James Comey’s behavior at FBI was ‘horrifying’ according to former CIA officer

Published

on

When this “RussiaGate” saga is all said and done, (for the fourth time), perhaps no character will earn a reputation more vermin-like than James Comey.

The former FBI Chief seemed to be front-and-center during every embarrassing moment that the FBI had during the run-up to the 2016 election and beyond, into the first term of President Trump.  His refusal to press charges against Hillary Clinton, despite the ample evidence of her lawlessness in regard to a secret email server in the State Department, was unfathomable at the time.  The maneuver was so dirty and corrupt that it likely hampered Clinton’s chances in the election itself, as her “deep state” reputation was now fully cemented.

Then there were the leaks, perpetrated by Comey himself, for which the now-disgraced former Bureau head will not be charged.

The situation has one former CIA officer livid.

Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright said Friday that James Comey needs to be taken to task for his handling of the President Trump investigation.

“We had an individual that the inspector general report has now said an FBI director [James Comey] leaked information to force a public action; that is, the appointment of a special counsel,” Wright, a Democrat, told “Fox & Friends.”

“Not because the facts demanded it,” Wright continued. “But because he and his own partisan drive desired it. Now that’s horrifying. Not only was that horrifying for Donald Trump (but for) any other president that could’ve been elected in 2016.”

Furthermore, Wright lamented the seeming impossibility of Comey to be hard accountable for his actions.

Wright said that he “fears” for the U.S. because of the “precedent” that someone can break the law and face no consequences for it.

“What’s the consequence for their behavior? There is none; they get a book deal,” Wright said.

Comey even had the audacity to insinuate in a tweet yesterday that he is due an apology over the matter.

Timing of Joe Biden’s 2014 Ukraine Trip Renews Concerns Over Corruption and Nepotism

The mainstream media can shout “debunked conspiracy theory” until they’re blue in the face, but it won’t change the facts of the situation.

Published

on

There is a very distinct reason why the House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff doesn’t want to preside over a deep dig into the matter of the Bidens’ business in Ukraine; namely, that the disclosure of the facts in the case would completely eviscerate the Democrats’ impeachment narrative.

As of right now, the Democratic angle on impeachment is that President Trump’s insistence on investigating corruption within Ukraine was somehow inappropriate or uncouth, and based on the Commander in Chief’s desire to drum up damaging dirt on Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election.

For this narrative to be effective, Joe Biden will need to come out of this investigation unscathed and squeaky clean.  Otherwise, the President’s concerns would then be completed warranted, thus eradicating the plausible deniability the the Democrats are hiding behind.

That’s why Adam Schiff has attempted to forbid the GOP from calling Hunter Biden, son of Joe, as a witness in the UkraineGate impeachment inquiry.

In the mainstream media, the canned line about the Joe-Hunter-Ukraine connection being a “debunked conspiracy theory” is just that:  A canned line.  A soundbite meant to detract from the President’s defense.

But here are the facts:

Nepotism?  Check.

Continued use of hard drugs?  Check.

Then, just a month after this meeting…

As we can clearly see, the “debunked conspiracy theory” regarding Hunter Biden riding nepotism into his cushy Burisma gig is anything but debunked, regardless of the mainstream media’s incessant repetition of that talking point.

Furthermore, it would be highly detrimental to the Democrats for this information to become widespread, as it then vindicates the President’s concerns over American political involvement in Ukrainian corruption.

Republicans Sink Their Claws into Impeachment with Plans to Subpoena Hunter Biden

Adam Schiff’s ‘make it up as you go along’ rules could put a kibosh on these plans, however.

Published

on

For much of its infancy, the impeachment of Donald Trump was something that the Republican Party was just not that into, and understandably.  From their prospective, and the perspective of a great deal of the American people, this entire ruse was nothing more than an attempt to reverse the 2016 election simply because the Democrats lost.

Even some of the nation’s most senior leaders are calling shenanigans on the entire process, with Senator Lindsey Graham even going so far as to call it “BS”, and admit that he’s just written the whole thing off as a stunt.

But other Republicans are seeing an opportunity in impeachment – one that would allow them to bring to light the controversy that got this ball rolling in the first place:  Whether or not Vice President Joe Biden’s position in the White House led to his son Hunter’s sweetheart business deals in Ukraine.

House Republicans plan to call Hunter Biden, the Ukraine whistleblower and a range of other witnesses to testify in the upcoming public Trump impeachment hearings, according to a witness list obtained exclusively by Fox News.

