Attorney for Colin Kaepernick Admits Upcoming ‘Workout’ is ‘Manufactured Stunt’

What exactly has the NFL gotten themselves into?

The NFL has certainly had its share of problems over the course of the last few years, much of which can be traced back to the purposefully offensive actions of Colin Kaepernick.

The former second string quarterback, in an effort to raise awareness about a vague claim of “inequality” he saw within the nation at large, began taking a knee during the National Anthem – a maneuver that was meant to anger a wide swath of the nation.

When the NFL refused to take action, they began a long, downward spiral that left 2019’s season on the brink of disaster.  Empty seats, horrific ratings…you name it.

Now, in a curiously-timed move, Kaepernick and the NFL are about to hold a “practice” together as the former NFL QB continues to hunt for another job in the league.

Trending: Another Democrat Will Vote Against Impeachment

Even Kaepernick’s attorney has his doubts about the true intent, however.

Mark Geragos, Kaepernick’s attorney, told “Good Morning America” Friday, “The whole thing seems to me to be a manufactured stunt, for lack of a better term.”

The NFL said in a statement to “Good Morning America,” “We are looking forward to Saturday’s workout with Colin.”

Despite leading the 49ers to the 2013 Super Bowl, Kaepernick has not been signed to a team since the end of the 2016 regular season, when he opted out of his deal with the 49ers, becoming a free agent.

Kaepernick, who has been vocal about his desire to return to the NFL, filed a grievance against league owners in 2017, alleging they colluded to ensure he remains unsigned. The lawsuit was settled in February.

Kaepernick became the expensive face of a vague social justice campaign by sponsor Nike, despite no longer playing in the NFL – a transnational move by the shoe company that backfired wildly when social media users reminded the world that Nike exploits lax Chinese labor laws and sweatshops to manufacture their expensive sneakers.

House Rep. Seen Watching Golf During Judiciary Hearing on Impeachment

Nothing screams “Washington elitist” quite like an elected official ignoring the most important hearing of his entire life to watch a game played by millionaires.

Democrats have consistently attempted to convince the nation that their impeachment “inquiry” was being undertaken in the most solemn and sober manner possible.  This is, after all, a dark day for our country.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been the principle cheerleader of this narrative, working hard to tamp down the sort of frantic fever of Freshmen Congresspersons such as Rashida Tlaib, who announced during her inauguration that she was hoping to “impeach the motherf***er”.

Now, as the House finally puts forth their vague and broad articles of impeachment, we can see just how seriously the left is taking this momentous occasion.

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) was caught watching golf during an impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Rapid Response Director Steve Guest picked up on the footage of Richmond watching the President’s Cup golf tournament on a laptop via CNN.

Don’t believe it?  There’s video evidence.

Nothing screams “Washington elitist” quite like an elected official ignoring the most important hearing of his entire life to watch a game played by millionaires.

Republicans pounced on the proverbial shank caught on tape.

“Democrats on Nadler’s Committee are so ‘solemn’ and ‘prayerful’ about impeachment that they’re watching golf at the hearing,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel wrote on Twitter. “This partisan sham has been an absolute waste of the American people’s time.”

Once again, our taxpayer dollars aren’t so much hard at work as they are hardly working on Capitol Hill.

Unsportsmanlike Act Costs College Football Team Win in Heated Rivalry Game

We can only hope that the rest of the NCAA learned a valuable lesson on Thursday night.

For fans of college football, this is one of the most vibrant weeks of the entire season, as rivalry matchups dominate the schedules of the nation’s top teams.

Auburn and Alabama will face off in the always-exciting Iron Bowl on Saturday.  Georgia and Georgia Tech will be on the same field this weekend as well, but that contest doesn’t appear to be very even, at least on paper, as Tech rebuilds and their longstanding rival from Athens appear bound for another possible shot at the national title.

In Mississippi, the Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State went down on Thanksgiving, and the nation was treated to a celebration spectacle that soured the entire affair.

This ugly and uncouth act had a nearly immediate impact on the game.

