First-Time Border Wall Construction Begins in Texas in Trump Promise Fulfilled

Construction on brand new border wall barriers has begun along the Rio Grande River in Texas marking another promise kept by the Trump administration.

Published

Construction on brand new border wall barriers has begun along the Rio Grande River in Texas marking another promise kept by the Trump administration.

Trump has already built 75 miles of new walls, but to date all that construction has been in areas that replaced dilapidated barriers, or barriers that were purposefully made to be ineffective.

President Trump promised to start building new border walls on our southern border and the Democrats have worked for three years to stop any progress. But Trump has prevailed, anyway, and has set in place miles and miles of new barriers. And now he has started new construction in Texas, right where illegal crossings are worst.

The new barrier is under construction southeast of McAllen in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley sector.

According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) this region sees the most illegal crossings of any border sector, and more than 325,000 people were apprehended there through August.

“Rio Grande Valley is by far our busiest sector, so getting this new wall system capability down there for [the agents] is truly a game-changer,” a CBP spokesman said. “Just last week, the agents on the frontlines told us the wall is something they need.”

The previous construction was only built by the Obama administration to prevent vehicle traffic, but the sparse barriers did not prevent foot traffic at all.

The new wall changed that, CBP said.

“People can walk through or across a vehicle barrier with drugs or other contraband but can’t walk through an 18- to 30-foot wall with anti-climb features, sensors and cameras,” CBP said.

Fox News added:

… wall advocates are excited that the project is advancing and note that illegal crossings are falling dramatically from summer peaks, in part due to Mexico stepping up enforcement of its borders and in part thanks to renovated wall sections.

“They’re making progress,” Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, told Fox News. “They desperately need more barriers down there because that’s one of the main places people are crossing.”

The federal government plans to put 100 miles of new wall n the Rio Grande area.

“By the end of 2020, the agency aims to have completed 141 miles of brand-new wall and 24 miles of new levee wall, along with 273 miles of replacement wall, for a total of more than 400 miles of border barriers. Seventy-one miles would also receive a second wall for extra security,” Fox noted.

Even in Blue New Jersey Voters Turning Against ‘Sanctuary City’ Rules

One surprising outcome of the 2019 election this week was seen in deep Democrat New Jersey where voters turned against so-called “sanctuary city” rules.

One surprising outcome of the 2019 election this week was seen in deep Democrat New Jersey where voters turned against so-called “sanctuary city” rules, and Repubicans made gains for the first time in more than a decade.

A backlash to left-wing immigration policies drove voters in several Garden State counties to reject the liberal ideas and to hew closer to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, according to the New York Times.

Immigration issues also seem to have aided in getting several Republicans elected to the state legislature in elections that turned Democrats out of office.

In one case, voters in Sussex County voted 2 to 1 to require county police officers to work with federal immigration officials. In other words, voters voted against sanctuary policies that would protect criminal illegals from deportation.

In other areas of the state, officials in two counties have filed lawsuits against the state over the state attorney general’s rules that prohibits police officers from working with ICE officials. A third county is contemplating a similar lawsuit.

Also, in areas including parts of Cape May, Cumberland, and Atlantic Counties, Republicans ousted Democrats on Election Day in large part because residents were sick of the left-wing immigration policies Democrats have forced onto the state.

Immigration policies seem to have been a major factor in New Jersey this year:

“It was a rallying cry,” said Antwan McClellan, a Republican elected on Tuesday to the Assembly who works as the personnel director and assistant to the Cape May County sheriff. “People were concerned about their safety.” The sheriff filed one of the lawsuits against the attorney general.

He is being represented in the suit by another victorious Republican, Michael Testa Jr., a chairman of Mr. Trump’s re-election effort in New Jersey, who won a Senate seat that had been held by Representative Jeff Van Drew, one of only two House Democrats to oppose a resolution laying out rules for an impeachment inquiry.

Tellingly, even the New York Time found a number of immigrants who came to the U.S. the legal way who joined the backlash against the mollycoddling of illegal aliens.

According to Politico, New Jersey Democrats lost three legislative seats to GOP candidates despite outspending the Republicans by $2 million. It was the first time the GOP has gained seats in Trenton since 2007.

