If there is anyone in the 2020 race with a chip on their shoulders, it’s Bernie Sanders.
The longtime Vermont Senator has found himself thrust into the national spotlight over the course of the last several years, with a controversial failure in the 2016 Democratic primary race fueling speculation that the entire liberal establishment is out to get him. This is due, in no small part, to the revelations surrounding Hillary Clinton’s rigging of that contest against the democratic socialist, with the help of the DNC.
Now, as Bernie continues to rise in the 2020 race, his supporters are again concerned that the establishment has him in the crosshairs, particularly as Bernie’s win in New Hampshire has been overshadowed in the mainstream media by the third place finish of long-shot candidate Amy Klobuchar – a much more “moderate” candidate.
After a fifth-place finish in Iowa, Amy Klobuchar’s head-turning performance in New Hampshire on Tuesday night has some calling the Minnesota senator “the comeback kid.”
Klobuchar captured nearly 20% of the vote, placing her third behind Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg. To the surprise of some observers, she edged out Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Vice President Joe Biden — a surge that has prompted supporters on social media to rally behind the hashtags #Klomentum and #Klobmentum.
In a crowded field of candidates, Klobuchar carved out a path running as a pragmatic moderate from the Midwest who can consolidate support from liberal and more centrist voters alike.
On Twitter, this celebration of Klobuchar miffed a great many Sanders supporters.
Folks, Bernie Sanders won New Hampshire.
Not Amy Klobuchar. Not somebody named "Pete and Amy." Bernie. Sanders. Won.
He won more white voters. He won more nonwhite voters. He won more voters in Iowa too.
Maybe, I dunno, "he's the one who can win"? Based on his, like, winning?

This time it was @HardballChris.
"Pete & Klobuchar together TROUNCED Bernie Sanders tonight," he said with a straight face.
This is not how elections work.

I know a bunch of people are saying Warren should drop out. On a night where Bernie won she gave a speech congratulating Klobuchar and took a shot at Bernie supporters. She's not dropping out. Save your breath.

Floundering Biden Blasted Over Gun Law Proposal Targeting ALL Semi-Autos
Either Biden wants to ban every semi-automatic weapon in America, or he is woefully unqualified to speak on the subject of the Second Amendment.
Desperation is certainly a feature of the Democratic primary as of late, as Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders seems destined to run away with the nomination.
And while this reality is certainly somewhat unexpected, the most shocking revelation in the 2020 race is the sudden demise of former Vice President Joe Biden, whose meteoric entrance into the race saw him ascend to frontrunner status in a matter of moments. Biden seemed, to many, to be the perfect antithesis to Donald Trump – able to snatch away the midwestern moderate voters that Democrats will need if they plan on standing any chance of retaking the White House come November.
But Biden has fallen mightily, due in no small part to the renewal of concerns over he and his son Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine.
Now, as the former Vice President continues his unfortunate downward spiral in the polls, his pleas to progressive voters are growing wider by the minute.
His latest attack on the Second Amendment, for example, has constitutionally-minded Americans up in arms.
Joe Biden ratcheted up the Democrat Party's attacks on the Second Amendment:
Biden: ban "assault weapons" & "get those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale, not be able to sell silencers, all those things."
This is a broadside on every law abiding American. pic.twitter.com/NDA0YYVlQv

