California Risks Public Safety, Releases Seven High-Risk Rapists to Help Them Avoid COVID-19 in Jail

The State of California released seven high-risk sex offenders because leftist Gov. Newsom’s policy of saving them from getting the coronavirus while in jail.

The Orange County District Attorney slammed the State of California for releasing seven high-risk sex offenders because leftist Gov. Gavin Newsom’s policy of saving them from getting the coronavirus while in jail.

This weekend, Orange County, Calif. District Attorney Todd Spitzer said he was “outraged” that the state released these extremely dangers seven criminals right back into the population to rape and abuse — if not murder — more Californians.

During his appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend on Saturday, Spitzer said that these releases are occurring all across the country in left-wing states and is “a ruse that has been pulled on the American public, on jails and custodial facilities all over the nation.”

“We’ve all been told that during the pandemic we needed to release people early, you know, with less than 30 days on their sentence and things like that because of the underlying health pandemic and the fact that we needed to exercise social distancing within the custodial facilities,” Spitzer added.

“However, as you know, in the United States today there is a social justice agenda to end bail for those who are incarcerated and this has gone too far,” he continued.

“In other words, in Orange County, our jails now are down by 45 percent in terms of their capacity. Our sheriff has indicated he has no overcrowding problem at all. So, why do our magistrates- in this case, one court commissioner — continue to release people early?” he said.

When these dangerous rapists were released, it moved Spitzer to release a “public warning” about the criminals now able to roam freely among the innocent.

“These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend,” Spitzer wrote in the statement. “They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses. These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break.”

“In this case, you had seven convicted predator sex offenders who had gone to state prison in California for…hard core serious sex offenses and they were cutting off their GPS devices or failing to charge them,” Spitzer added. “We had two individuals like this in Orange County before who went out and murdered four women after they cut off their GPS devices.”

“Sex offenders, number one: are not able to be rehabilitated. And, number two: if you’re cutting off your GPS device, you don’t want your parole agent to know where you are. If you’re not charging your GPS device you do not want your parole agent or the community to know where you are,” he added out. “It’s dangerous.”

For his part, Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes insisted that he id not release the dangerous criminals due to his COVID-19 policy. Barnes claimed he released them after a court order.

Shoplifting Causes Closure of San Francisco Walgreens Because Police Can’t Arrest Anyone

California has essentially banned police from arresting shoplifters and its gotten so bad, Walgreens has decided to start closing stores.

Published

on

California has essentially banned police from arresting shoplifters and the thievery has gotten so bad in San Francisco that Walgreens has decided to start closing its stores.

Walgreens has closed seven locations in San Francisco because the shoplifters have become so brazen, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The latest store to close is the one at Van Ness and Eddy, the paper noted.

The problem is that the State of California has passed a law saying that theft of less than $950 in goods is a nonviolent misdemeanor. That means if cops even bother to arrest such a criminal, the courts will turn them loose without charges, anyway. So, police increasingly don’t bother. And that makes it open season on stores.

So, the state has essentially legalized all shoplifting. And the crooks are so blatant that they don’t even try to hide their theft. They just walk right into a store, pick an item off the shelf, and brazenly walk right out the door without paying for it. They know that the police can’t do a thing about it.

Worse, there are now roving gangs of thieves purposefully targeting stores and the police don’t do anything at all to stop it.

“Organized retail crime in San Francisco has increased the challenge for all retail, and Walgreens is not immune to that,” Walgreens spokesman Phil Caruso said.

Walgreens compounds the problem by its policy of doing nothing to stop the thefts even with security guards.

So, the stores have been closing one after another because they money lost to thieves is simply too great.

Jay Cheng, public policy director for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce told the paper that the organized gangs of retail thieves are also dangerous.

“We’ve already seen California Attorney General Xavier Becerra uncover a major Bay Area retail theft ring with over $8 million in stolen merchandise,” Cheng added. “These crimes make it dangerous for businesses, employees and customers, and need to be addressed.”

This is what liberals do to you, America.

Prosecutors Charge Netflix Star and Joe Biden Operative with Sexually Molesting Teen Boys in Public Restrooms

Federal prosecutors have charged a rising Netflix actor and Joe Biden advocate with sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy, and nine others.

Federal prosecutors have charged a rising Netflix actor and Joe Biden advocate with sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy, and nine others over the last few years.