It is unclear, at this point, how many of the Republicans’ proposed witnesses will be approved by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and the Democrats, because the newly-approved resolution governing the impeachment inquiry give the approval power to the chairman and the members of the majority.

And that’s not all:

Republicans also plan to call the younger Biden’s former long-time business partner, Devon Archer, who also sat on the board of Burisma. Republicans claim Archer can help the public to understand “the nature and extent of Ukraine’s pervasive corruption information that bears directly on President Trump’s longstanding and deeply-held skepticism of the country.”

Fox News has also learned that Republicans plan to call the whistleblower—whose identity remains anonymous—to testify publicly as part of the inquiry. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said in September the whistleblower would appear before Congress “very soon,” but in recent weeks has suggested that testimony is unnecessary.

Schiff has also installed rules regarding the witnesses to be brought forth in the case, releasing a number of questions that those on the stand would need to have reasonable knowledge of before being allowed to appear.  These questions have limited the scope of the witnesses to essentially just the July 25th phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky – something that Hunter Biden may not have.

Non-Doctor Anthony Scaramucci Comments on President’s Mental Health

We, again, have an anti-Trump voice pretending to diagnose the President on cable television.

Published

on

As we move ever closer to Donald Trump’s inevitable reelection, the attacks being leveled at him by his political opponents have grown ever more bizarre.

For instance, the left is currently embroiled in an impeachment process that is certain to fail in the Senate.  Their hope is not to actually removed the President from office, since they simply don’t have the votes for it, but instead to conjure up enough negative news coverage regarding Donald Trump to put a dent in his 2020 plans.  This abuse of the process will likely go down in history as one of the most egregious acts of partisan politicking of the modern day.

Outside the walls of the Capitol, however, the insults and insinuations don’t end with impeachment.  Increasingly, we find anti-Trump voices turning to speculative hyperbole to cast doubt on The Donald.

Such is the case with former White House staffer Anthony Scaramucci.

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci discussed a new book by an anonymous administration official that is critical of President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Scaramucci said, “Some of it is hyperbolic, but some of it is also prima facie. Go to the president clippings today on the South Lawn. It’s not stable. It’s not normal. It’s not even inside of a bell curve of what people would describe as real mental health. He’s having a hard time putting sentences together. He’s repeating himself. He’s lost a lot of the sharpness he had in ’15 and ’16.”

For the record, Anthony Scaramucci is neither a psychiatrist nor a psychologist.

The former Trump insider would go on to label the President’s behavior as “incompetent” as well, making certain that there was no doubt about where he stands on the subject.

Adam Schiff Readjusts Impeachment Rules Regarding GOP Witnesses

Talk about shady.

Published

on

The American people are growing restless, straining to bear yet another week of this political catastrophe occurring within the clandestine corners of Capitol Hill.

We have derelict Democrats elected and sent to Washington whom we trusted to do right by us.  We are, after all, their masters.  These are public servants, not the ruling class they appear to emulate on any given day.

We wanted healthcare reform.  We wanted our immigration rules enforced.  We wanted to rest assured that our Second Amendment rights would remain intact.

Most of all, we just wanted to have some semblance of normalcy on Capitol Hill.  Instead, what we have received are months of stagnation thanks to a “formal impeachment inquiry” that is doomed to fail in the Senate anyway.

What’s worse; the Democrats are using the entire process as a 24/7 anti-Trump campaign advertisement being played out on CNN and beyond.

And, just to make sure that this marketing stunt stays on-brand, House Intel Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is changing the rules…again.

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) issued a set of restrictions on Thursday morning limiting Republicans to calling witnesses that can respond to three questions, all of which reflect Democrats’ views.

The questions, detailed in a letter Wednesday from Schiff to ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) are:

  1. Did the President request that a foreign leader and government initiate investigations to benefit the President’s personal political interests in the United States, including an investigation related to the President’s political rival and potential opponent in the 2020 U.S. presidential election?

  2. Did the President — directly or through agents — seek to use the power of the Office of the President and other instruments of the federal government in other ways to apply pressure on the head of state and government of Ukraine to advance the President’s personal political interests, including by leveraging an Oval Office meeting desired by the President of Ukraine or by withholding U.S. military assistance to Ukraine?

  3. Did the President and his Administration seek to obstruct, suppress, or cover up information to conceal from the Congress and the American people evidence about the President’s actions and conduct?

