House Rep. Liz Cheney Jumps on China Reparations Bandwagon with Fiery Statement

The Wyoming Republican would go on to say that not holding Chine culpable for their part in the disaster would be akin to governmental malpractice.

China lied, people died.

That’s the operating assumption of a great many US lawmakers who have considered China’s international response to the coronavirus pandemic to be nefariously negligent.

You can now count House Rep. Liz Cheney among them.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said China deliberately exported the novel coronavirus to avoid being the only country facing economic devastation via viral epidemic. She offered her remarks on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily in an interview with host Alex Marlow.

“There is a preponderance of opinion that this pandemic — this virus — originated from Wuhan,” said Cheney. “It’s also without question — it cannot be challenged — that the government of China shut down travel from Wuhan into the rest of their country while they allowed travel from Wuhan into the rest of the world. That is without question, and that alone tells you [the Chinese government] knew that they had human-to-human transmission.”

Cheney continued, “They knew it was so dangerous that they didn’t want it in the rest of their country, but yet they caused it to be exported to the rest of the world, and I think that they pretty clearly did that. I’m sure they understood the economic devastation this virus was going to cause, and I think they made a very clear, calculated decision that they didn’t want to be the only country having to face that devastation.”

And that’s not all:

Cheney went on, “There’s no question that they exported this virus. There’s also no question that they continue to hide the truth about it. They continue to refuse to allow the kind of investigation that we need to help speed up the development of a vaccine and other things.”

The Wyoming Republican would go on to say that not holding Chine culpable for their part in the disaster would be akin to governmental malpractice.

As Beijing Plays the Blame Game, Trump Blasts Chinese ‘Wackos’ via Tweet

The evidence is not on China’s side, and Trump knows it.

As we continue to make progress in the fight against this global pandemic, all eyes are turning toward China and their response to the outbreak that begin within their borders.

While Beijing did warn the rest of the world about the dangers of COVID-19, those warnings were deemed wholly inadequate once the rest of the world got a good look at the deadly illness.  It appeared that China’s data had been either grossly manipulated, (or simply fabricated), in order to allow the rest of the world to be caught off-guard.

Combine this sentiment with the numerous “whistleblowers” who have suddenly disappeared from the Far East superpower, and you have the makings of a truly terrible, only slightly passive attack on the world.

Now, as China attempts to shift blame away from themselves, President Trump is calling them to the carpet.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday blasted an unnamed official from the Communist government in China for comments on the coronavirus pandemic.

“Some wacko in China just released a statement blaming everybody other than China for the Virus which has now killed hundreds of thousands of people,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

It is unclear who the president was referring to, but he has repeatedly challenged Chinese Communist Party officials for trying to shift blame for the pandemic that started in Wuhan to other countries. The Chinese government continues arguing they did nothing wrong in handling the virus, which spread worldwide.

“Please explain to this dope that it was the ‘incompetence of China,’ and nothing else, that did this mass Worldwide killing!” Trump wrote.

There have been a growing number of calls for Chinese reparations as of late, as more US lawmakers begin to see the writing on the wall in regard to the Wuhan Flu.

Black Panthers Block Entrances to Chinese Restaurant to ‘Protest Racism’ in China

For some hard to fathom reason, the radical New Black Panther Party decided on Tuesday to launch a boycott of Chinese restaurants in the U.S.A.

For some hard to fathom reason, the radical New Black Panther Party decided on Tuesday to launch a boycott of Chinese restaurants in the U.S.A. to… denounce racism in China? Yeah, apparently that is what they did.

A group of the African American appeared in front of a Chinese restaurant in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

Per Breitbart News:

The protests targeted over a dozen businesses across the country, none of which had any apparent affiliation with the Chinese government.

For example, one group of protesters held a demonstration outside Yum’s in Washington, DC, a popular local eatery. (The founder came to the U.S. from Hong Kong in 1979.)

Breitbart News live-streamed some of the protests in Washington, which included several Black Panther activists trampling a Chinese flag.

Why these nitwits didn’t protest out in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C., is anyone’s guess.

That is where actual Chinese officials work, after all.

Breitbart added:

Shabazz’s press release blamed the Chinese government for “vicious human rights violations; anti-Black racism of Africans living in China; supplying the Black community with poor quality and substandard food; exploiting the local retail market; refusing to hire Blacks; rude and disrespectful treatment; and failure to assist community organizations.”

The statement added that the protests were aimed at “local Chinese business outlets that are open during the pandemic,” with the message that “Harm to Africans in China can bring Harm to Chinese in America.”