Luke Logan missed a 35-yard extra point after Ole Miss receiver Elijah Moore was penalized for celebrating a touchdown by crawling and pretending to urinate like a dog, and Mississippi State escaped with a 21-20 victory Thursday night in the 116th Egg Bowl.

Ole Miss (4-8, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) pulled within a point with 4 seconds remaining on Matt Corral’s 2-yard pass to Moore, but Logan hooked the extra point after Moore cost the Rebels 15 yards. The extra yards also prevented Mississippi from going for a winning 2-point conversion.

Ole Miss’ coach was none too pleased, either.

“That’s not who we are. We’ve been a disciplined team all year, and so just disappointed that happened,” Rebels coach Matt Luke said. “That’s not who he is. Elijah is a good kid, and he just got caught up in the moment.”

If nothing else, this despicable celebration should set a tone of sportsmanship for the rest of this weekend’s heated matchups.

Wide Receiver from Kaepernick Workout Stunt Gets Call from Cleveland Browns

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick has been reduced to hocking casual wear sneakers for the sweatshop kings over at Nike.

Colin Kaepernick, the former second string NFL quarterback famous for the trend of kneeling during the National Anthem, has had a rough few weeks.

A recent “NFL workout” stunt portrayed as an attempt to find a job in the NFL didn’t go quite according to plan, with Kaepernick receiving zero calls in the days following the event.  The workout itself was lackluster, with observers noting that Kaepernick didn’t appear particularly sharp with his passes.

But, that lack of accuracy allowed one of the wide receivers involved in the workout to get noticed.

Colin Kaepernick’s high-profile workout on Nov. 16 for NFL scouts, coaches and executives has yet to generate any opportunities for the free agent quarterback.

However, Jordan Veasy —one of his wide receivers from the workout — has earned an opportunity to tryout with the Cleveland Browns.

According to Howard Balzer, Veasy was among the six players who the Browns worked out on Monday.

Veasy is no stranger to the NFL, and no slouch.

Veasy played his college football at California but has yet to find a long-term NFL home. He’s had stops on the practice squads of the Titans, Jaguars, Colts and most recently the Bills. He was released in October from Buffalo.

In two seasons with the Golden Bears, Veasy had 63 catches for 797 yards and nine touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick has been reduced to hocking casual sneakers for the sweatshop kings over at Nike.

NBA Appears Hypocritical In Criticism of Trump and Americans While Ignoring Glaring Human Rights Abuses in China

Last weekend’s apology to China shows that the NBA is quick to attack Americans while turning a blind eye to China’s serious human rights abuses.

The National Basketball Association considers itself one of the most “progressive” organizations in America and is always ready to criticize President Donald Trump or other Americans who members of the league think are not woke enough. But last weekend’s apology to China shows that the NBA is quick to attack Americans while turning a blind eye to China’s serious human rights abuses.

Over the weekend, the NBA rebuked Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey who tweeted his support of the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong. The league apologized to the oppressive Chinese government for Morey’s support of the democracy activists.

But according to a recent report at Human Rights Watch, China is still one of the worst abusers of human rights in the world. In its 2018 report, the organization reported that China has “dramatically stepped up repression and systematic abuses against the 13 million Turkic Muslims, including Uyghurs and ethnic Kazakhs, in China’s northwestern Xinjiang region.”

“Authorities have carried out mass arbitrary detention, torture, and mistreatment of some of them in various detention facilities, and increasingly imposed pervasive controls on daily life,” HRW wrote. “New regulations in Tibet now criminalize even traditional forms of social action, including community mediation by religious figures. In Hong Kong, a region promised ‘a high degree of autonomy’ under the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the Chinese and Hong Kong governments hastened their efforts in 2018 to undermine people’s rights to free speech and political participation.”

HRW also reiterated China’s oppression of its homosexual citizens, refugees, asylum seekers, women, and girls, and that is not to even mention its actions against Tibet.

This is the country that the NBA is falling all over itself to support.

But the woke members of the NBA has been very quick to attack Americans who they think aren’t woke enough. Especially when they feel that they can safely attack such people without hurting their financial bottom line.

