Several recent studies have revealed the increased number of public school and college students who are experiencing various forms of mental illness, such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, and others.

A Wall Street Journal report claims as many as 25 percent in elite colleges are thus classified, and require accommodations for exam taking, seating preference, quiet private rooms, and comfort animals. Steve Schlozman and Eliza Abdu-Glass, authors of The College Mental Health Crisis: Focus on Suicide, disclosed the thousands of suicides on college campuses each year, about two to three every day.  Their emphasis is on students’ inadequate counseling, but we should ask why this generation, specifically, is so unstable and why the obvious signs have been ignored.

Is it possible to identify what could be so threatening? 

Our educational system was restructured according to a radical, global, political ideology (Agenda 21) promoted by President Obama’s White House, Bill and Melinda Gates, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the Governors Association, and other supporters of a federal takeover of education for a Global Economy.  Called the Common Core Standards, it was implemented by 46 states and D.C.  While we were deluged with Hillary Clinton’s oft-uttered phrase, “no child left behind,” David Coleman, the architect of the controversial, experimental (experimenting on our children!) curriculum, was executing an equal-outcome system, thereby eliminating the motivation and ambition of equal opportunity for individual excellence and achievement, each to his/her own interests and abilities.  And, since all schools – public, private, parochial, home schools – were subject to the same textbooks and tests, and the governors handsomely rewarded, the Standards were assumed almost nationwide.

Result: the students have become guinea pigs to a seemingly untested Standard – with a specific purpose.

Seriously flawed mathematics and science standards, put into practice by mathematically- and scientifically-illiterate state boards of education, are frustrating, limiting, and damaging to the children who experience distress despite their efforts.  Creative classic literature has been replaced by depressing, sexualized dystopian novels that oppress the spirit and exceed the children’s maturity level. Maria Calamia, licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, reported 200 to 300 percent more children experiencing serious stress and trauma due to the new curricula, citing numerous incidents of the better students’ crying, bedwetting, self-mutilating, and experiencing nightmares at their new mediocrity.   Non-fiction, informational texts and historical documents of a leftist agenda were also introduced, guaranteed to not only indoctrinate, but also to increase boredom and lessen interest and reading ability, with one report showing that 700,000 graduates per year cannot read their own diplomas.  In 2016, more than 40 percent of four-year-college students (two million) did not earn their degree and dropped out; and only 26 percent of two-year students will earn their degree.

Result: frustrations, inabilities, inadequacies, distress, youthful hopes dashed; a generation betrayed, unable to cope and function independently in society.

Parents were powerless to defy the system as they saw their children dealing with lessons of sexual deviancy that inspire change to their very natures, secular progressivism and Islamic indoctrination, and diminished coverage of Judeo-Christian values, American and European history.  Having already been deprived of best friends, a buddy, a confidant, the troubled students are in the untenable position of being isolated at the same time that they are being molded to conform to a group-think mentality.

Result: psychological disconnectedness and susceptibility to neuroses. 

Academia’s adoption of Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States provides a leftist focus on the exploitation of the majority by the “elite white population.” White privilege has become the accusation du jour, creating a dangerous intolerance for whites, America’s foundational documents and principles.  Several private schools nationwide have begun segregating their white students, encoding them to believe they have unfairly benefitted from their whiteness at the expense of other races; students of color are receiving praise and rewards, not for excellence, but for their skin.  Harvard is now being sued by Students for Fair Admissions for its nonacceptance of qualified Asians and white males, the same kind of discrimination and stereotyping used to disqualify Jewish applicants in the 1920s and 1930s.  Additionally, white teachers are being challenged about their own cultural competence.

Result: divisiveness, a pervading but undefinable burden of guilt leading to the losses of pride, belief system, and self-assurance.  

The comparatively new concept, called “Intersectionality,” has been introduced.  A student may claim victimhood, anger, blame, and failure on the basis of skin color, gender, religion, country of origin, heritage, and any combination or number thereof for more status.  Academia and the Left have now bestowed on every race, religion, heritage, and sexual orientation the psychological reasons for injury to their self-esteem, to stir hatred toward others or inwardly toward themselves.  Whites have been classified as the enemy to the degree that white students are riddled with guilt and white educators are being singled out as “troublesome” and unqualified to teach students of another color.