Immigration was not the only thing driving Republicans to the polls, either. Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy has become unpopular for his massive tax hikes implemented so he could spend money on his extremist, left-wing policies.

ICE Reports Hundreds of Migrants Lying that Children with Them Are Family

The U.S. government has identified hundreds of migrants who they say have lied about the children they are trying to smuggle into the U.S.A.

Published

The U.S. government has identified hundreds of migrants who they say have lied about the children they are trying to smuggle into the U.S.A.

According to reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have reported discovering hundreds of illegal immigrants who lied when saying that the children they brought over our borders were actually their own family members.

ICE reported in a press release that they have detained and identified 200 “fraudulent families” in just the last six months alone.

The effort to determine true familial relationships of illegals claiming to be bringing their own children across thousands of miles of treacherous terrain, and dangerous conditions have netted hundreds of criminals trying to smuggle kids into the U.S.A. for unknown purposes.

ICE reports discovering:

-238 fraudulent families identified

-329 false documents seized that were used to support fraudulent claims

-more than 350 individuals federally prosecuted for various crimes, including human smuggling, making false statements, conspiracy, and illegal re-entry after removal

-50 individuals identified who have fraudulently claimed to be unaccompanied minors.

ICE also reports that many of these children were taken by human traffickers.

Some of the most disturbing cases identified involve transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and individuals who are increasingly exploiting innocent children to further their criminal activity. Investigations indicate that TCOs and individuals have entered into schemes with biological parents to dangerously transfer their children – ranging in age from 4 months to 16 years – to unrelated adults so they can pose as family units to further their human smuggling criminal enterprises and/or fraudulently obtain U.S. immigration benefits.

“These children are being dangerously used as pawns by criminals to take advantage of loopholes in our immigration laws and avoid being detained by U.S. immigration authorities,” said Jack P. Staton, special agent in charge of HSI El Paso. “HSI and Border Patrol will continue to protect children from being smuggled, as well as aggressively target, identify and stop criminal organizations from generating false documents and exploiting innocent children.”

ICE also discovered dozens of illegals over the age of 18 who were being passed off as children under the legal age of consent.

“These are examples of the dark side of this humanitarian crisis that our Border Patrol and HSI agents are working tirelessly to identify,” said El Paso Sector Interim Chief Gloria I. Chavez. “We will pursue the highest of judicial consequences for those who commit fraud and exploit innocent children.”

Florida Court Rules Law Enforcement MUST Assist Immigration — Officials Who Refuse Will Be Removed

Published

on

A Florida court has ruled that state law enforcement officers are required to cooperate with U.S. immigration officials and those who obstruct that cooperation can even be removed from office.

On Monday, Miami U.S. District Court Judge Beth Bloom upheld most of SB 168, a recent state law on Monday that is just about to go into effect, according to Law Enforcement Today.

Not only does SB 168 ban any local municipality from declaring themselves a “sanctuary city,” it also requires law enforcement to hold illegals for an additional 48 hours to give Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) time to pick up those on deportation orders.

Still, the judge did strike down one part of the new law.

Bloom shut down the rule that would require state law enforcement officials to transport illegals across state lines if ICE officials asked them to do so.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the bill into law last June. But the left lined up in opposition right away.

Liberal politicians in some of Florida’s cities were furious at the law. The liberal mayor of South Miami, Philip Stoddard, immediately filed a lawsuit against the state to stop the law.

Looks like Stoddard and his liberal pals lost.

Stoddard was utterly shocked by the judge’s ruling. “It’s ridiculous,” Stoddard blurted out. “It’s putting immigration enforcement above public safety.”

Stoddard went on to mischaracterize what ICE even does: “This means if ICE tells you to drop everything, patrol, protection of schools, criminal investigations, you have to go play Cowboys and Indians with ICE. Local law enforcement is secondary to immigration enforcement.”

This is blatantly untrue. That is not how ICE operates. Ever.

Virginia City Suspends Police Officer for ‘Crime’ of Helping Immigration

An extremist left-wing city police chief has suspended one of his officers for the “crime” of helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrest an illegal.

Published

on

An apparent extremist left-wing city police chief has suspended one of his officers for the “crime” of helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) take an illegal alien into custody.

The incident began on Saturday, Sept. 21, when the thus far unnamed officer had pulled over a driver for a routine violation but found a passenger was an illegal about whom ICE had sent out an alert.