If Biden isn’t misspeaking here, (which he is certainly known to do from time to time), this would constitute a ban on all semi-automatic firearms, including handguns, hunting rifles, and revolvers.
And, if we give Biden the benefit of the doubt and assume that he meant to target only “assault” rifles, then his lack of knowledge on the subject of firearms should be disqualifying outright.
Warren Says Bloomberg is ‘Disqualified’ Unless He Takes Specific Action
The Democratic Party’s desperation is on full display this week.
Elizabeth Warren is no fan of Mike Bloomberg, that much is apparent, but how far she’ll go to destroy his candidacy has yet to be seen.
During Wednesday night’s Nevada Democratic debate, Warren spent her first few moments onstage absolutely annihilating the Big Apple billionaire, eschewing her own policy points in order to simply bury Bloomberg. On Twitter, the beating was met with some gallows humor, with users insinuating that Bloomberg brought “a wallet to a knife fight”, and that Warren has essentially ended the former New York City Mayor’s candidacy outright.
Now, days removed from the fracas, Warren continues to pile on the attacks, even intimating her belief that Bloomberg is simply “disqualified” from the race if he doesn’t follow her very specific advice.
During a town hall on CNN on Thursday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) stated that fellow 2020 Democrat former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is “disqualified from being president” unless he is willing to release people from their nondisclosure agreements, but that she will still support whoever is the Democratic nominee.
Warren stated, “[W]hen a man who is a billionaire throws that kind of thing out there, and then when someone finally — think what that must be like, to work in a company, or to be someone else trying to make it in that field, and you’re up against the owner of the company, a multi-multi-billionaire, someone finally says, this is bad enough, I’m going to raise a complaint, I’m going to go to a lawyer, I’m going to go to HR, I’m going to raise a complaint. You’ve got to admit, that takes a lot, to be able to do that, and that the consequence of it is he dumps some money on it, and then stuffs a gag in the woman’s mouth. If he’s not willing to remove those gags and let those women, and maybe those men, talk, then he is disqualified from being president of the United States.”
Warren, like many other Democrats in the race, are running out of time to make a splash with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders now running away with the nomination. This has had the unfortunate effect of raising the level of vitriol within the primary race to unheard of levels, with other candidates even going so far as to attack the ideologies of cancer patients.
Buttigieg Issues Scathing Attack on Limbaugh Weeks After Cancer Diagnosis
Mr. Mayor is normally far more mild-mannered, but his campaign is floundering and he’ll take whatever attention he can get.
You can tell that we’re in the thick of the 2020 election now because nearly all of the candidates have set their etiquette aside in the pursuit of self-serving glory.
Things are turning brutal as of late, with the Nevada Democratic debate serving as just the tip of the iceberg. That affair was marked by Senator Elizabeth Warren’s enthusiastic muckraking and vehement insulting of debate-stage newcomer Michael Bloomberg, in which the Massachusetts radical savaged the Big Apple billionaire over his treatment of women and the subsequent non-disclosure agreements that he employed to keep his behavior a secret.
Now, in a stark turn of attitude for the normally-reserved Pete Buttigieg, the former Mayor of South Bend has chosen to go after Rush Limbaugh – the revered conservative television host who recently revolved a grave cancer diagnosis.
Democrat presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg apparently felt the sting of Rush Limbaugh’s recent comments about his masculinity and lashed out at the radio icon and Trump supporters in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
Buttigieg responded to recent remarks by Rush Limbaugh, who said that President Donald Trump’s would clearly look more masculine on a political stage next to Buttigieg, should he win his party’s nomination.
“Look, I guess he just has a different idea of what makes a man than I do,” Buttigieg said of Limbaugh, who had questioned his masculinity when compared to Trump. “I’m not going to take lectures on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh or anybody who supports Donald Trump, frankly. You know, when I was packing my bags for Afghanistan, Donald Trump was working on season seven of Celebrity Apprentice.”
“And since when is strength about the chest-pounding and the loud-mouthed guy at the end of the bar?” he continued.
Limbaugh was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom during Donald Trump’s latest State of The Union address, just hours after publicly revealing that he was suffering from “advanced” lung cancer.
Billionaire Michael Bloomberg Paying People $2,500 a Month to Compliment Him Online
Billionaire Democrat candidate for president Michael Bloomberg is paying social media users $2,500 a month to say nice things about him.
Billionaire Democrat candidate for president Michael Bloomberg is paying social media users $2,500 a month to say nice things about him on the various social media sites, a report says.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the former New York City mayor is throwing around money like it is water… and with his $64 billion fortune, apparently it is.
The paper says that Bloomie is paying the $2,500 a month to 500 people performing a job he is calling a “deputy digital organizer.”
The amount is more than most campaigns even pay their senior staffers, the Journal added.
The highly paid social media influencers are told to “to promote Mr. Bloomberg to everyone in their phones’ contacts by text each week and make social-media posts supporting him daily.”
The Bloomberg campaign expects these workers to spend between 20 and 30 hours a week performing their social media tasks.
As Daily Wire noted:
“‘The Fight for Equal Rights Has Been One of the Great Fights of Mike’s Life,’ reads one such suggested prompt regarding Mr. Bloomberg’s early support for same-sex marriage,” but the message can be tailored however the “digital organizer” thinks is best — whatever they believe will sway their family and friends to vote for Bloomberg in California’s primary on March 3rd.
Bloomberg’s operation is arming digital organizers with voter registration information, as well, so that they can help with the get out the vote effort: “Helping organize the effort is Outvote, an app that lets users send pre-written texts, post campaign materials to social media and send data back to campaigns. The app, funded by Higher Ground Labs, a Democratic political technology incubator, generally focuses on pushing volunteers to distribute content. Outvote also allows users to look up whether their friends have voted in past elections by matching their contact lists with public data.”
The campaign reportedly identifies voters who are “Bloomberg curious” and targets them for social media hectoring.
“We are meeting voters everywhere on any platform that they consume their news,” a campaign spokeswoman told the Journal. “One of the most effective ways of reaching voters is by activating their friends and network.”
Bloomberg’s campaign pointed to a similar social media operation undertaken by the Trump campaign.
However, no one in the Trump campaign is clearing $2,500 a month to tweet!

