Oscars Slammed for Rejecting Graphic Ad of Woman’s Postpartum Bathroom Issues

The Oscars and ABC were slammed by women’s activists for rejecting a graphic ad featuring a new mother dealing with postpartum issues.

Published

The Motion Picture Academy and ABC television were slammed by women’s rights activists for rejecting a graphic ad featuring a new mother dealing with postpartum issues in the bathroom.

Frida Mom, a company that caters to mothers of newborns, reported that the Academy rejected its ad that portrays the challenges a woman faces in the days after childbirth. The ad centers on the physical hurdles of using a toilet and the difficulty of using hygiene products during that time.

“It’s not ‘violent, political’ or sexual in nature. Our ad is not ‘religious or lewd’ and does not portray ‘guns or ammunition,'” the company wrote on its Instagram page. “‘Feminine hygiene & hemorrhoid relief’ are also banned subjects.”

“It’s just a new mom, home with her baby and her new body for the first time. And we wonder why new moms feel unprepared,” the company concluded.

Frida Mom also noted that the Academy said that the ad did not comport with its rules on graphic content. The company said its ad was deemed “too graphic with partial nudity and product demonstration.”

The ad opens with a baby crying and waking a mother in the dead of night. The woman is then seen sitting on the toilet and struggling to deal with mesh surgical briefs, multiple protective pads, sprays, and other hygiene products. The ad, though, does show the woman using these products in explicit terms.
The spot ends with the slogan, “Postpartum recovery doesn’t have to be this hard.”

Actress and talk show host Busy Philipps slammed the Academy for rejecting the ad, saying that it is a problem when society doesn’t even “flinch” over erectile dysfunction ads but would reject an ad about the real-life struggles new mothers experience.

“Partially because this is clearly an ad made by women who have been there and get it and partially because I DO believe so strongly that the more we can NORMALIZE A WOMAN’S BODILY EXPERIENCE IN MEDIA, the better off our culture and society will be,” Philipps wrote on her Instagram account.

Philipps also accused American society of denying the humanity of women.

After praising the Frida Mom ad, Philipps added: “And I’m so f—ing sick of living in a society where the act of simply BEING A WOMAN is rejected by the gatekeepers of media. Well. Shame on them and NOT on us for simply being human women.”

This is an ad for new post partum products for women-this ad was rejected from ABC(see the repost below from the brand) I legit teared up when I just watched it. Partially because this is clearly an ad made by women who have been there and get it and partially because I DO believe so strongly that the more we can NORMALIZE A WOMAN'S BODILY EXPERIENCE IN MEDIA, the better off our culture and society will be. AND YES THAT MEANS ADS TOO. You probably don't even flinch when an Erectile Disfunction ad comes on but THIS AD IS REJECTED?! I think this is an incredible piece of advertising that accurately represents something millions of women know intimately. And I'm so fucking sick of living in a society where the act of simply BEING A WOMAN is rejected by the gatekeepers of media. Well. Shame on them and NOT on us for simply being human women. Cc: #seeher @seeher2020 #Repost ・・・ This is important. “The ad you’re about to watch was rejected by ABC & the Oscars from airing during this year’s award show. Tucker Carlson Highest Rated of ALL Cable, Fox News, Fox Business Network Hit All Time Ratings Highs

Published

on

Tucker Carlson has become the highest rated show in the history of cable news. On top of that, both Fox News and Fox Business Network are reaching all time ratings highs.

“Fox News Channel host ,Tucker Carlson, closed out television’s second quarter with one for the record books,” Forbes magazine wrote of Tucker this week.

Tucker Carlson Tonight finished the quarter as the highest-rated program in all of cable news for the first time since the show’s launch, delivering an average total audience of 4.331 million viewers. In the process, Carlson broke a record held by his colleague, Sean Hannity, for the highest-rated quarter of any cable news program—ever.

It was a solid quarter for the network, which finished in first place across all of cable television for the first time in the network’s history, beating out all basic cable networks among total viewers and viewers 25-54, the demographic group most valued by national advertisers.

And this is directly in the face of a boycott effort organized by the left to destroy Carlson’s advertiser base.

According to Forbes Hannity also broke into the four million range with4.311 million. And The Five nearly did so earning 3.898 million viewers.

Fox News far out earned the competition:

The second quarter was a good one for Fox News—and cable news in general—with viewership up across the board. Fox News finished first with a total audience in prime time of 3.574 million viewers, followed by MSNBC (1.999 million viewers) and CNN (1.806 million). Among viewers 25-54, FNC led with 624,000, followed by CNN (528,000) and MSNBC (315,000).

