Several recent studies have revealed the increased number of public school and college students who are experiencing various forms of mental illness, such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, and others.

A Wall Street Journal report claims as many as 25 percent in elite colleges are thus classified, and require accommodations for exam taking, seating preference, quiet private rooms, and comfort animals. Steve Schlozman and Eliza Abdu-Glass, authors of The College Mental Health Crisis: Focus on Suicide, disclosed the thousands of suicides on college campuses each year, about two to three every day.  Their emphasis is on students’ inadequate counseling, but we should ask why this generation, specifically, is so unstable and why the obvious signs have been ignored.

Is it possible to identify what could be so threatening? 

Our educational system was restructured according to a radical, global, political ideology (Agenda 21) promoted by President Obama’s White House, Bill and Melinda Gates, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the Governors Association, and other supporters of a federal takeover of education for a Global Economy.  Called the Common Core Standards, it was implemented by 46 states and D.C.  While we were deluged with Hillary Clinton’s oft-uttered phrase, “no child left behind,” David Coleman, the architect of the controversial, experimental (experimenting on our children!) curriculum, was executing an equal-outcome system, thereby eliminating the motivation and ambition of equal opportunity for individual excellence and achievement, each to his/her own interests and abilities.  And, since all schools – public, private, parochial, home schools – were subject to the same textbooks and tests, and the governors handsomely rewarded, the Standards were assumed almost nationwide.

Result: the students have become guinea pigs to a seemingly untested Standard – with a specific purpose.

Seriously flawed mathematics and science standards, put into practice by mathematically- and scientifically-illiterate state boards of education, are frustrating, limiting, and damaging to the children who experience distress despite their efforts.  Creative classic literature has been replaced by depressing, sexualized dystopian novels that oppress the spirit and exceed the children’s maturity level. Maria Calamia, licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, reported 200 to 300 percent more children experiencing serious stress and trauma due to the new curricula, citing numerous incidents of the better students’ crying, bedwetting, self-mutilating, and experiencing nightmares at their new mediocrity.   Non-fiction, informational texts and historical documents of a leftist agenda were also introduced, guaranteed to not only indoctrinate, but also to increase boredom and lessen interest and reading ability, with one report showing that 700,000 graduates per year cannot read their own diplomas.  In 2016, more than 40 percent of four-year-college students (two million) did not earn their degree and dropped out; and only 26 percent of two-year students will earn their degree.

Result: frustrations, inabilities, inadequacies, distress, youthful hopes dashed; a generation betrayed, unable to cope and function independently in society.

Parents were powerless to defy the system as they saw their children dealing with lessons of sexual deviancy that inspire change to their very natures, secular progressivism and Islamic indoctrination, and diminished coverage of Judeo-Christian values, American and European history.  Having already been deprived of best friends, a buddy, a confidant, the troubled students are in the untenable position of being isolated at the same time that they are being molded to conform to a group-think mentality.

Result: psychological disconnectedness and susceptibility to neuroses. 

Academia’s adoption of Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States provides a leftist focus on the exploitation of the majority by the “elite white population.” White privilege has become the accusation du jour, creating a dangerous intolerance for whites, America’s foundational documents and principles.  Several private schools nationwide have begun segregating their white students, encoding them to believe they have unfairly benefitted from their whiteness at the expense of other races; students of color are receiving praise and rewards, not for excellence, but for their skin.  Harvard is now being sued by Students for Fair Admissions for its nonacceptance of qualified Asians and white males, the same kind of discrimination and stereotyping used to disqualify Jewish applicants in the 1920s and 1930s.  Additionally, white teachers are being challenged about their own cultural competence.

Result: divisiveness, a pervading but undefinable burden of guilt leading to the losses of pride, belief system, and self-assurance.  

The comparatively new concept, called “Intersectionality,” has been introduced.  A student may claim victimhood, anger, blame, and failure on the basis of skin color, gender, religion, country of origin, heritage, and any combination or number thereof for more status.  Academia and the Left have now bestowed on every race, religion, heritage, and sexual orientation the psychological reasons for injury to their self-esteem, to stir hatred toward others or inwardly toward themselves.  Whites have been classified as the enemy to the degree that white students are riddled with guilt and white educators are being singled out as “troublesome” and unqualified to teach students of another color.

Result: inadequacies on several levels, conflict and confusion from the clash between reality and new indoctrination.  

If that were not enough, where parents rebelled against the schools, the schools may now institute Jeb Bush’s new kind of depersonalized training, the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, that keeps the students at their computers, sans accommodations for higher or lower achievers or interaction with teachers and peers.  Conversation, analysis and discussion are deterred, leading to group-think and loss of emotional ties, and the graduates earn watered-down degrees with little labor-market value.

Result: loneliness, joblessness, idleness, depression. 