Result: inadequacies on several levels, conflict and confusion from the clash between reality and new indoctrination.  

If that were not enough, where parents rebelled against the schools, the schools may now institute Jeb Bush’s new kind of depersonalized training, the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, that keeps the students at their computers, sans accommodations for higher or lower achievers or interaction with teachers and peers.  Conversation, analysis and discussion are deterred, leading to group-think and loss of emotional ties, and the graduates earn watered-down degrees with little labor-market value.

Result: loneliness, joblessness, idleness, depression. 

With best friendships discouraged and sexual differences devalued, textbooks teach that promiscuity is acceptable, that biological sex is meaningless and fluid, and that sex change is plausible.

Result: loss of identity from gender destruction.

The proverbial floor is being pulled out from under these children who are experiencing increased seclusion, fears and anxieties, without a friend or parental support system.  The young and vulnerable are defenseless against the multi-pronged attacks issued by their teachers and professors.  So, can anyone wonder that the suicide rate has increased, doubled for boys and tripled for girls?

Result: escape by self-destruction.

Another public high school teacher has admitted teaching her students that Trump and Republicans are “fascists” who kill people for money.

In dozens of tweets uncovered by Twitter users and publicized by Gateway Pundit, teacher Lora Yorch is seen claiming that Trump’s election is worse than the terror attacks on 9/11, that any of her students who support Trump are unintelligent, and that Republicans represent “the worst” of America.

Worse, Yorch is a government and economics teacher at the Whittier Union High School District in Whittier, California, so she is exactly in a position where her mental disorder can affect students in the worst way possible.

Yorch routinely launches personal attacks on her students. In one attack, for instance, she calls Hispanic students idiots, and troublemakers if they in any way disagree with her political bile.

This unhinged, hate-filled woman also attacks Fox News in her classroom, saying it is not a news outlet.

In yet another tweet, Yorch said she agreed with those who want President Trump assassinated.

Internet sleuths have ferreted out a bevy of semi-anonymous social media accounts that Yorch disgorges her hate upon. The accounts all feature the same photos of herself, her dog, or others she is associated with.

A hate-filled liberal teacher in Rhode Island raised eyebrows last weekend by posting her wish that someone who has the coronavirus would cough on Trump and infect and kill him.

The teacher, Aimee Bednarz, an ELL teacher at Villa Nova Middle School in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, jumped to Twitter over the weekend to offer a cash bounty for someone with COVID-19 to “cough on Trump.”

A screenshot of her tweet was quickly made because everyone just knew she’d try to delete it later:

Is this the sort of hate we want our children exposed to every day in school?

On Monday, Bednarz was still listed as a sixth-grade teacher on the Villa Nova website:

According to her LinkedIn page, the woman has worked in schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

According to another report, this is not the first time Bednarz has stirred controversy.

Apparently, this arrogant facist does not like it when parents dare to get involved in the school lives of their own children.

This is the kind of cretin who is all too often seen infesting our public schools.

The University of Chicago stood idly by as a conservative woman became the target of brutal left-wing hatred for saying she opposed socialism, despite the administration’s claims that it supports “intellectual diversity.”

Not long ago, the University of Chicago’s President, Robert Zimmer, piously proclaimed that his campus will not bow to the armies of political correctness, nor President Trump’s meddling with campus speech because his school was a forum for free expression.

“Any recognized student group, faculty group, university department or individual faculty member can invite a speaker to campus. We recognize that there will be debate and disagreement over this event; as part of our commitment to free expression, the university supports the ability of protesters and invited speakers to express a wide range of views,” he exclaimed last year.

Well, some might have imagined that Zimmer was striking a blow for free expression, left, right, and center.

But it turns out, Zimmer is a liar. His campus is like so many others in our system of miseducation, so filled with anti-American extremism. Barely a year has passed since Zimmer’s lie-filled proclamation when a student found herself nearly hounded off the campus because she dared to make an entirely mild statement that leans conservative.

