Even Trump’s Opponents are Impressed with His Korea Campaign

On networks like MSNBC and CNN they’ve moved in turn between criticizing Trump’s chumminess with Kim Jong Un, to praising the President for finally bringing North Korea to heel. It’s enough to make one’s head spin, but this is what happens when the media becomes a partisan reactionary force.

President Trump’s summit in North Korea went so well that the leftwing media is having a hard time deciding how to cover what has taken place.

For example, CNN had former Obama DNI James Clapper on, and the nation got to hear him argue that DENNIS RODMAN should have played an important role in the North Korea – USA peace talks. No, Dennis Rodman is not some Harvard-educated specialist on Eastern Asian affairs. He’s an NBA Hall of Famer whose nickname is “the Worm” and who has a penchant for flamboyance.

Chris Cuomo: So, let’s get to Jim Clapper, former head of the director of national intelligence here.

So, first things first. We hear that Dennis Rodman, we have him on the show later on may have given Kim’s men in New York, Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal,” and that he read it. Significant to you?

James Clapper: Yes, it is, I have long been an advocate of involving Dennis Rodman in a —

Chris Cuomo: So, Jim Clapper, the former head of — the former DNI, the director of national intelligence, you saw Dennis Rodman as relevant?

James Clapper: I do. He is a unique person since he has a relationship with both Kim Jong-un and with Donald Trump and obviously has great rapport with Kim Jong-un who is a basketball fanatic himself. So, I think that there is potential here to engage Dennis Rodman in a serious way in promoting this relationship.

Former Democrat Senator and Al Gore’s choice for Vice President, Joe Lieberman, was quite impressed with President Trump’s diplomatic efforts. Lieberman even went out of his way to praise the President for doing things quite differently than his predecessor, Barack Obama.

Joe Lieberman: I think the summit in Singapore was a success. Some people will say – I’ve been interested overnight, President Trump is getting criticized from the left and right, which makes me feel good actually. But the point is, how much can you expect from the first meeting between two nations that have been totally separated, two leaders who are hurling verbal lightning bolts at each other just about six months ago. So I think overall the wording in the communique denuclearization which Kim agreed to say in response to in return for security from the U.S. and prosperity for the people in North Korea. All good. What is of relevance to the Iranian negotiations, President Trump has been a real critic of that agreement, I agree with him. In some ways what the Obama administration and what our European allies did with the Iranians is a template for what not to do here. Don’t look like you want an agreement more than the other side does. Don’t settle for just temporary denuclearization… so there’s a lot more work to do. Secretary Pompeo is going to have a very important role here but the world looks a little brighter this morning.

Yep. You just heard a former Democratic Vice Presidential candidate say ‘Don’t Do Things the Way Obama Did Them.’

Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams, who did end up supporting Trump in the last election, but isn’t generally a Republican voter also argued that the Trump team’s efforts to woo Kim Jong Un and his leadership team was GENIUS!

Adams begins by telling his viewers that they have to watch the Trump team’s “movie trailer” for Kim Jong Un. Adams argues that the tone, tenor, and message of the film are perfectly tailored to the North Korean dictator and they are a brilliant use of the medium as an effort to bend Kim Jong Un to Trump’s will.

Here’s the video they created first:

Now, here’s Adams explaining why this movie was a stroke of genius.

“You have to watch it. Let me give you my first reaction: It might be the best thing anybody ever did in a negotiation. Period. It might be, in the history of the world, the best thing ever did. It is so good. It hits every note perfectly.

It starts with a movie trailer model. I assume we’ve done our research and know that Kim might like American-style movies or just movies. If he’s the type of person who likes that kind of thing, that might be effective. But it starts right off saying this is a rare opportunity with two special people, so the incentive to be aspirational and become the person in this movie is high. t starts perfectly, great tone, it is serious, the music is like world-big…

Did you catch that? History doesn’t have to repeat. ‘History is always evolving.’ What is the biggest issue everybody has with North Korea right now? We’re stuck in our mental prison of history. We’re stuck assuming that the past repeats. This is saying right from the start, history evolves. History doesn’t repeat, history evolves.”

Even the folks at CNN had to stop attacking the President for a minute to recognize that he’s been quite consistent about the North Korea issue over the years.

David Swerdlick: So, President Trump or then Donald Trump had an initial point that he was right on, that the longer you let international issues fester, the longer you let proliferation issues, nuclear proliferation issues go on and on, the harder they get to deal with down the road.