The officer detained the passenger and alerted ICE.

But now, the officer’s chief has suspended him for daring to help ICE arrest a lawbreaking illegal.

Left-wing Chief Ed Roessler, who is more interested in protecting illegals than his own citizens, sanctioned his officer for incorrectly helping ICE take the illegal alien into custody.

In a message to the department’s website, illegal alien activist chief insisted that his officer violated department practices.

Roessler said that the officer should not have handed the illegal over to ICE because the illegal had broken no city law and was not being arrested and so should have been released.

The chief wrote that, ” training at our Academy, as clearly outlined in lesson plans, as well as in-service training reinforces to our personnel that we do not enforce nor detain for administrative warrants and we have no authority to enforce federal law. We have also been working closely with community members and advocates to review our General Orders in this regard.”

The activist chief added:

As a matter of full transparency to our community – our police officer violated our longstanding policy and deprived a person of their freedom, which is unacceptable. We have been informed by ICE that the driver was released after three hours and issued an ankle monitor. When I learned of this event, I directed an immediate internal investigation to look at all factors in this matter to ensure that all are held accountable for this violation. Our county is one of the most diverse counties in the nation and no one should have the perception that FCPD is acting as a civil immigration agent for ICE. This matter damages our reputation and the longstanding policy that I have stated many times that our officers shall not act as immigration agents. The officer involved in this event has been relieved of all law enforcement duties pending the outcome of this investigation. It is my duty to enforce our FCPD – and Fairfax County – policies and hold all accountable for their actions.

Neither the officer nor the illegal alien have been publicly identified.

Trump Slams ‘Open Border Activists’: Your Unjust Policies ‘Are Cruel and Evil’

President Donald Trump took a switch to the backside of “evil” open border activists during his remarks to the United Nations.

Published

on

President Donald Trump took a switch to the backside of open border activists during his remarks to the United Nations saying that their polices are both unjust and evil.

Trump slammed those immigrant’s “rights” groups for preying on illegals.

The president didn’t cut the activists any slack.

Trump told the UN that Illegal immigration “undermines prosperity, rips apart societies, and empowers ruthless criminal cartels,” the president told world leaders Tuesday. “Today, I have a message for those open border activists who cloak themselves in the rhetoric of social justice,” he said. “Your policies are not just, your policies are cruel and evil. You are empowering criminal organizations that prey on innocent men, women, and children. You put your own false sense of virtue before the lives, well-being, and countless innocent people. When you undermine border security, you are undermining human rights and human dignity.”

The president also warned those who would consider breaking immigration laws by sneaking across the borders of another nation.

“To anyone conducting crossings of our border illegally please hear these words,” Trump said. “Do not pay the smugglers, do not pay the coyotes, do not put yourself in danger, do not put your children in danger, because if you make it here, you will not be allowed in. You will be promptly returned home. You will not be released into our country.”

The president also had praise for countries that have begun helping the U.S. to put an end to this immigration crisis.

Trump heaped praise on Mexico in particular for curbing the flow if illegals and upholding the “integrity of borders and ensure safety and prosperity for our people.”

This sort of straight talk is never seen at the U.N. It was sure to send the blood pressure of every left-wing globalist there into orbit!

Immigrants Rights Group Sues Trump Administration to Gain Welfare Payments

We should work to ensure that only those who have something to offer our country is allowed to immigrate to the U.S. Immigrating to the U.S. is . It is a privilege.

Published

on

Two illegal aliens have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration in an attempt to force the government to give them welfare while they file for green card status.

Recently the administration changed its green card eligibility rules to make it harder for applicants to be approved for a green card if they are taking any sort of welfare or government assistance payments.

Federal law already maintains that those seeking permanent resident status must prove to the government that they will be productive members of our society before being afforded green card status. But the proposed new rules would add a range of welfare programs to the list that could disqualify immigrants looking for legal status.

According to a report at the The Washington Times:

The Department of Homeland Security said Saturday that current and past receipt of certain public benefits above thresholds would be considered “a heavily weighed negative factor” in granting green cards as well as temporary stays.

The proposal “will clearly define long-standing law to ensure that those seeking to enter and remain in the United States either temporarily or permanently can support themselves financially and will not be reliant on public benefits,” the department said.

