New Zealand’s Assault Weapons Confiscation Policy is a Crashing Failure

The numbers are in and New Zealand’s strict anti-gun confiscation policy has been a crashing failure.

The leftist-led country of New Zealand enacted just the sort of forced gun confiscation policy that American Democrats want in the U.S.A., but, sorry liberals, New Zealand’s policy has been a crashing failure.

Early this year, New Zealand’s far left Prime Minister pushed through a new law that outlawed so-called “assault rifles” (something that does not in reality exist). The government deadline for the country’s citizens to hand in their firearms passed last Friday. But the number of guns that have been turned in is a pittance compared to the number that government fascists think actually exist in private hands.

The government in Wellington announced that a mere 51,000 of the so-called “assault weapons” were turned in by the legal deadline.

Now, 51,000 may sound like a lot of guns — and it is — but government sources have estimated that there are 170,000 such forearms in private hands. That is only a small slice of the 1.2 million guns total of all kinds in the public sector.

Trending: Mediaite Claims Trump Told ‘Dangerous Lie’ About Northam's Infanticide Comment, But Here’s Video Proof

So, only 30 percent of the expected number of firearms were turned in? Yeah, that amounts to a major government failure and a massive rebellion against government rule.

You have to consider that New Zealand is a very left-wing nation that has no tradition of rights as delineated in the U.S. Constitution, yet still tens of thousands of normally liberal New Zealanders refused to accede to this confiscation of their once legally held firearms.

Now, let’s consider how such a confiscation policy might work… or rather how it would fail… in the U.S.A.

Estimates on how many purported “assault weapons” are in private hands in the U.S. are hard to figure, exactly. But some estimates put the number at upward to 30 million!

Now, while there are tens of thousands of owners of assault weapons in New Zealand there are many millions in the U.S. So, just imagine how badly a confiscation policy will fail in the U.S.!

Many Second Amendment supporters are anxiously watching the Commonwealth of Virginia to see what might happen with confiscation policies in the U.S. now that Democrats are poised to fully take over government in January and are threatening a raft of strict gun laws including confiscation.

Virginia Democrats are pushing a huge slate of strict anti-gun laws for 2020. But the state’s citizens are already responding before the party is even able to act. Fully 90 percent of the state’s counties and cities have declared themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries and have told the state government that they will not enforce any new gun laws.

The showdown is coming.

But Democrats will likely find their anti-gun laws to be just as much a crashing failure as liberal New Zealand’s.

At last, we can only hope.

Lawmakers Spur Massive Ammunition Sales Spike in Virginia

Old Dominion is stocking up.

Earlier this week, the Commonwealth of Virginia showed the nation what it looks like when the First and Second Amendments harmonize in the streets.

A massive Richmond rally to show support for the right to bear arms went off without a hitch just days ago, despite the mainstream media’s constant insinuation that violence could be on the horizon.  Authorities grew even more alarmed after a number of white supremacists were arrested after plotting an alleged terror attack at the event.

Yet We The People gathered peacefully, and used our freedom of speech to demand that Virginia lawmakers adhere to the strictest interpretations of the Second Amendment.

Despite this show of figurative force, it looks unlikely that the Democratically-held statehouse will cede an inch.  That’s why Virginians are stocking up.

WSET reports online ammunition seller notes a 137 percent increase in ammo sales to Virginians now versus this same time last year.

AmmunitionToGo’s Brandon Black said, “We’re now seeing a massive number of Virginia shooters stocking up on ammunition in anticipation of new laws that they believe will make it harder to purchase rounds legally.”

Black noted firearm and ammunition sales are impacted by political change in a way unseen with other retail items. He said, “I doubt that any other businesses are affected as much by politics as firearm and ammunition manufacturers and retailers.”

WSET reports Virginians have purchased enough ammo to take the state from simply being in AmmunitionToGo’s “top 20 markets” to being in the top five.

The citizens of Old Dominion are concerned that the Democratic mandate will allow the legislature to pass several bills that would infringe upon their Second Amendment rights, including a licensing process for “assault” rifle owners.

