirus’ or ‘Chinese Coronavirus:’

Here’s a fun fact for them… The Ebola Virus was named after the Ebola river in the Congo, near where it was first discovered. According to the left, the name of it must be changed. Also, the West Nile virus must be changed. It’s not possible for me to loathe these people anymore. The Democrats are absolutely insane.

MSNBC Star Retires Mid-Show, Stunning Replacement Anchor

The vaunted vitriolic vehicle stunned his replacement with the announcement…LIVE!

Published

on

The mainstream media is a rough place these days, as the blend of entertainment to information is trending heavily toward the former as opposed to the all-important latter.

Turn on the television today and all you’ll see is turbo hyperbole run amok, with anchors blathering on in hypotheticals and party-approved talking points, literally shouting at one another when the discussion slides in their opponents’ favor.

Furthermore, these vaunted vitriol vehicles are under a microscope at all times, with their words being wrung into whatever shape best suits the viewer’s own opinion, no matter how uninformed or uncouth they might be.

Amid this chaos, one of MSNBC’s mainstays has taken a bow, and done so in a shocking, mid-show manner.

MSNBC star Chris Matthews shocked his colleagues and viewers Monday night by announcing that he was stepping down as host of the cable news channel’s primetime staple, “Hardball,” effective immediately.

“Let me start with my headline tonight: I’m retiring. This is the last ‘Hardball’ on MSNBC,” Matthews announced at the top of his show. “And obviously, this isn’t for the lack of interest in politics. As you can tell, I loved every minute of my 20 years as host of ‘Hardball.’ Every morning I read the papers and I’m gung-ho to get to work. Not many people have had this privilege. I loved working with my producers and our discussions we’d have on how we report the news. And I love having this connection with you, the people who watch.”

He continued, “After conversations with NBC, I decided tonight will be my last ‘Hardball.’ So let me tell you why. The younger generations out there are ready to take the reins. We see them in politics, in the media, and fighting for their causes.”

Political correspondent Steve Kornacki helmed the remainder of Hardball, appearing a bit shocked after an extended commercial break followed Matthew’s announcement.

CNN’s Boykin Smears Black Americans Who Support President Trump As “Uncle Toms”

Published

on

CNN’s Keith Boykin: “How the hell do you say you’re making a serious effort to reach black people when you haven’t even gone to a black community, he hasn’t even gone to the black community in Washington, D.C., in New York, in Harlem or in Brooklyn where he lived. He has not made any serious effort to reach black people. The idea that anybody would sit in a room with Donald Trump and call him the first black president after we had Barack Obama as a president shows just what kind of Uncle Toms were sitting in that room.”

Here’s the video of Boykin’s slur:

Now just imagine if a conservative commentator had said this. Would they still have a job?