Fox News “continued its reign as the most-watched network in all of cable across total day and primetime, advancing its winning streak to 25 straight weeks in total day and 23 weeks in a row in primetime among total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.”

Finally, Fox Business Network also proved to be a powerhouse in the cable ratings wars.

“Fox Business Network delivered its highest-rated quarter in network history in Business Day viewership, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network, which has seen double-digit audience growth throughout all key dayparts year-over-year, also scored record program highs for the second quarter of 2020,” Nielsen Media Research reported.

As markets reacted to economic re-openings and global trade tensions, FBN delivered 255,000 total viewers across Business Day, up 62 percent compared to second quarter 2019 and earning the network its highest-rated Business Day quarter ever in total viewers. Additionally, the network’s Total Day viewership saw increases of 44 percent with 171,000 total viewers while Market Hour viewers grew by 59 percent (260,000 total viewers). All dayparts saw double-digit growth across the 25-54 demographic as well.

So, Fox is still doing gangbusters on cable, no doubt about it.

Dixie Chicks Dumping Dixie — Now Just ‘The Chicks’

Jumping on the white guilty, Black Lives Matter bandwagon, the anti-American country pop band Dixie Chicks will be “Dixie” no more.

Published

on

Jumping on the white guilty, Black Lives Matter bandwagon, the anti-American country pop band Dixie Chicks will be “Dixie” no more. Now they are just “The Chicks.”

The Dixie Chicks, which was founded in 1989 by Martie and Emily Erwin, has become ashamed of being from the south, so gone is their name, according to Variety.

Explaining the name change, the group said in a statement that, “We want to meet this moment.”

IN another statement, the group added, “A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to ‘The Chicks’ of NZ for their gracious gesture in allowing us to share their name. We are honored to co-exist together in the world with these exceptionally talented sisters. Chicks Rock! — Emily, Natalie and Martie.”

The change has been made all across the band’s social media, and other sites.

The change comes on the tail of a an editorial at Variety by Jeremy Helligar titled “After Lady Antebellum, Is It Time for the Dixie Chicks to Rethink Their Name?” Helligar insisted that “Dixie,” deriving from the Mason-Dixon line that separated slave-owning and free states, is “a celebration of a Southern tradition that is indivisible from Black slaves and those grand plantations where they were forced to toil for free… For many Black people, it conjures a time and a place of bondage. If a ‘Dixie’-loving Southerner today insists the word merely represents a deep appreciation of their homeland, they’re probably white.”

Oh, the humanities.

This is far from the first time that the band has engaged in anti-American, left-wing, virtue signaling.

Back in 2003 the band raised the hackles of fans and the rest of the country by claiming they hated George W Bush and were ashamed for being from the United States. Worse, they repeatedly made these pronouncements while performing overseas.

The name change will not likely hurt the band any. It is not likely that they have any American fans left, anyway.

Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel Suddenly Announces ‘Vacation’ After Blackface Controversy Erupts

ABC “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel has suddenly announced a “vacation” after Black Lives Matter began complaining about a blackface skit.

Published

on

ABC “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel has suddenly announced a three-month “vacation” after Black Lives Matter activists began complaining about a blackface skit he filmed back around 2002 or so.

In the resurfaced video that ran on his The Man Show, which aired from 1999-2004, Kimmel is seen in full black body makeup as he spoofs Utah Jazz basketball star Karl Malone.

But after people once again began complaining about the blackface skit, Kimmel sudden announced that he is taking a vacation to… er… “spend time with his family.”

In video recorded from his home studio, Kimmel said, “I’m taking this summer off to spend even more time with my family. There’s nothing wrong. I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I just need a couple of months off.”

The TV host added, “While I’m gone, a cavalcade of very kind and capable people will be filling in for me.”

Kimmel isn’t the only late night “comedian” who has a blackface problem.

NBC host Jimmy Fallon also performed in blackface in a skit that aired in the year 2000 on Saturday Night Live.

Fallon recently released an apology statement saying, “There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable.”

Fallon and NBC have succeeded in getting Youtube and other services to delete the Fallon blackface bit from the Internet in an effort to send it down the memory hole.

But here is a snippet of it:

In any case, it appears that Kimmel is suddenly on vacation for three months in the hope that Black Lives Matter’s power to destroy people might have waned by September.