This move is no doubt in response to the possibility of having either Joe Biden or Hunter Biden called to testify by the Republican party during the process – a move that would have allowed House GOP members to grill the former Vice President and his son regarding their alleged corruption in Ukraine.

Jim Jordan Says Whistleblower Will Be Served Subpoena in Impeachment Fiasco

The Republicans won’t be taking this one lying down.

Published

on

The impeachment proceedings currently embroiling our nation’s capital will soon be exposed as a bit of a double-edged sword for the Democrats, and the GOP is making no attempt to hide that fact.

The shenanigans themselves began with an anonymous whistleblower who made an official complaint regarding President Trump’s behavior on a July 25th phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.  The substance of concern was in regard to the alleged holdup of US aid to the tiny European nation, believed by the whistleblower to be directly related to the announcement of an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings.

Of course, it must be noted that this whistleblower’s information came to them second and third-hand, and, as such, has about all the validity of a well-worn ghost story.

But herein lies the beauty of impeachment:  The Republicans will be able to bring all of this nonsense to light in the coming weeks.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said Thursday Republican lawmakers plan to subpoena the so-called “whistleblower” to testify publicly as part of the House Democrats’ partisan impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump, according to The Hill.

Jordan’s remarks come as lawmakers on Capitol Hill are battling over whether to identify the so-called “whistleblower,” […]. Democrats claim the so-called “whistleblower” is no longer a key witness to their impeachment inquiry and must not be named due to the Whistleblower Protection Act. However, some Republicans, including Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) have dismissed those concerns and are mulling revealing the individual’s name.

“I’m more than willing to, and I probably will at some point,” Paul told reporters on Tuesday. “There is no law preventing anybody from saying the name.”

Previous to Jordan’s comments, the anonymous whistleblower offered to submit testimony to Congress via writing – a possibility that was quickly dismissed by House Republicans who are demanding something more conducive to a proper investigation.

GOP Mulls Idea of Calling Hunter and Joe Biden to Testify in Impeachment Probe

Justice is often portrayed as a scale, but it is sometimes better represented as a pendulum.

Published

on

Impeachment is a double-edged sword, it seems, as the Democrats are about to find themselves moving swiftly to avoid the back edge of their own blade.

They believed that they had sprung a trap of great complexity, where they would get to eviscerate the White House live, in public for all to see.  The coming public impeachment hearings would be a spectacle to behold, at least in the minds of the Democrats, who likely had fantasies of their big, scripted moment being played ad nauseam for a night on CNN.

This fantasy could come crashing down soon, however, under the weight of the Senate’s impeachment trial, where lawmakers from both sides will have their chance to call witnesses.

House Democrats passed a partisan impeachment inquiry resolution last week aimed to outline the procedures in their inquiry moving forward – an inquiry that was never officially authorized by a full House vote. While House Democrats are moving forward with the inquiry under what Republicans say is the guise of transparency, Senate Republicans are quietly preparing for the possibility of a trial in the Senate and weighing if they should call the Bidens as witnesses, if it comes to that point.

Per the Washington Post:

Among a group of Trump’s allies inside and outside Congress, there is intense and growing interest in countering the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry with their own scrutiny of Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings in Ukraine and China. Because his father was vice president at the time, these allies believe it could be a way of explaining why Trump pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July 25 phone call to “look into” the Bidens, who have denied any wrongdoing.

This could allow for Republicans to examine Biden in a public setting, drawing more attention to he and his son’s business dealings in the Ukraine – a matter at the heart of this impeachment inquiry.

Nationals Player Says He Didn’t Snub Trump At White House; Here’s The Proof

No, Stephen Strasburg didn’t snub President Donald Trump during a visit to the White House.

The video was deceptively trimmed by Rudy Gersten and called “fake news” by Stephen Strasburg on Twitter.

TDW:

On Monday, Washington Nationals player Stephen Strasburg used his Twitter account for the first time in 18 months to tweet those iconic words: “Fake News!”

Strasburg was reacting to a short video clip posted by Rudy Gersten, who is often published in The Washington Post’s D.C. Sports Blog. The clip shows the World Series MVP turning away from President Donald Trump’s outstretched hand.

“Strasburg left Trump hanging,” Gersten captioned the clip, adding a cry-laughing emoji.

“#FakeNews!” Strasburg quote-tweeted the post three hours later:

A longer clip of the interaction shows Strasburg coming back to embrace Trump after turning away the first time. More

Another incident of fake news. Gotta love how the media creates the news instead of reporting it. Why do they all want to be like National Enquirer? The news media in the US is a complete joke.