Warren Continues Onslaught Against Bloomberg Long After Debate Ends
The Massachusetts Senator was relentless.
Wednesday Night’s presidential debate out in the Nevada desert was one for the books, and it began with a bang.
Not long into the televised event which precedes a near-certain victory for Bernie Sanders in the Silver State caucuses, Elizabeth Warren made it very clear who was going to lose the debate: Mike Bloomberg.
The former Mayor of New York City was put onto his heels by Warren almost immediately, who slammed the Big Apple billionaire for his similarities to Donald Trump, his attempt to buy the nomination, and the slew of NDA’s his companies purportedly use to hide his inappropriate sexual behavior.
And if you thought that this angst from the Massachusetts Senator was all for show, think again. Warren continued her tirade long after the cameras stopped rolling.
Speaking the day after Wednesday night’s showdown – when Warren repeatedly slammed Bloomberg over his treatment of women and his controversial policing practice of “stop and frisk” during his tenure as New York City’s mayor – the populist candidate told supporters at a campaign field office that “you know what, last night was a lot of fun.”
There was no mistaking her objective, either.
The senator claimed that Bloomberg – with his track record – would be a disastrous nominee for the Democrats to take on President Trump in November’s general election, saying, “He is the riskiest one for the Democrats. He would [be the] most vulnerable in a general election.”
And explaining why she launched a full-scale attack on Bloomberg, Warren told reporters that “last night it was my job to make sure America got a little closer look at Mayor Bloomberg.”
Bloomberg has had a target on his back for days, as his recent rise in the polls comes as former Vice President Joe Biden continues to slip further into obscurity in the 2020 race.
Warren, along fellow radical candidate Bernie Sanders, are attempting to remake the Democratic Party in their likeness, and the centrism of Bloomberg and Biden just isn’t going to cut it.
President Trump Already Triumphant – ‘Doesn’t Care’ Who the Democrats Nominate
Hard to argue with that logic.
Well how’s that for confidence?
President Trump certainly isn’t shy when it comes to talking about his accomplishments, and this sort of bombastic bragging is precisely what the American people wanted out of their President back in 2016. It was the antithesis to Obama’s perceived bowing and kowtowing to the rest of the world, and an appropriate pendulum swing back in the direction of American exceptionalism.
With the 2020 election fast approaching, that signature bombast of President Trump’s is on full display.
President Donald Trump told his supporters at a rally on Wednesday that the DNC is going to take the nomination away from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) again. The president added that it won’t matter “who the hell [the Democrat nominee] is” because “we’re gonna win.”
“They just came out with a poll a little while ago,” said President Trump. “Mini Mike was at 15, and Crazy Bernie was at 31. That’s a lot. And Mini Mike just spent $500 million, but, the DNC is going to take it away from Bernie again.”
“And that’s okay,” the president added, “because we don’t care who the hell it is, we’re gonna win. We have to.”
Trump’s comments about Bernie Sanders stick out as a bit of “4D chess” as well.
You see, Sanders’ supporters are already convinced that just such a conspiracy exists against their candidate, thus putting the DNC in the difficult spot of being both unable to rig the primary, and unwilling to throw their support behind Sanders in the general election. Trump is likely secretly dreaming about facing Bernie in November, seeing as a “socialism versus capitalism” election will almost always fall in Trump’s favor.
Trump ties the DNC’s hands, Bernie gets nominated, Trump wins in a landslide. It’s that easy.
As Bloomberg Blasts Bernie, Vermont Senator Turns Shy on Health Records
Bernie should be on a diet after a recent heart attack, but he’s still trying to have his cake and eat it too.
At one point in not-so-recent history, choosing a President was akin to picking a reliable family car over a high speed roadster with a drop top: We wanted to make sure that every screw was tight, and every bulb was burning brightly.
These days, however, our political progress is measured in velocity and not accuracy, and that Ferrari is looking more and more appropriate. We are looking for instant gratification. We want this nation to jump off the line when we snap the pedal down, and a couple of tears in the fabric aren’t going to stop us.
That’s why Bernie Sanders believes that he can skirt the issues of his age and health in the 2020 election, as he has convinced his constituents that he is that sports car we wanted as a getaway vehicle from Donald Trump.
Bernie Sanders says he doesn’t plan to divulge additional information about his health, months after suffering a heart attack on the campaign trail and subsequently pledging to release “comprehensive” medical records.
“I think we have released a detailed medical report, and I’m comfortable on what we have done,” the 78-year-old Vermont senator said during a CNN town hall on Tuesday.
Questions about Sanders’ health have lingered ever since he checked into a Las Vegas hospitalwith chest discomfort on Oct. 1 and had two stents inserted.
His campaign didn’t acknowledge that he had suffered a heart attack until his release several days later. And after pledging to divulgea detailedaccounting of his well-being, the campaign waited until New Year’s Eve to put out letters from three doctors attesting to his health — a move traditionally deployed to avoid scrutiny.
This new reticence may be a bit premature, however, as Sanders recently found himself feuding with rival candidate Mike Bloomberg over the fellow septuagenarian’s health. To shy away from the conversation now, after accusing Bloomberg of being at-risk for cardiac issues, is downright laughable…like taking your Lamborghini grocery shopping.