Abhorrent ‘Comedienne’ Kathy Griffin Faked Coronavirus Infection to Attack Trump

Last week so-called comedienne Kathy Griffin took to social media to cry that Trump gave her the coronavirus but now we know she lied.

Published

on

Last week so-called comedienne Kathy Griffin took to social media to cry that Trump gave her the coronavirus and even claimed she is suffering “unbearably painful” symptoms in a hospital. Now we know she lied about it just to score political points.

Last Wednesday, Griffin posted a photo of herself wearing a respirator and lying in a hospital bed. She went on to whine that evil orange man is killing her.

“I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions,” she tweeted.

Clearly Griffin was trying to get sympathy for suffering from coronavirus… though it ended up being more like she is suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome… again.

It turns out that she was not suffering from the coronavirus at all.

The TRUTH is that she had an abdominal infection, not the coronavirus.

HuffPo reported the facts after Griffin’s tweet:

Griffin said she recently returned from a Mexican vacation and experienced intense abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and a cough. She said she was eventually directed to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and placed in its coronavirus isolation ward.

An x-ray revealed her lungs were clear and a scan revealed she had an abdominal infection, Griffin said. A doctor still wanted to administer a test for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, because some of her symptoms fit the illness, according to the comedian. But, she said, the doctor said she couldn’t because of guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

So, once again we see a distempered, lying, Hollywood liberal warping the truth to use as a weapon to beat up Donald Trump.

But this time she got caught.

Disney’s ‘Onward’ Banned in Middle East over Reference to a Lesbian Relationship

Disney’s new animated film, ‘Onward,’ has been banned in several Middle Eastern countries over a lesbian scene.

Published

on

Disney’s new animated film, Onward, has been banned in several Middle Eastern countries due to the film’s reference to a lesbian relationship.

The film features a pair of elfin brothers who go on a road trip in a quest to find magic, but in one scene the heroes meet a character that makes a passing reference to a lesbian relationship between two minor characters, Deadline reported.

In the scene that offended Muslim censors, the lead characters, voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, are speaking to a pair of female police officers, and one of them, voiced by Lena Waithe, casually mentions that her girlfriend’s daughter “got me pulling my hair out.”

The officer, named Specter, has been hailed as Disney’s first openly homosexual animated character.

Indeed, the actress picked to voice the character is herself openly gay.

“It just kind of happened,” the film’s producer, Kori Rae said attempting to belie the idea that the character was planned. “The scene, when we wrote it, was kind of fitting, and it opens up the world a little bit, and that’s what we wanted.”

The scene has brought condemnation from a group of Muslim countries including, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. But not all countries in the region have banned the film. Bahrain, Lebanon, and Egypt, for instance, have agreed to book the film.

Another country, Russia, has agreed to show the film, but only if the word “girlfriend” is overdubbed with the word “partner.”

Onward debuted in the U.S.A. on March5.

Sony Wants Next Spider-Man to be Bisexual and with a Boyfriend

Sony Pictures says it intends to pander to wokness and wants to portray their next Spider-Man as a bisexual superhero with a boyfriend.

Published

on

Sony Pictures says it intends to pander to wokness and wants to portray their next Spider-Man as a bisexual superhero with a boyfriend, according to a report.

Sony wants to break new woke ground with the next Spider-Man by remaking the character in one of the most woke manners possible.

According to the website “We Got This Covered,” Sony Pictures is “is developing a live-action ‘Spider-Verse’ movie” that would “unite Holland with his predecessors, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.”

The report added that the studio “is particularly keen on getting Garfield back, as they want to portray his version of the hero as bisexual and give him a boyfriend in the film.”

Garfield starred as Spider-Man in 2012 and 2014 before Tom Holland signed on to portray the webslinger.

Sony appears to be finally taking Garfield’s advice to float a gay spidey. Garfield made the call as far back as 2013.

“Of course, this is something that Garfield would be very keen to do, as the actor said way back in 2013 that he thinks Spider-Man could be portrayed as gay,” the site reported. “Not to mention it would also gel with where we last saw his character. You’ll recall that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ended with the death of Gwen Stacey. Obviously, Peter Parker usually moves on with Mary Jane Watson. But why not give him a male partner instead?”

Superhero films seem set to be going LGBTQ all over this place with this next wave of comic book films.

Marvel Comics universe chief, Kevin Feige, already noted that he is adding several gay characters in the next wave of Marvel superhero films.

In fact, he told a comic book audience that one of the films now in production will have a transgender character.

I guess we’ll have to see if the phrase “go woke, go broke” applies to comic book movies.