Hollywood Actor Smears Richmond 2A Demonstrators as Having ‘Klan Smell’

While the rest of America crosses their fingers and prays for peace, Hollywood is poking the bear.

The capitol of the Commonwealth of Virginia is powder keg today, and the often-radical online voices that we often see online are doing their damndest to stoke the fear from afar.

Second Amendment Advocates are demonstrating against the Democratic leadership of Virginia’s statehouse on Monday after a series of proposed and enacted gun laws seemingly threaten to infringe upon the almighty Second Amendment.  The protests have been planned for months, and this has allowed the fervor to be stoked online by meme-makers and internet organizers.

Many fear that today’s events could turn violent, and are calling for cooler heads to prevail.

In Hollywood, however, they’re poking the bear.

James Bond movie star and Dell Technologies pitchman Jeffrey Wright asserted, without evidence, that Monday’s pro-Second Amendment gathering in Richmond, Virginia, “has a Klan-rally smell to it.”

“The organizers aren’t at all bothered that a gun circle jerk in Richmond, VA on #MLKDay has a Klan-rally smell to it? Wonder why,” Wright said in a tweet that included a link to a Washington Post article, titled “Richmond braces for enormous gun-rights rally Monday.”

A militia group demonstration in Richmond today issued warnings that violence could occur, should any radical forces be left to their druthers.

Militia Leaders Visiting Virginia Capitol Issue Warning Over Possible Violence

Meanwhile, the rest of the nation nervously looks on.

Lobbying Day is well underway at the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond, and throngs of demonstrators and counter protestors are on site and intermingling.

Given the recent history of Virginia’s political violence, all eyes are on Old Dominion today, as the remainder of the nation nervously watches on.  We The People seem united in the belief that violence serves no purpose here, but that this show of political force is what’s important.  The powers that be are the target of our ire; not our fellow Americans.

Still, with so much tension on the ground and animosity online, one of the militia groups demonstrating in Richmond has issued a warning to those who might attend.

High-profile national militia figures gathered for a meeting on Sunday near Richmond said they wanted Monday’s event to be peaceful, but feared the worst, with most saying any “lone wolf” could unleash bitter fighting with a single shot.

“The buildup is probably one of the most intense I’ve seen,” said Tammy Lee, a right-wing Internet personality from Oklahoma, who was a figurehead in Charlottesville.

Christian Yingling, head of the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia and a leader at the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally, said none of his men would carry long guns and they wanted to avoid skirmishes, but forecast they would come.

“With somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 people possibly coming out, this thing has enormous potential to go bad,” he said.

Charlottesville, Virginia, just over an hour away by car, was the site of horrific violence in 2017 as white supremacist groups clashed with left wing protesters in a racially charged fracas over Confederate statues still standing in the state.

One woman was left dead in Charlottesville after an agitated demonstrator rammed his car into a crowd.

NBC ‘Reporter’ Pushes Lie that Virginia Gun Rally is Really a ‘White Supremacist’ Event

A reporter for NBC was ripped to pieces after Tweeting the lie that next week’s gun rally in VA is in reality a “white supremacist” event.

A reporter for NBC was ripped to pieces after Tweeting the lie that next week’s Second Amendment rally in Virginia is in reality a “white supremacist” event.

Fake News NBC “reporter” Ben Collins, who tries to hide his tweets by using an obscure name (oneunderscore_) instead of Tweeting under his actual name, jumped to Twitter on Sunday to accuse supporters of the Second Amendment of being “white supremacist” terrorists.

Collins posted a long list of lies about how all the 2A rally goers are actually Nazis, racists, and white supremacists in disguise as supporters of the U.S. Constitution.

“Reporters covering tomorrow’s white nationalist rally in Virginia, I’m absolutely begging you: Verify information before you send it out tomorrow, even if it’s a very sensational rumor you heard from a cop,” Collins tweeted. “Don’t become a hero in neo-Nazi propaganda circles with made-up stuff.”

Collins was immediately called on the carpet for his lies. And according to Fox News he tried to defend himself with even more lies.