But the problem is, in his own words, he is saying there when you get to a point like we’re at now, you have a choice of either negotiating or dealing with them, it almost sounded like he was saying, toughly, militarily.

But if these negotiations don’t work — and most negotiators don’t think we’re going to get denuclearization out of these talks — does that mean he is going to follow his own advice from 1999 and take military action?

What was different then that’s not the same now, that you have a war- weary public that’s been through 15, 20 years of war in the Middle East. It’s not going to play out the same way.

Wolf Blitzer: He has been very consistent, Rebecca. What he said in 1999, he could have said last week.

Gloria Borger: But I just think it shows you that Donald Trump really hasn’t changed in 20 years.

Wolf Blitzer: Right.

Gloria Borger: What he believed then, he believes now. And he is not going to change his mind. So, when he says he has been preparing for this his entire life, I mean, it may be partially true, even though he didn’t expect to be president of the United States at that particular point, which may be why he says he doesn’t — he didn’t need to prep.

Not only do they recognize that Trump has been “consistent,” they’re also forced to recognize that he’s been right… the whole time.

Freshman Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez Calls for Resignation of White House Adviser Stephen Miller

AOC has completely ignored the fact that Miller’s ancestors were themselves persecuted on account of their ethnicity.

Published

on

Of all of the absurd and inflammatory claims being made about Donald Trump and his administration, none has been more offensive than the allegation that he and his inner circle are promoting racism and bigotry.

This is the liberal equivalent of going nuclear, as it invokes hundreds upon hundreds of years worth of hatred and violence here in the United States, and it quite difficult to defend against as racism itself is only a trait that is apparent during the brazen acts that all who witness them can instantly recognize.  As such, the possibility of someone possessing such vile traits without being outed en masse is quite slim.

Yet, still, small pockets of the Democratic Party continue to employ the tactic to defame those with whom they disagree politically.

“Stephen Miller, Trump’s architect of mass human rights abuses at the border (including child separation & detention camps w/ child fatalities) has been exposed as a bonafide white nationalist,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. “He’s still at the White House shaping US immigration policy. Miller must resign. Now.”

On Wednesday, she retweeted a link to her online petition calling for Miller’s resignation.

“Each day we allow a white nationalist to be in charge of US immigration policy is a day where thousands of children & families lives are in danger,” the New York Democrat said. “This year alone, under Miller’s direction, the US has put almost 70,000 children in custody.” She did not cite her source for that figure.

Of course, Miller’s ancestors were themselves persecuted on the basis of their ethnicity – a point that was not lost on his defenders.

Fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., previously criticized Miller’s influence on federal immigration policy when she called him a “white nationalist” on Twitter in April.

Critics of Omar pointed out that Miller is Jewish and condemned her remarks as anti-Semitic. The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., also weighed in, calling Omar the “head of the Farrakhan Fan Club” and saying she “apparently has no shame.”

President Trump defended Miller by retweeting a quote attributed to media executive Jeff Ballabon, CEO of B2 Strategic.

“What’s completely unacceptable is for Congresswoman Omar to target Jews, in this case Stephen Miller,” Ballabon reportedly said.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is known for her hyper partisan rhetoric and unkempt rage when it comes to all-things-Trump, making this latest outburst seem rather ordinary, despite its alarming nature.

Pelosi Escalates Anti-Trump Rhetoric by Invoking ‘Bribery’ in Press Conference

Pelosi also refused to acknowledge that none of the witnesses brought forth so far have had direct knowledge of the supposed improprieties, and admonished a reporter for mentioning that fact.

Published

The constant shifting and refocusing of the Democrats’ case for impeachment has been more than a mere annoyance for Americans the nation over, and lends a great deal of gravity to the idea that we are now living in a world where our elected leaders will be forced to work under indefinite investigatory pressure for the entirety of their terms.

Now, while President Trump continues to remind lawmakers that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky felt “no pressure” during a supposedly damning phone call between the two nations back in July, the Democrats are purposefully evolving their verbiage on the subject to keep the interest of their political base.

The latest example of these semantic gymnastics come to us from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who today described the aforementioned phone call as “bribery”.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the president’s actions in the impeachment inquiry amount to “bribery.”

Pelosi told reporters Thursday that while President Donald Trump says his call with Ukraine was “perfect,” she thinks “it’s perfectly wrong.”