Seriously. Do these fools have any idea what they are doing?

Watch Brawl Erupt In Hong Kong Parliament As Pro-Beijing Party Gains Control Of Key Position

The legislative council descended into chaos for more than an hour as opposing lawmakers threw placards and scrambling over each other to take control of a house committee. Politicians rushed to take the seat left empty after the house was unable to elect a new chairperson. The incumbent, Starry Lee, reached the seat first as pro-Beijing and pro-democracy members crowded in

A fight broke out in Hong Kong’s Legislative Council Monday as a pro-Beijing lawmaker was elected chair of a key committee, a position that pro-democracy and pro-Beijing parties had clashed over for several weeks.

The House Committee in Hong Kong’s parliament, which decides what bills are brought to the floor for a vote, had gone six weeks without a chair as the two factions contested the seat, the Associated Press reports. Hong Kong’s parliament has typically been split between the pro-Beijing coalition, led by the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong and various pro-democracy parties.

This is not the first time a fight has broken out over the position. Earlier in May a brawl erupted over the issue and a pro-democracy lawmaker was dragged out of parliament by pro-Beijing lawmakers.

After the central government in Beijing removed pro-democracy deputy chair Dennis Kwok Friday, accusing him of delaying the vote, pro-Beijing lawmaker Chan Kin-por presided over Monday’s vote to elect the committee chair. More

This is what happens when democracy is quashed by the Chinese Communist Party.

Mike Pompeo Says President Trump is ‘Committed’ to Making China Pay for Virus Response

Pompeo’s assurances will be music to the ears of lawmakers who have been calling for China to pay reparations on account of the alleged coverup.

As the fight against coronavirus continues in our nation’s medical field, our diplomats are beginning to take a look at what the international order will look like once the threat has passed…and all eyes are on Beijing.

China’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, which began with an outbreak in Wuhan, has been abysmal – at least when it comes to communication with the rest of the world.  The data that China has shared has been so bad, in fact, that many US lawmakers have already begun suggesting that China pay reparations on account of the alleged “coverup”.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has now indicated that President Trump is considering a number of options in dealing with Beijing’s possibly purposeful negligence.

Pompeo, who joined Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel for an exclusive interview, said he is coordinating with his counterparts around the world and working with the president on developing what “precise mechanisms” will be used to hold China accountable for the pandemic.

“I don’t want to get out in front of what President Trump will ultimately decide, but I think we all know in this administration that we have to make sure that something like this can never happen again,” Pompeo said when asked how the United States will proceed with accountability with regard to China over coronavirus. “That means deterrence. That means setting up processes. The president has already stopped funding to the WHO so that we can evaluate that and figure out which pieces of the WHO might actually work and which pieces don’t so that we can deliver good outcomes and keep Americans safe and make sure this doesn’t happen again. Then, there will come a time, there will come a day when we evaluate what it is that needs to be done to convince the Chinese Communist Party that there are real costs—real costs—connected to this kind of misbehavior. You know this—we say this all the time inside the United States but around the world too, we have to hold nations accountable. I’m talking with many of my counterparts around the world. We have to hold nations accountable for the things and actions that they undertake which create risk, and in this case created enormous loss of life here in the United States. President Trump is committed to doing that. The precise mechanisms we will choose. I want to make sure he gets fully briefed to make those decisions.”

While no direct evidence of a coverup has been publicly presented in a diplomatic fashion, reading between the lines of statements from Pompeo and others paints a grim picture of China’s intentions.

US Authorities Accuse China of Attempting to Hack American Vaccine Researchers

China just keeps digging themselves further and further into this hole, don’t they?

China has a whole lot of explaining to do in terms of this global pandemic, and their trouble just keeps piling up.

Beijing has been under fire for weeks now after it was discovered that the information that they provided to the rest of the world regarding their experience with COVID-19 was wholly flawed.  The information was so poor, in fact, that several experts have expressed concerns that it was purposefully deflated in order to catch the rest of the world off-guard.

The fact that China asked the World Health Organization to help them in this effort certainly doesn’t look good either.

Now, to make matters even worse, it appears as though bad actors from the Far East are trying to hack into American medical institutions in order to gain access to vaccine research.

US security agencies are preparing to issue a warning that China’s most skilled hackers and spies are working to steal American research in the crash effort to develop vaccines and treatments for the coronavirus. The efforts are part of a surge in cybertheft and attacks by nations seeking advantage in the pandemic.