Defending his post from a torrent of criticism, Collins initially argued that federal law enforcement had arrested six suspected Neo-Nazis in advance of the rally in states including Georgia, Maryland and Delaware, with some of the suspects apparently intending to travel to the Richmond rally.

Collins also remarked that there has been an “enormous amount of 4chan and Qanon chatter,” appropriating intelligence-community lingo to describe online communications from conspiracy groups and troll websites.

But after a few hours of being attacked by people ripping him for his lies, Collins deleted the Tweets.

“Hi everybody!” the liar tweeted. “I’m deleting a tweet so I can be super clear about tomorrow’s rally in Virginia. The Lobby Day protest is and has traditionally been a gun rights rally, but white nationalists, including militant group The Base, have been planning violent action at the event.”

Gun rights activist Cam Edwards noted that the rally is far from a “white supremacist” rally but is actually a long-standing Virginia event.

“Speaking of propaganda and made-up stuff, Lobby Day isn’t a ‘white nationalist rally,’ but an annual event for Virginians to lobby lawmakers,” Edwards said. “Is this the type of coverage we should expect from NBC News?”

Ben Collins has a long, long history of psychotic, conspiracy ramblings.

Collins previously had charged that “white radicalization is a public health crisis,” arguing that “the president and his coterie pretty overtly sympathize with some white nationalist ideals and leaders.”

And last year, Collins claimed to unearth the right-wing conspiracy underlying the “learn to code” meme, in which internet users mocked journalists by implying they should obtain more meaningful jobs if they want job security.

NBC has not responded to questions as to why it employs such a liar and conspiracy nut.

Gun Rights Activists Sue Virginia Gov. Northam for Banning Guns on Capitol Grounds

A liberal court upheld the black-face-wearing Virginia Governor’s ban on carrying firearms on the state capitol grounds.

A liberal court upheld the black-face-wearing Virginia Governor’s ban on carrying firearms on the state capitol grounds on Thursday ahead of mass pro-Second Amendment rallies scheduled for next week.

Gov. Ralph “Black-Face” Northam announced a ban on concealed and open carry on the capitol grounds this week as he prepared to oppose the rallies planned by supporters of the Second Amendment. He also exclaimed that gun owners had forced a “state of emergency” on Virginia.

The lawsuit was filed challenging Northam’s temporary executive order banning the guns for the rallies.

But a leftist judge in Richmond upheld the abortion-pushing gov’s order.

Per WAVY Channel 10:

The plaintiffs in the suit, the Virginia Citizen’s Defense League, who did threaten legal action before Northam made his announcement Wednesday, Gun Owners of America, Erich Pratt, John Velleco and Kenneth Van Wyk, were asking for an immediate hold on the governor’s ban.

The lawsuit insisted that the gov. had no right to summarily cancel the Second Amendment rights of Virginians.

Northam’s fellow Constitution-hating Democrats praised the gov’s move.

State Attorney Mark Herring, for instance, said the state is under “credible threats” due to the coming rallies.

We have seen before in the Commonwealth that large, heavily armed crowds in a confined space can create an extremely dangerous situation and I want to commend Governor Northam for taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of Virginians,” said Attorney General Herring. “There have been multiple, credible threats of violence and individuals from across the country have expressed their intent to descend on our Capitol, including three white nationalists who were arrested earlier today by the FBI. I am pleased that the injunction has been denied. My top priority as attorney general has always been to protect all Virginians. So to those who would come here intending to incite violence I simply say stay home. Don’t come to Virginia. Don’t come to Richmond.

I am sure that the Democrats would love for everyone to stop protesting the cancellation of their rights and just meekly do whatever Democrats tell them to do.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League and the Gun Owners of America issued a statement on the decision:

Yesterday, January 15, Governor Northam declared a temporary state of emergency and banned the carrying & possession of weapons on Capitol Square in Richmond from 5:00 pm Friday, January 17 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21.

Today, the legal teams of both VCDL and Gun Owners of America (GOA) sought an injunction against enforcement of Northam’s Executive Order No. 49 (EO-49). Unfortunately, the Circuit Court denied our request for an injunction.

