Lindsey Graham On SCOTUS Pick: We Have The Votes

Published

on

Lindsey Graham says President Trump ‘has the votes’ to confirm his Supreme Court nominee: “We’ve got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg’s replacement before the election. We’re going to move forward in the committee, we’re going to report the nomination out of the committee to the floor of the United States Senate so we can vote before the election. Now, that’s the constitutional process.”

Fox News:

Senate Republicans have enough votes to confirm a replacement for late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the Nov. 3 election, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told “Hannity” Monday.

“It’s pretty obvious that if they [Democrats] want an outcome, they’ll just destroy anybody’s life to keep the seats open,” Graham told host Sean Hannity.

“They said they tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh so they could fill the seat — they were dumb enough to say that,” Graham added. “I’ve seen this movie before. It’s not going to work, it didn’t work with Kavanaugh.

Protesters gathered outside Graham’s Washington D.C. home Monday morning after he pledged to move the nomination process along in the Senate. More

Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense were confirmed very quickly at the beginning of the President’s term. There is no need for a lengthy theater in this case either. Don’t give Democrats any free coverage. Anyone on Trump’s list is fine, that’s already known. Just vote to confirm.

Republican Convention TV Ratings Grew for First and Second Nights

On Tuesday, it looked like the GOP convention was going to blow the doors off the ratings for the previous week’s Democrat meeting. Now the numbers are in.

On Tuesday, it looked like the GOP convention was going to blow the doors off the ratings for the previous week’s Democrat meeting. Now the numbers are in and the GOP event grew its audience for both nights.

Initial numbers were interesting. According to political cable network CSPAN, the 2020 RNC event drew 4440,000 viewers compared to the measly 46,000 who tuned in last week to see the Democrat convention’s opening day.

Remember, too, the Democrats went for broke on their first day by scheduling supposed star Michelle Obama to give one of the Democrats’ opening day speeches.

But it turns out more people tuned in to watch former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley speak that they did so to see Michelle, at least on CSPAN.

So, with that preliminary result in mind, we had but to wait for the full numbers to come in on Wednesday.

According to Breitbart News, the RNC got a viewer boost for both its first two nights.

“The second night of the Republican convention drew in an estimated 18 million viewers across major networks, up from the roughly 17 million garnered on Monday,” BN reported.

Nielsen ratings showed some big numbers.

“Fox News dominated in viewership, with nearly eight million viewers tuning in between 10:00 p.m. and 11:15. Fox News is “followed by NBC (2.5 million), CNN (2.12 million), ABC (2.09 million), MSNBC (1.9 million) and CBS (1.5 million),” Breitbart added.

It turns out the Democrats averaged 19.7 million for its first night. But that number tumbled to only 6.3 million for its second night on the big three networks. It was a 48 percent drop in viewers from the second night in 2016.

Meanwhile, it appears that it was Donald Trump, not Joe Biden, who got the traditional “convention poll bump” during the Democrat convention.

Donald Trump’s poll numbers went up during the Democrat convention. Usually the party having the convention is the party that gets the poll bump. Not this time.

Historically, every presidential candidate who can’t even get a poll bump during his own convention goes on to lose the election. Neither Democrat candidate George McGovern nor John Kerry got a poll bump during the conventions where they were nominated to run for president. Both lost in a landslide.

Traitor Mitt Romney is Now More Popular with Democrats than Republicans

Carpetbagging traitor Mitt Romney has been hit with new polls finding he is more popular with Democrats than Republicans.

Carpetbagging traitor Mitt Romney parades around as Utah’s “Republican” Senator, but new polls find he is more popular with Democrats than Republicans.

Romney has made a fool of himself with fake stances of “principle” against Trump which are really more like knee-jerk anti-Trumpism than it is principle.

Indeed, Romney has often made himself the lone anti-Trump voice on issues no other Republicans oppose. His odd proclamations have confused every Republican and it has now gone on so long that few Republican voters even think he IS a Republican.

The sad story is told in a recent Gallup poll.

Romney’s favorable numbers have not just fallen a bit, they have crashed an amazing 61 points. In November of 2012 when he was attempting to run for president against Barack Obama, Republicans viewed him at 84 percent favorably. Today his rating has crashed to a tiny 23 percent.

That really is a massive crash.

Meanwhile, Gallup found that Democrats are starting to fall in love with this traitor. In 2012 only 24 percent of Democrats had a favorable view of Romney. Today, 56 percent like him.

Romney is viewed more favorably by Democrats than he is by Republicans by 33 percent!

Romney’s foolish blathering during impeachment also hurt him.

Favorability for Congressional Republicans today stands at 40 percent and support for Democrats are at 35 percent. And yet, Romney’s approval is way down at 24 percent.

Let’s hope that this crash in approval is the first step to ridding our government of Mitt Romney and the final step in ridding him from politics altogether.