There was a very specific reason for this language as well:

Bribery is an impeachable offense spelled out in the Constitution.

Pelosi would go on to chastise one reporter for mentioning the Republican defense of the President that much of what is being exposed by this impeachment “inquiry” is second or third-hand knowledge or “hearsay”.

While it is true that the witnesses brought forth so far have had no direct knowledge of the information alleged in the now-infamous whistleblower complaint, Pelosi and other Democrats have attempted to portray this fact as irrelevant in hopes of continuing their ruse for an as-of-yet undetermined amount of time.

Jordan Shreds Democrats’ Impeachment Witness: ‘What You Heard Did Not Happen’

Jordan Shreds Democrats’ Impeachment Witness: ‘What You Heard Did Not Happen’

Jim Jordan shredded the Democrats’ impeachment witness Ambassador William Taylor: ‘What you heard did not happen.’

Today in a nutshell: Ambassador William Taylor wasn’t on the call. He’s never spoken with Mulvaney. He’s never met the president. And he’s their star witness. “I’ve seen church prayer chains that are easier to understand than this.” -Jim Jordan

TDW:

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) ripped Democrats’ impeachment witness Ambassador William Taylor on Wednesday as he deconstructed the narrative the Democratic Party has promoted surrounding President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During one exchange, Jordan highlighted Taylor’s limited knowledge of the events about which he was testifying:

Jordan: You didn’t listen in on President Trump and Zelensky’s call?

Taylor: I did not.

Jordan: You’ve never talked with Chief of Staff Mulvaney?

Taylor: I never did.

Jordan: You’ve never met the president?

Taylor: That’s correct.

Jordan: You had three meetings again with Zelenksy and it didn’t come up … and President Zelensky never made an announcement. … and you’re their star witness.

“In those 55 days that aid is delayed, you met with President Zelensky three times,” Jordan said. “The first one was on July 26, the day after the famous call now between President Trump and President Zelensky.” More

Prominent Anti-Trump Voice George Conway Tapped by MSNBC to Kick Off Impeachment Coverage

As if this weren’t already enough of a circus.

Published

on

The predictable nature of the mainstream media is on full display this week as public impeachment hearings promise to further divide our nation down party lines.

The Democrats, hellbent on somehow reversing the results of the 2016 election, are practically gloating at the moment.  They see this media circus as their ticket to a nation not under the watchful eye of President Trump, hoping to steer the American public ever further to the left.

The media is little more than a catalyst for this hyperbolic hullabaloo, and they aren’t even hiding it anymore.  On MSNBC, one of the most consistently anti-Trump networks, they’ve even gone as far as to tap George Conway, husband of White House adviser Kellyanne Conway and frequent critic of the President, to kick off the marathon coverage.

Attorney George Conway, the husband of senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, kicked off MSNBC’s live coverage of the impeachment of President Donald Trump with a devastating takedown of Republicans, saying he is “horrified and appalled” by the way the GOP has handled this.

MSNBC scored quite the coup with the provocative Conway, and he did not disappoint.

Co-anchor Nicolle Wallace asked Conway to explain what it is that Trump did that was impeachable, and Conway explained a president’s duty to “faithfully execute the laws.

“When you take on that duty… you are promising to take that awesome power that’s being thrust upon you and use it for the nation’s benefit, and not for your own benefit,” Conway said, and added “And the problem with Donald Trump is he always sees himself first. Trump is all about Trump.”

He went on to say “that’s what this is all about, he’s using, he was using the power of the presidency at its most unchecked area, foreign affairs, to advance his own personal interests as opposed to the country.”

For many, the entire impeachment process is nothing more than a show, given that the Senate Majority Leader has already vehemently declared that a swift acquittal is in the offing for President Trump.  This means that the Democrats will be soaking up whatever spotlight that they can during these public hearings in hopes of exploiting this constitutionally sacred process as some sort of 24/7 anti-Trump campaign ad for 2020.

Rep. Mark Meadows Again Blasts Impeachment ‘Sham’ as Public Hearings Begin

Given just how contentious the proceedings have been so far, it would seem that Meadows has hit the nail on the head.

Published

on

Today is undoubtedly a historic day for the United States of America, as public hearings regarding a possible impeachment of President Trump have begun on Capitol Hill.

This is the very first time that such proceedings have been broadcast into the homes of We The People, further adding to the uniqueness of these events.