Evita Duffy, the daughter of former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, is in her second year of college at UofC, and she decided to join a leftist student project called the whiteboard challenge. The challenge asked students to hold a whiteboard upon which they were to write the reason they intend to vote in the coming primaries and the 2020 general election.

Duffy’s whiteboard, though, sported a decidedly conservative message. It read, “I vote because the Coronavirus won’t destroy America, but socialism will.”

As soon as a photo showing Duffy holding the message got around campus, though, she was frighteningly attacked by students and faculty over her entirely mild, wholly American message.

In an op ed at the school’s Chicago Maroon paper, Duffy wrote, ”

“I hoped my white board message might even encourage a lively and robust debate on economics,” Duffy wrote.

“However, I was naïvely unprepared for the onslaught of online hate and threats of violence I received,” she added.

Fellow students attacked my character, my intellect, my family, my appearance, and even threatened me with physical violence, using foul and offensive language. I was called a racist and a xenophobe. Some compared me to animals. Others declared that they would personally stop me from voting, and many defended the personal attacks, saying I deserved to be bullied and that I don’t belong at the University of Chicago on account of my beliefs. I was told by many that I was the most hated person on campus. It was frightening. It was also hurtful, since some of the attacks came from people I considered friends.

The school has done precisely nothing about this other than to wag a finger at those violating Duffy’s rights. Meanwhile, the campus fascist liberals continue their daily attacks unabated on this woman.

A Kentucky high school has painted over a Bible verse that was on a locker room wall for fear of a lawsuit by Christian-hating atheists.

The Christian-hating Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent an attack letter to Letcher County Public Schools in Whitesburg, Ky., demanding that the inspirational verse be removed from the walls.

The Christian-haters told the school that verse “violates the Constitution” by displaying “religious symbols or messages.”

This, any half-informed American understands, is poppycock. The Constitution says freedom OF religion, not “from” religion.

According to Fox News:

Bold letters on the wall of the Letcher County Central High School athletic locker room said: “But the Lord is with me like a Mighty Warrior,” with attribution to Jeremiah 20:11. But in February, school officials removed it.

The school also dumped a bulletin board message displayed in Fleming Neon Middle School that said, “Jesus is my savior You can’t scare me!” and a prayer for children on the Martha Jane Potter Elementary School’s Facebook page at the beginning of the school year.

The message read:

“Dear God, Thank you for the gift of education in every form. As our children prepare to start a new year may confidence be their foundation, may grace be their guide and may hope be their compass toward a bright future. I pray they would have eyes to see the needs of those around them and a heart to love well. May they face each day with positivity knowing that no matter what comes their way, they do not have to face it alone. Amen.”

“The bulletin board has been replaced, the Facebook post has been removed, and the locker room has been repainted,” Superintendent Denise Yonts wrote in a February letter to the FFRF.

The move was just another idiotic move by another school unwilling to stand up for America.

Maryland High School Teaches Kids Trump is Like Nazis and Communists

A public school in Maryland has sparked a backlash for claims that Donald Trump is no different than the communists and murderous Nazis.

A public school in Maryland has sparked a backlash for a “history” lesson that claims Donald Trump’s presidency is no different than the oppressive communists and murderous Nazis.

Parents were up in arms over a slide shown in an Advanced Placement history lesson at Loch Raven High School that shows Trump above a caption reading, “Wants to round up a group of people and build a giant wall.” Underneath that are the logos of the Nazi and Communist regimes with the words “Been there, done that.”

Yet another caption reads, “Oh, that is why it sounds so familiar,” the Baltimore Sun reported.

Maryland Delegate Kathy Szeliga posted an image of the slide on Facebook, and also distributed copies of the slide to fellow Baltimore County members of the House of Delegates.

“This propaganda was used in an AP history class at Loch Raven High,” Szeliga exclaimed. “Educational malfeasance of the highest degree.”

Szeliga added that the school district’s response to the controversy has been “wholly unacceptable.”