Jerry Harris , who was a featured player in a Netflix docuseries following the cheerleading team at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas, has been hit with even sex abuse charges.

Harris is already in jail on child pornography charges. He was arrested last month and put in jail in Chicago on charges of soliciting nude photos from teen boys.

Authorities argued against bail, too.

Prosecutors called him a “brazen sexual predator” who could not control his urges, and is therefore a danger to the public. After they arrested him, investigators spoken with “multiple other victims who all describe near identical criminal conduct by Harris involving the sexual exploitation of minors.”

“Harris must not be allowed to harm another child,” authorities said.

But now, Harris was hit with new charges after he allegedly admitted during a Sept. 14 interview to having oral and anal sex with a 15-year-old at a 2019 cheer event.

Prosecutors also allege that Harris used his new-found fame and money to pay teens for sex.

“Harris exhibits all the signs of a serial child predator and unless and until he receives significant mental health sex offender treatment, he will remain a danger to any child he encounters, either online or in person,” prosecutors said.

Harris has also been a big advocate for Joe Biden for president. Harris even appeared with Biden in a campaign video event in June:

Hate Crime Hoax: Police Find No Evidence of Wisc. Woman’s ‘Racist Attackers’

Investigators say they can’t find a single shred of evidence that white man attacked a black woman in Madison, Wisconsin.

Published

on

Both federal and local law enforcement officers now say they can’t find a single shred of evidence that four white man attacked a black woman in Madison, Wisconsin. It’s another “hate crime” hoax, folks.

In June, 18-year old Althea Bernstein claimed that she was attacked by four “classic Wisconsin frat boys” at 1 a.m. near the Wisconsin State capital in Madison. She claims these four white men called her racist names, then threw lighter fluid on her as she sat in her car and set her on fire.

After weeks of investigating, though, the Madison Police Dept. said they could not find any evidence to substantiate Bernstein’s story.

On Friday, the police released a statement saying, “after an exhaustive probe, detectives were unable to corroborate or locate evidence consistent with what was reported.”

The case was also investigated by the FBI and the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Both agencies agreed with the local police. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin said that, “after reviewing all available evidence, authorities could not establish that the attack, as alleged by the complainant, had occurred.”

Despite her earlier loud proclamations, Bernstein’s family is now suddenly in hiding and are saying they will make no further statements.

Bernstein was all over TV shows such as Good Morning America, and was even contacted by nutcase “royal” Meghan Markle because of the supposed hate crime.

But now: “Althea’s injuries are healing and the support of our community has been invaluable in that regard,” the family said in a public statement.

Yeah. They know Althea lied, too.

The area in which the young woman claimed to have been attacked was in an area of the capital covered extensively by CCTV cameras. So, with the statement from the investigators, that obviously means they could find no evidence of this “gang of four racist white men” that Bernstein reported.

It’s all just another hate crime hoax, folks.

Kentucky Man Arrested After Requesting $30,000 On Facebook Live To Shoot Louisville Police While Brandishing Gun

Kentucky Man Arrested After Requesting $30,000 On Facebook Live To Shoot Louisville Police While Brandishing Gun

Federal authorities announced that a Louisville, Kentucky man, who allegedly threatened police in a social media video while brandishing a gun has been charged federally.

Cortez Lamont Edwards, 29, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The armed felon was charged with possession of a firearm after his request for $30,000 to shoot cops on social media. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

US News:

A Kentucky man who authorities accuse of requesting $30,000 to shoot police officers in Louisville in a social media video while he was brandishing a gun has been arrested.

According to a criminal complaint, Cortez Lamont Edwards, of Louisville, made the statements Wednesday on a Facebook Live video, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky said in a statement.

Authorities said Edwards, 29, was requesting the money to shoot officers who were in the street in front of his residence during a disturbance.

Federal and local authorities executed a search warrant on Edward’s home on Sunday and found him sleeping on a couch. The statement said authorities also found a gun on that couch, and a toddler in the house.

An investigation revealed that Edwards was a convicted felon, and he has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. It is not clear if Edwards had an attorney who could comment.

“Louisville needs healing and safety for its citizens, not armed felons seeking bids to shoot police,” U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman said in the statement. Louisville police thanked authorities on Twitter after Edward’s arrest was announced, saying “the actions of this person were unacceptable!” More

He’s a smart one. What could possibly go wrong soliciting money on social media to murder cops? This should earn him a fairly lengthy holiday.