Of course, not everyone on Capitol Hill is clamoring for these impeachment hearings to get off the ground, as Republicans continue to decry the process for its previous secrecy, as well as for its cart before the horse logic.

Many Republicans, like House Rep. Mark Meadows, are letting their voices be heard and emphatically denouncing the entire process.

Appearing on “America’s Newsroom” with host Sandra Smith, Meadows said that Democrats want to “make sure that the rules are twisted to their favor.”

“We’re going to see that. We’re going to see their two star witnesses today. Neither one of them [has] ever talked to the president of the United States. And so, it’s interesting how the American people are going to be able to judge this based on secondhand or thirdhand information,” he said.

“As much as my Democratic colleagues will want to push it out, they are not going to be able to present the case to the American people in a compelling way,” he argued.

“When the facts come out, we will find that this is an empty bucket full of lots of innuendos but real no facts that would suggest that impeachment is warranted,” added Meadows.

He would go on…

Meadows argued that if the hearings were about a “fair process” they would have been “handled totally differently” and that House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., has been conducting a “sham process for the last six weeks.”

Given just how contentious the proceedings have been so far, it would seem that Meadows has hit the nail on the head.

John Bolton Drops Wild Accusation Against Trump During Private Speech

We may have just received a small preview of what Bolton’s possible impeachment testimony will look like.

Published

on

There has been a great deal of speculation regarding former national security adviser John Bolton and exactly where he stands in regard to President Trump’s looming impeachment.

Bolton was fired from the White House after numerous rumors emerged intimating that he and President Trump were not seeing eye to eye on foreign policy – particularly in the Middle East.  The long-serving Bolton has long been considered a war hawk of sorts, pushing for military action early and often when situations in the region sour.

Now, with the impeachment scandal singularly focused on the matter involving Ukraine, Bolton’s experiences in the White House are under the proverbial microscope, with a great many in the West Wing wondering just what Bolton will say if or when he testifies.

We may have gotten a small preview during a recent speech he gave.

Former national security adviser John Bolton derided President Donald Trump’s daughter and son-in-law during a private speech last week and suggested his former boss’ approach to U.S. policy on Turkey is motivated by personal or financial interests, several people who were present for the remarks told NBC News.

According to six people who were there, Bolton also questioned the merits of Trump applying his business acumen to foreign policy, saying such issues can’t be approached like the win-or-lose edict that drives real estate deals: When one deal doesn’t work, you move on to the next.

The description was part of a broader portrait Bolton outlined of a president who lacks an understanding of the interconnected nature of relationships in foreign policy and the need for consistency, these people said.

Bolton has not yet been scheduled to testify, with the possibility of a court order to do so still hovering in the ether.

Timing of Joe Biden’s 2014 Ukraine Trip Renews Concerns Over Corruption and Nepotism

The mainstream media can shout “debunked conspiracy theory” until they’re blue in the face, but it won’t change the facts of the situation.

Published

on

There is a very distinct reason why the House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff doesn’t want to preside over a deep dig into the matter of the Bidens’ business in Ukraine; namely, that the disclosure of the facts in the case would completely eviscerate the Democrats’ impeachment narrative.

As of right now, the Democratic angle on impeachment is that President Trump’s insistence on investigating corruption within Ukraine was somehow inappropriate or uncouth, and based on the Commander in Chief’s desire to drum up damaging dirt on Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election.

For this narrative to be effective, Joe Biden will need to come out of this investigation unscathed and squeaky clean.  Otherwise, the President’s concerns would then be completed warranted, thus eradicating the plausible deniability the the Democrats are hiding behind.

That’s why Adam Schiff has attempted to forbid the GOP from calling Hunter Biden, son of Joe, as a witness in the UkraineGate impeachment inquiry.

In the mainstream media, the canned line about the Joe-Hunter-Ukraine connection being a “debunked conspiracy theory” is just that:  A canned line.  A soundbite meant to detract from the President’s defense.

But here are the facts:

Nepotism?  Check.

Continued use of hard drugs?  Check.

Then, just a month after this meeting…

As we can clearly see, the “debunked conspiracy theory” regarding Hunter Biden riding nepotism into his cushy Burisma gig is anything but debunked, regardless of the mainstream media’s incessant repetition of that talking point.

Furthermore, it would be highly detrimental to the Democrats for this information to become widespread, as it then vindicates the President’s concerns over American political involvement in Ukrainian corruption.