The Baltimore County Public Schools issued a statement excusing the slide away:

The slide was used as part of a lesson in an AP History course. The topics being discussed included World Wars and the attempts by some leaders to limit, or prevent migration, into certain countries. In isolation and out of context with the lesson, the image could be misunderstood. In our Advanced Placement (AP) classes, which are college level courses, we expect and encourage analysis and discussion around historical and current events even if they are considered controversial. This lesson was not intended to make a political statement. If a student has concerns when discussing a controversial issue, schools have the tools to address the concern and support the student.

Szeliga was not the only lawmaker incensed by the slide.

Baltimore County Councilman Wade Kach called the statement and the slide “a piece of propaganda.”

“I think it is inappropriate in a high school to have something like that that is so controversial,” Kach added. “I think to in any way try to draw a comparison to the president and the communists or the Nazis” isn’t right, he added

The lessons are written by the individual teachers, the district noted, so this particular plan is the brainchild of an extremist, left-winger posing as a teacher.

The district, though, would not say anything more, only noting that the incident will be “appropriately addressed” with the teacher.

Szeliga is right. This is wholly unacceptable.

Parents Outraged After Teacher’s Lesson Compares Trump To Nazism And Communism

Fox 45 Baltimore is reporting on the developing controversy after a highschool teacher’s lesson slide compared President Donald Trump to Nazism and Communism.

The slide showed President Donald Trump along with images of a swastika and hammer-and-sickle.

The school system said Wednesday that the slide was “not intended to make a political statement” but was part of a lesson that included “World Wars and the attempts by some leaders throughout history to limit or prevent migration into certain countries.”

Today, they added: “The referenced slide was not part of [AP curriculum resources]… Importantly, the image was not intended to make a political statement but was used in the context of teaching skills needed for analysis, discussion, and media literacy… This issue now also includes a personnel matter, which will be appropriately addressed by the school administration and is not subject to further clarification.”

Here is the full statement by BCPS spokesperson Charles Herndon:

“The slide was used as part of a lesson in an Advanced Placement (AP) History course. Standards for Advanced Placement curricula are written and approved by the College Board. Baltimore County Public Schools provides a scope and sequence, framework, and suggested resources to meet the expectation of the standards. The referenced slide was not part of those resources. WATCH: Black University Student Tells Whites to Get Out of ‘Multicultural Center’ at UVA

Video of a black female student at the University of Virginia raised eyebrows when she was heard saying there were “too many white people” at the school.

Video of a black female student at the University of Virginia raised eyebrows yesterday when she was heard railing about how there were “too many white people” at the school’s “multicultural center.”

How tolerant and multicultural of her, huh?

This ignoramus is heard saying, “Public service announcement! Excuse me! If ya’ll didn’t know, this is the MSC (Multicultural Student Center) and frankly there’s [sic] just too many white people in here and this is a space for people of color,” she said.

“So just be really cognizant of the space that you’re taking up because it does make some of us POCs (people of color) uncomfortable when we see too many white people in here,” this hater adds.

“It’s only been open for four days,” she said of the idiotic center, “and frankly there’s the whole university for a lot of ya’ll to be at. And there’s very few spaces for us to be at.”

“So, keep that in mind. Thank you,” the student concluded to the applause of the mind-numbed fools she was addressing.

The video, though, made its way online thanks to the conservative group Young America’s Foundation (YAF) and quickly went viral.

“Leftists at the University of Virginia are dictating who is and who isn’t allowed in the new Multicultural Student Center,” YAF said of the video. “This kind of racist intolerance is NOT multicultural.”

After the video went viral, the school tried to defuse the situation with university spokesman Brian Coy saying, “I believe deeply that we need to build a community that is not just diverse, but also inclusive.”

The school added via Twitter:

“UVA this month introduced four new and expanded student centers in Newcomb Hall. Since the opening, some questions have been raised regarding the scope or inclusivity of these centers and their missions.”

“In order to foster the diversity of experience and ideas that make UVA a great and good place to study and work, these centers are open to all members of the University community,” a statement from UVA said. “They complement existing student-focused spaces such as the 1515 Building on the Corner, opened in March 2017, and Ern Commons in the Alderman Road residential area, opened in March 2012.”