With best friendships discouraged and sexual differences devalued, textbooks teach that promiscuity is acceptable, that biological sex is meaningless and fluid, and that sex change is plausible.

Result: loss of identity from gender destruction.

The proverbial floor is being pulled out from under these children who are experiencing increased seclusion, fears and anxieties, without a friend or parental support system.  The young and vulnerable are defenseless against the multi-pronged attacks issued by their teachers and professors.  So, can anyone wonder that the suicide rate has increased, doubled for boys and tripled for girls?

Result: escape by self-destruction. 

Now ask yourself, “Why?”

School Passes Out Flyer To Seven-Year-Olds Discussing ‘Implants, Pills, & Condoms’

A Tennessee father is outraged over a school giving his 7-year-old son flyer promoting free condoms, and several other types of birth control.

“I know liberals on this council, specifically, will say something like, ‘Well, schools teach reproduction.’ You are right,” Penkoski said. “They do teach biological facts in regard to reproduction. This flyer is not talking about reproduction. It teaches birth control. I also can’t help but notice that abstinence is not on this list.”

A children’s elementary school distributed a flyer to children as young as second grade that promoted a clinic hosted by a medical volunteer corps. There was one problem: one side of the flyer advertised “free birth control and pre-pregnancy services” as well as free “implants, pills, condoms and more.”

That provoked the ire of one father of a seven-year-old in the class, Richard Penkoski, who runs the online ministry Warriors for Christ. Last Thursday, according to The Christian Post, he confronted the school board in Sullivan County about the incident at Mary Hughes School in Piney Flats. The flyer discussed the Nov. 1-3 Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray hosted by the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps.

Penkoski told the school board, “What is more, exactly? And why was this given to my seven-year- old? Since when is it the school’s job to give information to my child about birth control? When did the public schools decide they can teach my child issues regarding morality and sex?”

Penkoski explained that his outrage was triggered by the flyer putting him in a position where he would have to explain sex to a child he felt was too young to start dealing with the issue. He continued, “I know liberals on this council, specifically, will say something like, ‘Well, schools teach reproduction.’ You are right. They do teach biological facts in regard to reproduction. Several teenage girls were suspended from high school because they refused to wear a gay pride pin required by the school.

According to the Post Millennial, the girl is a cousin to Cyara Bird, a former Conservative representative from Northern Manitoba, Canada.

The former politician announced the suspension on social media.

“My 17-year-old cousin was suspended today,” Bird tweeted. “Want to know why? Her choir teacher was demanding that the choir wear rainbow poppies during their performance in the Remembrance Day ceremony. She and another student rejected that idea, and both were suspended for ‘hate speech.'”

Bird reported that another student was also suspended for refusing to wear a rainbow poppy to celebrate gay pride and the LGBTQ lifestyle.

The students created a flyer to explain why they did not want to wear the LGBTQ poppy. The school called the flyer “hate speech” and suspended the two girls.

Bird was also furious that the school chose the poppy to serve as a gay pride symbol because Canada celebrates red poppy day to celebrate soldiers who have fallen in battle serving the Canadian people.

The former PM insisted that the school was attempting to co-opt the military symbol to push the gay lifestyle on kids.

Apparently, the Royal Canadian Legion agrees and said that altering the poppy is a sign of disrespect: “The poppy is the sacred symbol of remembrance and should not be defaced in any way.”

The Student, Natalie, slammed the school for accusing her of being a hater.

“They accused me of hate speech and endangering the physical safety of the group of individuals [LGBT students].” Natalie says, “They asked me what I was thinking, and I told them everything … I said I was just voicing my beliefs and morals.”

Natalie says the two male administrators continued to accuse her of “hate speech,” and she became so scared at one point that she was on the verge of tears. “I got to the point of almost crying but I didn’t. I had to be the voice for all those families who were greatly disrespected and offended.”

She added:

“So I asked why? Why am I being suspended and punished for expressing my feelings? And they said everybody is entitled to their own beliefs, opinions, and way of life. So, I asked, why am I not?”

Natalie says her parents were notified at the end of the suspension order. Her father confirmed that he witnessed her phone being returned to her after he arrived to pick her up, and also confirmed that she is not allowed to return to school until Tuesday. They stated that the exact reason for suspension was “hate speech,” not a specific refusal to wear the rainbow poppy. Bird noted that Natalie’s father is “very proud” of his daughter.

The left-wing, religion-hating school has refused to make any comment on the incident.

Betsy DeVos: Common Core Wrecked ‘Devastating’ Results on Our Kids

The results of the “Common Core” school curriculum are in and it appears that it has left every kid it has touched dumber than before.

Common Core has been in place for close to a decade in some places. And according to data assembled by the U.S. Department of Education, the results are very poor.

“Every American family needs to open The Nation’s Report Card this year and think about what it means for their child and for our country’s future,” Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said in a Wednesday press release. “The results are, frankly, devastating.”