It takes a special kind of stupid to post a felony to social media.

Chicago Mail Carriers Say They’ll Stop Delivering Mail Because City is Too Dangerous

Members of the U.S. Post Office in Chicago are warning the city that they will stop delivering mail in certain neighborhoods because the city is just too dangerous.

Published

on

Members of the U.S. Post Office in Chicago are warning the city that they will stop delivering mail in certain neighborhoods because the city is just too dangerous to walk around in, according to ABC 7.

With the number of shootings commonly reaching 40 and 50 incidents each weekend, and another 40 or 50 during the week, mail carriers are saying that they are taking their lives into their hands just to deliver the mail. And they are about sick and tired of it all.

“The 24-year-old woman, who works as a United States Postal Service mail carrier, was shot at 91st Street and Ellis Avenue just after 11:35 a.m. while on the job,” Chicago’s ABC affiliate reported. “Chicago Fire Department officials said she was critically hurt after being shot multiple times.”

In another incident, a postal worker was attacked by someone shooting a paintball gun at him.

“The United States Postal Service is offering a $50,000 reward for information on the shooting that leads to an arrest and reminded Chicago residents, in the same notice, that any attack on a mail carrier is a federal offense. The mail carrier, at least report, was still in serious condition at a local hospital,” Daily Wire reported.

Now the city’s postal workers are organizing to make a statement.

Chicago’s CBS affiliate reported last week that mail carriers are mulling over a boycott of certain areas of Chicago.

“Chicago postal workers, saying it is too dangerous to deliver the mail, are threatening to stop delivering in some neighborhoods one week after a mail carrier was shot on her route,” CBS said. “Postal workers and community organizers joined together for a prayer vigil Thursday near the scene of last week’s shooting.”

“Mack Julion with National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 11 said letter carriers should not walk their route if they feel unsafe,” the CBS affiliate added.

“Any letter carrier who does not feel safe in any one of these communities then they are not to deliver mail and customers have to pick up their mail,” Julion concluded. “We are not going to have another situation where the letter carrier is shot down.”

Two young Republican staffers working for Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s GOP opponent were shot and one killed in her district on Monday.

17-year-old Andre Conley, who was working for Republican candidate Lacy Johnson, was gunned down outside a gas station in the 3800 block of Fremont Avenue North in Minneapolis, the police dept. said.

Conley was with another GOP staffer who was also wounded but was left with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a press release from the Minneapolis Police Dept., the 17-year-old Conley “was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital where he died a short time later. The other victim, an adult male in his late teens, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds.”

“It is shocking and unnecessary acts of violence like this that prove why change is needed now more than ever in our community,” said Lacy Johnson, the Republican candidate facing Ilhan Omar in November.

Jonson posted a thread to Twitter about the crime.

Johnson also said that he does not think the shooting occurred during a campaign event or a campaign stop and right now he is assuming it was not connected to their work for his campaign.

A suspect in the shooting was arrested on Thursday, according to the Minneapolis Police Dept.

AG Barr Tells Prosecutors To Consider Sedition Charge For Violent Protesters

Published

on

By

U.S. Attorney General William Barr held a conference call with prosecutors reportedly told them to bring federal charges when possible against violent protesters and also consider charging them with sedition when warranted.

The Wall Street Journal reported that if prosecutors seek to charge individuals with trying to overthrow the U.S. government, they would have to prove that there was a conspiracy to attack government agents, which can be very challenging to prove in court. Legal experts told the paper that anti-government rhetoric alone would likely not be sufficient.

MW:

Attorney General William Barr told the nation’s federal prosecutors to be aggressive when charging violent demonstrators with crimes, including potentially prosecuting protesters for plotting to overthrow the U.S. government, people familiar with the conversation said.

In a conference call with U.S. attorneys across the country last week, Barr warned that sometimes violent demonstrations across the U.S. could worsen as the November presidential election approaches. He encouraged the prosecutors to seek a number federal charges, including under a rarely used sedition law, even when state charges could apply, the people said.

The call underscores the priority Barr has given to prosecuting crimes connected to months of protests against racial injustice that have at times become violent and led to major property damage, as President Trump has made a broader crackdown on demonstrations a key campaign issue. U.S. attorneys have broad discretion in what charges they bring.  An expanded version of this report appears at WSJ.com.
