National Guard Activated To Protect DC Monuments

National Guard Activated To Protect DC Monuments

The DC National Guard will provide unarmed guard members to assist with additional security for monuments in Washington, DC, the National Guard Bureau said today.

A defense official says Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy signed the memo authorizing the activation of the DC National Guard forces after the National Park Police made a request for the assistance.

The official strongly emphasized that no Guard forces have yet been sent onto the streets and so far have all stayed inside their barracks. There are currently about 100 troops in the immediate Washington, DC, area. The activation could grow to 400 in total to rotate troops if needed. The Pentagon expects the guard forces to be used as a stopgap measure until the Justice Department can muster additional federal law enforcement pesonnel to take over the mission, the defense official said. Nonetheless it is expected the guard units will remain in the DC area through July 4th.

TDW:

The National Guard will soon send unarmed personnel to monuments and memorials around Washington, D.C., to help U.S. Park Police protect them.

President Trump and officials in the administration have blasted protesters for attacking national monuments and said law enforcement officials do not have enough resources to protect monuments during the protests that followed the death of George Floyd, who perished while in the custody of Minneapolis police.

That will soon change.

“The District of Columbia National Guard is responding to a request to support law enforcement officials and has dispatched unarmed personnel, with others on stand-by,” National Guard spokesman Maj. Robert Perino said in a statement to CNN. “Activated Guardsmen are expected to provide security for local monuments and critical infrastructure.”

Guard members are set to stay deployed through July 4 and their number may top 400, according to CNN. More

Unarmed is a mistake and it puts them in harm’s way. I do believe that our national treasures need to be protected but so do our law enforcement and National Guard. What is happening in America is not a form of “freedom of speech” but straight forward acts of hate crimes. Proud Americans like myself are saddened at what is happening around our country.

Watch Giuliani Read Text Message From Hunter To Joe Biden Talking About FaceTiming 14-Year-Old Girl Naked While Smoking Crack

Rudy Giuliani: Well, here is a very, very sensitive one. It’s a text message to his father in which he says the following. In which he says the following, and he’s discussing his sister-in-law who for quite some time was his lover. And he says, “She told my therapist I was sexually inappropriate.” This would be with an unnamed 14-year-old girl. When she says I face-timed naked with the unnamed 14-year-old girl. And the reason she can’t have her out to see me is because I walk around naked smoking crack talking Tom Girls(?) on Face time. When she was pressed she said the unnamed 14-year-old-girl never said anything like that but the bottom line is that I created and caused a very unsafe environment for the kids.

Just think. If Rudy didn’t break this story, Christopher Wray would still be sitting on it.

Here's The ‘Beautiful Moment The Mainstream Media Won’t Report On’ (Video)

Conservative Candace Owens shared a moving video to Twitter featuring more than 2,000 black and Hispanic demonstrators singing the national anthem during a Saturday Blexit demonstration in Washington, D.C. At the time of this reporting, her video has been viewed more than 456,000 times.

“Black Lives Matter protests end with rioting, looting, and the destruction of minority communities. BLEXIT protests end with 2,000+ black and Latino Americans singing the national anthem. This is a beautiful moment that the mainstream media won’t report on. I’m so proud”

As highlighted by the Daily Wire, an estimated 2,000-plus Blexit — “black exit,” a movement Owens created in 2018 to encourage black Americans to leave the Democratic Party — demonstrators marched over the weekend.

Candace Owens’ video captures the moment that the demonstration concludes with a moving “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Lakers Celebrations Turn Violent: Fans Fiercely Target Police... 75+ People Arrested

Chaos erupted when Lakers fans clashed with police on Sunday after thousands gathered outside the Staples Center to celebrate the team’s championship win. The fans threw rocks and bottles at LAPD.

“The mob started as a few intoxicated and rowdy Lakers fans began throwing beer bottles and other ‘projectiles’ at uniformed police officers that swarmed the arena,” Bleacher Report noted. “The few isolated incidents soon grew to a large mob of sports fans which soon made their way down the streets of Los Angeles turning over police cars and breaking into local businesses. Some innocent bystanders became injured in the incident as the horde came rushing down the streets.”

TDW:

On Sunday night, after LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title, thousands of fans of the team celebrated outside the Los Angeles Staples Center, but things turned ugly when some members of the crowd targeted police, hurling rocks and bottles at them.

Despite the coronavirus restrictions placed on public activity in California and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti urging fans to stay home and avoid congregating, fans ignored the warnings and gathered en masse.

“LAPD went into tactical alert and declared the gathering an unlawful assembly,” KABC reported. “Cars were seen performing ‘donuts’ and ‘burnouts,’ some cars were swarmed by fans in the streets. Multiple fireworks were set off and there were isolated reports of small groups throwing rocks and bottles at police.”

On Friday, Garcetti stated that fans should not jeopardize “all the progress we have made in our fight against COVID-19 isn’t reversed from one night of celebration. I encourage you to yell at the top of your lungs inside your homes, maybe even open up the window or step outside your door as we’ve done for our first responders and essential medical workers to thank them. Let’s thank the Lakers when they win, but let’s do it safe,” The Daily Mail noted. More

At least 75 people were arrested after celebrations over the Los Angeles Lakers 17th title turned violent Sunday night in downtown L.A., with revelers vandalizing businesses in the area.