“This country is in a student achievement crisis, and over the past decade it has continued to worsen, especially for our most vulnerable students,” DeVos added.

The NAEP test is administered to students in the fourth and eighth grades and covers math a reading proficiency.

But the recent tests show that American students are failing to measure up to students of past years.

This year’s results were only marginally better than those from 1992 which is a stark reversal of the tests made in previous years which had shown improvement.

The mathematics scores show the worst decline. Historically, math scores had shown improvement over the 1990s until the year 2015 when most states had finished implementing Common Core. Despite double-digit gains since the ’90s, fourth graders only managed to score a single point above their previous tests this year.

Eighth graders failed to even meet that tiny gain and scored lower than the results from 2017.

“This must be America’s wake-up call,” DeVos said in her press release. “We cannot abide these poor results any longer. We can neither excuse them away nor simply throw more money at the problem.”

Meanwhile, students in most other countries are blowing American students out of the water. American students are some of the least proficient in every area of education than other kids across the world.

The massive failure of Common Core has made those results even worse.

Black Security Guard Fired for Telling Student Not to Call Him the N-Word

A black security guard in a Wisconsin high school was fired for breaking school rules about using the N-Word when he told a student to stop calling him the N-Word.

I know, your head is swimming with that. Isn’t it the student who should have been punished, you might ask?

Apparently not to the left-wingers who run the West High School in Madison, Wisconsin.

According to the New York Times, assistant security guard Marlon Anderson was fired for using the epithet in front of a student.

But Anderson only used the word when a student called him a “nigger” on October 9 in the halls of the school. Both Anderson and the student are black.

School officials claim they fired Anderson for violating its zero-tolerance policy on use of derogatory language.

“So, if the class is reading ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and the teacher is reading the book out loud and it gets to the part where the N-word is, the teacher gets fired?” Mr. Anderson asked. “It has nothing to do with context, but it has everything to do with the actual word.”

Despite being fired for confronting a student, kids in the school are rallying to have Anderson re-instated.

School officials said they intend to revisit the policy.

“We’ve taken a tough stance on racial slurs, and we believe that language has no place in schools,” school board president Gloria Reyes said. “We have also heard from the community about the complexity involved — and our duty to examine it.”

Anderson said that the student had launched into 15 minutes of verbally attacking him while he was attempting to remove her from the school for disrupting class. The school’s assistant principal, Jennifer Talarczyk, was also present during the altercation and according to Anderson she turned on her walkie-talkie so school administrators could also hear the incident.

Ultimately, Anderson said he had a right not to be called the N-Word by a student.

“I’m not going to be called that word,” Mr. Anderson told the media. “I have a right to not be called that word, I believe. I feel like she tolerated it for the entire ordeal,” he said of Talarczyk.

Two days after the altercation, Anderson says he was put on notice. He was fired a week later.

Anderson says he is fighting the termination.

A Kansas middle school called police on a 12-year-old girl for the crime of pointing her finger like a gun in class.

Officials at Westridge Middle School had the girl arrested and placed in handcuffs after using her finger like a gun in class this month.

According to the Kansas City Star, the Johnson County School District claimed the child “unlawfully and feloniously communicated a threat to commit violence, with the intent to place another, in fear, or with the intent to cause the evacuation, lock down or disruption in regular, ongoing activities.”

According to the paper, a school resource officer would have been the one responsible for arrestin and handcuffin the child.

The child was then taken out of the school still in cuffs by the Overland Park Police Dept.

The police department mysteriously neglected to fill out any information about the arrest on its arrest report obtained by the paper.

School Principal Jeremy McDonnell claimed that the girl was so roughly handled because she pointed her finger like a gun at several classmates and then at herself.

But after the media got hold of the story, the girl’s grandfather insisted that the whole situation was poorly handled.

“I think that this is something that probably could have been handled in the principal’s office and got completely out of hand,” said Jon Cavanaugh. He added that his granddaughter had no access to a gun and no history of violence.

“She was just mouthing off,” Cavanaugh added.

Cavanaugh also worried that the law could make matters worse. He was told that his 12-year-old granddaughter could spend a year in a detention center.

A lawmaker from Idaho has suggested that state legislatures should defund public universities when they begin pushing hardcore, left-wing ideologies in place of teaching useful. legitimate subjects.

Idaho House Representative Tammy Nichols appeared on SiriusXM Breitbart News Saturday to discuss her plans to curb the leftism spewing out of the publicly funded Boise State University by cutting its state funding unless it ceases its left-wing indoctrination of students.

“[In] a lot of conservative areas, there’s this attack that’s going on — and we’re seeing things slipping in,” Rep. Nichols told Breitbart host Matthew Boyle. “Idaho has been one of the fastest growing states in the nation, so we’ve been getting people from all over, moving to our state.”