The 447-page proposal published on the department’s website will appear in the Federal Register “in the coming weeks,” triggering a 60-day public comment period before it takes effect.

Coming less than seven weeks before midterm elections, the announcement could help galvanize voters who have backed or opposed Trump’s broad crackdown on legal and illegal immigration.

In May of this year, the administration also restored the 23-year-old rule that requires sponsors of immigrants to re-pay the government for the costs any federal social services the immigrant uses.

The Trump administration noted that the refusal to enforce this rule has cost the government billions of dollars since 1996.

“This executive action will dramatically curb ‘welfare tourism’ and protect U.S. benefits for U.S. families,” an official told Breitbart. “It will also ensure that immigrant sponsors cannot continue the practice of bringing in large numbers of welfare-dependent immigrants: because they will be financially liable. Congress passed these laws – but they were effectively never used. Now they will be.”

But now, an immigrant’s “rights” group is attempting to have all this eliminated by an activist court ruling.

According to Breitbart News:

The open-borders group CASA de Maryland and two DACA illegal aliens are suing the Trump administration over its soon-t0-be enforcement of the “public charge” rule, which would save American taxpayers billions by effectively ending welfare-dependent legal immigration to the U.S.

Naturally, the leftists claim it’s all about racism:

“The new rule would allow immigration officials to deny [Lawful Permanent Resident] status to many immigrants in an arbitrary and discriminatory way,” Amy Marshak, senior counsel at ICAP, said in a statement. “This is by design. President Trump and his advisors have expressed animus toward non-white immigrants, and studies already have shown that the new rule will disproportionately affect immigrants of color.”

No. The new rule would put up another roadblock to undesirable immigrants.

Immigration is not for the benefit of immigrants. First and foremost, it should be for the benefit of America, and only secondarily for the immigrants. We should work to ensure that only those who have something to offer our country is allowed to immigrate to the U.S. Immigrating to the U.S. is . It is a privilege.

Rep. Ilhan Omar Says U.S. Immigration Policy is Exactly Like ‘Slave Auctions’

Omar claimed she was “absolutely not” attacking America’s border agents.

Published

on

Minnesota’s Democrat Rep., Ilhan Omar, recently claimed that when she visited Ghana and saw its 400-year-old slave pens, she couldn’t help but see that the Ghana slave trade was just like today’s U.S. immigration policies.

After returning from her overseas visit., Omar spoke at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual conference where she described her tour of a 400-year-old African slave dungeon there. She then claimed she had a “sort of flashback” to images of enslaved people in Libya and the detention of illegal aliens on the U.S. border.

“We arrived in Ghana and one of the first things we did was to visit what some would say is a castle — but they were dungeons,” Omar explained. “[The tour guide] started giving us a description of what used to take place as the Africans were being kept — were held there as captives. And every time he gave a description, I had this sort of flashback to an image that I saw on TV in Libya where you had Africans in a small room that were now captives, and that image was from today.”

“Every time he would talk about the separation of the kids and from their parents and how they would have young girls be in the same dungeons as the women or they would have young boys be in the same dungeons as the men, I couldn’t stop seeing images of the current camps we have here at our borders of the United States,” Omar concluded.

Make no mistake. What Omar did, here, was to equate U.S. border policy to the Ghanaian “slave dungeons” from 400 years ago. She directly equated the two. In her comments there was no wiggle room. She directly stated that temporarily detaining illegal immigrants is exactly like the human slave trade.

After her comments made the rounds, though, Omar floated the lie that she wasn’t criticizing ICE and our immigration policies at all.

Omar claimed she was “absolutely not” attacking America’s border agents.

In other words, she said, “are you going to believe me, or your lying ears.”

In other comments, Omar even said SHE was harmed more than anyone else after 9/11 because of “bias” against Muslims.

“It’s important for us to make sure that we are not forgetting the aftermath of 9/11, [when] many Americans found themselves now having their civil rights stripped from them, and so what I was speaking to was that as a Muslim, not only was I suffering as an American who was attacked on that day, but the next day I woke up as my fellow Americans were now treating me as suspect,” Omar said on Face the Nation.

I think the families of our 3,000 dead from the attacks on 9/11 would beg to differ.