Both VCDL and GOA believe the court erred in its decision and our legal team immediately filed an Emergency Petition for Review with the Virginia Supreme Court.

Virginia Democrats Compare Gun Rights Activists to White Supremacist Terrorists

If you are a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, Virginia Democrats want you to know that you are just like the white supremacist terrorists.

If you are a supporter of the Second Amendment, Virginia Democrats want you to know that you are just like the white supremacist terrorists who attacked Charlottesville back in 2017.

The state’s blackface-wearing governor and his left-wing Democrat Party pals declared a “state of emergency” as Second Amendment rights activists begin looking at holding rallies in the state to raise interest in opposing the Democrat’s new virulently anti-gun laws.

Gov. Ralph Northam said at a Wednesday press conference that Virginia Democrats believe “armed militia groups plan to storm the Capitol” during the January 20 rally.

As Vice reported: “He also said that law enforcement had intercepted threats and ‘extremist rhetoric” similar to what was observed prior to the violent Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in August 2017. ‘We will not allow that mayhem and violence to happen here,’ he said. ”

The Democrats also moved to ban citizens from carrying firearms on the Capitol grounds.

“No weapons will be allowed on Capitol grounds,” said Northam. “Everything from sticks and bats to chains and projectiles…. The list also includes firearms. It makes no sense to ban every other weapon but allow firearms when intelligence shows that armed militia groups plan to storm the Capitol.”

But despite the ban, some who are set to attend the pro-Second Amendment rally said they intend to carry anyway.

The January 20 event, dubbed “Lobby Day,” was organized by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, a pro-Second Amendment nonprofit, in response to new gun control legislation introduced by the Democratic state Legislature. Northam acknowledged that the organizers had been planning the rally for some time. “I believe them when they say this is a peaceful event — that’s what democracy is,” said Northam. “Unfortunately, they have unleashed something much larger, something they may not be able to control.”

Upwards of 5,000 people said on the Facebook page that they plan to attend. Event organizers have warned the state that as many as 100,000 could show up.

Organizers of the rally say that they anticipate up to 60 buses filled with pro-2A supporters to attend.

Northam also warned that he intended to call out a large contingent of police officers in riot gear to oppose the gun rights activists.

So, the message is clear. If you are a supporter of the Constitution, you are a terrorist as far as Virginia Democrats are concerned.

Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe are rolling over in their graves.

Virginia Governor to Announce New Ban on Firearms Wednesday Afternoon

Will next week’s Second Amendment rally be a flashpoint in Virginia’s ongoing political upheaval?

In the Commonwealth of Virginia, a storm is brewing, and it has the potential to turn catastrophic.

For months on end there have been concerns about the fate of the Second Amendment in Old Dominion, after Democratic lawmakers took control of the state houses and the governor’s mansion.  Fueling the worry, a massive social media campaign by pro-2A forces have characterized the coming struggle as one that could very well break out in violence, particularly as Virginia legislators have trouble denying that there could be door-to-door firearm confiscations on the horizon.

Today, a new layer of controversy has erupted after Governor Ralph Northam again moved to infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of Virginians.

Fearing a repeat of the deadly violence that engulfed Charlottesville more than two years ago, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam plans to declare a temporary emergency Wednesday banning all weapons, including guns, from Capitol Square ahead of a massive rally planned next week over gun rights.

That’s according to two state officials who were briefed on the plans but not authorized to speak publicly about them. The governor, a Democrat, plans to announce the plans at a news conference Wednesday afternoon because of credible threats of potential violence and extremism, one official said.

Northam’s planned announcement comes days after Democratic leaders used a special rules committee to ban guns inside the Capitol and a legislative office building. That ban did not include Capitol grounds, which are under the governor’s control and are where a huge number of gun-rights advocates are expected to rally Monday.

One official said Northam decided to ban all guns from the grounds of Capitol Square after receiving reports for weeks about inflammatory online postings by out-of-state pro-gun and militia groups who are promising to attend Monday’s rally.

We can only hope and pray that this rally does not become a flash point for political violence in an already turbulent United States.