“We had a new president for Boise State [Marlene Tromp] that was selected to take over,” Nichols said, “and we got a hold of an email that was sent out after she took her position — changes she wanted to make [to the university] — and as we started looking through this email, we became really concerned.”

“Because a lot of the things that are being brought in are things that we’re seeing happening in other states,” Nichols continued. “Diversity programs, and [racially] segregated graduations, and gender inclusive equity centers, things along those lines.”

Sone of the changes include Muslim prayer rooms built with state funds, “gender inclusive” restrooms throughout the facilities, and forced “white privilege” training.

“And that’s what we’re saying,” Nichols added, “where is this stuff coming from? Why are we bringing this into [our school]? This has nothing to do with educating, this is political correctness running amok — why are we doing this? What are we catering this to?”

“We see what’s coming out of our universities on a daily basis,” Nichols said. “the climate rallies and other protests — things that are transpiring throughout the nation — it’s a huge concern.”

“We have these kids that we’re paying to be educating and they’re being indoctrinated,” she said, “and I think it’s going to be taking away the funding in order to change the dynamics of what’s happening in our education system.”

Nichols went on to say that there is a complete lack of accountability in the state’ system of higher education.

“There’s not lot of accountability,” Nichols said of the use of tax dollars for education. “I think that needs to change.”

Nichols is not alone in her concerns in Idaho. The Idaho state legislature recently issued a letter to the university president about the new programs which law makers feel are “antithetical to the Idaho way.”

As Breitbart notes, those “antithetical” programs include:

  • Support for multicultural student events including Pow Wow, Rainbow Graduation, Black Graduation, Project Dream, etc. instead of helping all students
  • Six graduate fellowships for “underrepresented minority students” instead of merit-based awards
  • A gender-based violence community-coordinated response team, instead of letting the police handle the matter
  • A gender-based equity center proposal for funding to provide LGBTQIA+ focused sexual misconduct prevention and response programming
  • A system that spends valuable time assessing the proper use of names and pronouns versus educational pursuits that lead to a career
  • Revisions to the university’s search committee training curriculum to include a section on identifying and addressing implicit bias in hiring decisions
  • A graduate school preparation course only for underrepresented students rather than all students.

Idaho is hardly alone. Every state funded university is pushing hardcore, anti-American leftism and they are doing so using our tax dollars. More states need to defund these bastions of anti-Americanism.

Elite Eastern University Caught Trying to Hide Huge Donations from Jeffrey Epstein

An explosive expose, uncovered by The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow.

In an explosive expose, The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow uncovered evidence that elite Massachusetts university M.I.T. took millions in donations from convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein but tried to hide the fact from the public.

Farrow found documents that appear to show that the M.I.T. Media Lab “was aware of Epstein’s status as a convicted sex offender, and that Epstein directed contributions to the lab far exceeding the amounts M.I.T. has publicly admitted.”

According to Farrow’s investigation, M.I.T. had listed Epstein as “disqualified” as a donor because of his crimes. But despite the determination that he was not eligible as a donor, the school took millions from him anyway.

Worse, the lab made sure his donations were hidden from public scrutiny:

Dozens of pages of e-mails and other documents obtained by The New Yorker reveal that, although Epstein was listed as “disqualified” in M.I.T.’s official donor database, the Media Lab continued to accept gifts from him, consulted him about the use of the funds, and, by marking his contributions as anonymous, avoided disclosing their full extent, both publicly and within the university.

Not only that, but the lab worked closely with their “disqualified” donor to find other donors to donate cash to the school. Meaning that they not only hid his donations but hid their close working relationship with him.

Farrow added:

Perhaps most notably, Epstein appeared to serve as an intermediary between the lab and other wealthy donors, soliciting millions of dollars in donations from individuals and organizations, including the technologist and philanthropist Bill Gates and the investor Leon Black.

The relationship even became a joke among the administrators:

The effort to conceal the lab’s contact with Epstein was so widely known that some staff in the office of the lab’s director, Joi Ito, referred to Epstein as Voldemort or “he who must not be named.”

So, not only did the school hide the fact that it was working with the known convicted pedophile, the school also allowed him to take control of their donations process, relied on him to bring in other donors, and even allowed him to tell them how to spend the money!

Yet, M.I.T. also refused to let this information get out to the public for fear that people would be disgusted that the school was knowingly working closely with a convicted pedophile.

This is typical of liberals. Claim to be bastions of morality, and then hide their offenses behind false names, and crooked policies.

Farrow has far, far more at his New Yorker expose.

UPDATE: Saturday, Sept. 7, 4PM

Joichi Ito, the director of M.I.T.’s Media Lab, has now resigned in the face of the Ronan Farrow expose about the school’s connections to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to the New York Times.