The warning from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security comes as Israeli officials accuse Iran of mounting an effort in late April to cripple water supplies as Israelis were confined to their houses, though the government has offered no evidence to back its claim. More than a dozen countries have redeployed military and intelligence hackers to glean whatever they can about the virus responses of other nations. Even US allies like South Korea and nations that do not typically stand out for their cyber abilities, like Vietnam, have suddenly redirected their state-run hackers to focus on virus-related information, according to private security firms.

A draft of the forthcoming public warning, which officials say is likely to be issued in the days to come, says China is seeking “valuable intellectual property and public health data through illicit means related to vaccines, treatments and testing”. It focuses on cybertheft and action by “nontraditional actors”, a euphemism for researchers and students the Trump administration says are being activated to steal data from inside academic and private laboratories.

This news will almost certainly bolster the case of several US lawmakers who have already insinuated that China’s reluctance to provide accurate coronavirus information should have them on the hook for possible reparations.

NEW POLL: Vast Majority of Americans Believe China Culpable in Coronavirus Coverup

Could reparations be next?

Normalcy is returning ever so slowly to much of the planet, as the threat of COVID-19 continues to wane on account of social distancing and the hard work of our medical professionals.  There is a new threat on the horizon, however, and it comes not from the healthcare sector but from the economy.

Social distancing remains our only weapon against this highly contagious virus, and thusly, mankind has been forced to adjust our way of life in order to properly protect those at-risk populations among us.  This means that restaurants, movie theaters, sports arenas, and concert venues have all been shuttered.  This has driven unemployment through the roof, particularly here in the United States where the entertainment economy represents an inordinate piece of the fiscal pie.

And, as we prepare to attempt to recover from this mess, a great many are pointing their fingers toward China, and asking why they were so reluctant to share accurate data about the virus with the rest of the world.

In fact, a vast majority of Americans are blaming the CCP for the severity of the damage.

Nearly three-fourths of U.S. adults say China bears responsibility for American coronavirus deaths, a Morning Consult tracker poll released Friday revealed.

Morning Consult’s latest tracker survey, polling 2,200 U.S. adults across the country, found that the majority, 73 percent, at least partially hold China responsible for American coronavirus deaths.

The consensus held steady along partisan lines, with 80 percent of Republicans and 71 percent of Democrats stating the belief that China is “‘somewhat’ or ‘very’ responsible for the current death toll in the U.S. from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Of the 12 groups and organizations listed in the survey, China is the most blamed entity among Republicans, and the fourth most among Democrats,” the survey found.

Seventy-three percent of U.S. adults surveyed also laid responsibility at the feet of “Americans who didn’t socially distance,” with Democrats outpacing Republican in the blame 84 percent to 67 percent.

Additionally, the survey found that 66 percent blame Americans who travelled internationally and 58 percent blame immigrants who travelled to the U.S. after the outbreak started. Fifty-six percent placed blame on the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), and 60 percent on the governments of other countries. Sixty-two percent said the federal government bears some responsibility, 55 percent said the same of state governments, and 49 percent said local governments.

Several US lawmakers have already begun calling for an investigation into the financial impact of China’s alleged coverup, possibly in preparation to demand reparations from the communist dictatorship.

New Report Shows China Hoarding Supplies While Downplaying Virus

Beijing is going to have a hard time denying this…

There have been no shortage of accusations hurled at China over the course of the last few weeks, and a new intelligence report will likely only serve to amplify these insinuations.

Lawmakers in the US and abroad have repeatedly called for an investigation into China’s coronavirus response, insinuating that the communist dictatorship obscured the severity of the illness, setting up the rest of the unsuspecting world for a terrible and tragic surprise.

The Department of Homeland Security is now upping the ante on that charge.

Chinese leaders “intentionally concealed the severity” of the pandemic from the world in early January, according to a four-page Department of Homeland Security report dated May 1 and obtained by The Associated Press. The revelation comes as the Trump administration has intensified its criticism of China, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying Sunday that China was responsible for the spread of disease and must be held accountable.

The analysis states that, while downplaying the severity of the coronavirus, China increased imports and decreased exports of medical supplies. It attempted to cover up doing so by “denying there were export restrictions and obfuscating and delaying provision of its trade data,” the analysis states.

The report also says China held off informing the World Health Organization that the coronavirus “was a contagion” for much of January so it could order medical supplies from abroad — and that its imports of face masks and surgical gowns and gloves increased sharply.

Those conclusions are based on the 95% probability that China’s changes in imports and export behavior were not within normal range, according to the report.

In the United States, several legislators have even suggested that China be asked to pay reparations on account of this purported coverup, and there is little doubt that this DHS report will throw fuel on that fire.