For instance, when NBA player Jason Collins came out as gay in 2013, the whole NBA was effusive in its praise of the player. Stars from Kobe Bryant to Kirk Gibson jumped to praise Collins for his bravery for coming out.

In another case, in 2016, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich — an outspoken leftist and critic of President Donald Trump — attacked the Trump administration for what Popovich insisted was Trump’s “bullying of gays and minorities.”

It was right after Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, and Popovich was livid.

“Not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenure and tone and all the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic,” Popovich exploded. “I live in that country where half the people ignored all that to elect someone. That’s the scariest part of the whole thing to me.”

Then in 2017, Warriors coach Steve Kerr and his team hosted an “LGBTQ Pride Night,” to “educate kids” about gay rights.

But according to the Lancet, China, home to one of the largest LGBTQ populations in the world, commits serious persecution and discrimination against gays. Not only does government take harsh action, Chinese society takes harsh action against gays. LGBTQ children even face serious oppression and abuse by parents, while Chinese authorities turn a blind eye.

Despite China’s abuse of its LGBTQ citizens, the woke NBA has been utterly silent about the mistreatment of gays in the country the league is courting for big dollars.

NBA Sides with Oppressive Chinese Government Over Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Protesters

The National Basketball Association proved once again how anti-American it is by jumping to support the world’s worst, most oppressive, communist government

The National Basketball Association proved once again how anti-American it is by jumping to support the world’s worst, most oppressive, communist government this weekend, after Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey tweeted his support for pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong.

You read that right. The NBA rebuked one of its own for supporting pro-democracy forces in Hong Kong. The NBA, the supposedly woke sports league that claims to fight for the oppressed have sided with the most oppressive government on the planet. The NBA is no longer an American sport.

Over the weekend, Daryl Morey tweeted “Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong,” siding with the pro-democracy forces facing down Chinese security forces that have been flooding into Hong Kong from Mainland China.

But the pro-democracy tweet brought immediate rebuke from officials in the NBA and even from Morey’s own team. Morey soon deleted the tweet and felt forced to apologize.

“I did not intend my tweet to cause any offense to Rockets fans and friends of mine in China,” Morey insisted.

Regardless, the league quickly pushed out a statement slapping Morey down and cosying up to their friends in China.

We recognize that the views expressed by Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey have deeply offended many of our friends and fans in China, which is regrettable. While Daryl has made it clear that his tweet does not represent the Rockets or the NBA, the values of the league support individuals’ educating themselves and sharing their views on matters important to them. We have great respect for the history and culture of China and hope that sports and the NBA can be used as a unifying force to bridge cultural divides and bring people together

This is the same league that canceled games in North Carolina because the Tar Heel state had a “human rights abusing” transgender bathroom law. But they seem to have no problem with China, one of the most oppressive nations in the world with one of the worst human rights records of any modern nation.

Maybe it’s all because of the money the NBA is making as it tries to expand into foreign markets?

The repercussions of Morey’s tweet and the NBA’s response have been reverberating all across the league.

Immediately, the Rockets began pushing out rumors that Morey could even be fired for daring to support the democracy movement in Hong Kong, though the NBA, at least, said there will be no official action taken against the GM for his tweet.

Even a member of Morey’s own team quickly jumped up to criticize him.

Woke NBA player James Harden loudly berated his GM for the tweet, and while in Tokyo, he groveled before the Chinese.

“We apologize. We love China,” Harden said, with Rockets guard Russell Westbrook. “We love playing there. Both of us, we go there once or twice a year. They show us most support so we appreciate them.”

The Chinese basketball association also jumped into action and officially cut ties with the Houston Rockets.

Outkick the Coverage’s Clay Travis wondered if some of the NBA’s most “woke” would respond:

Travis also wondered is super woke ESPN, which is broadcasting from China this week, will side with democracy or with oppressors:

But while the NBA seems prepared to side with human rights abusers in China, a bi-partisan group of politicians do not, including pols who usually stand on the opposite side of the issues, such as Ted Cruz and Eric Swalwell.

Senator Ben Sasse (R, Neb) also took a stick to the NBA saying the league’s shameful apology for Morey’s tweet puts the concerns of the oppressive Chinese government and the NBA’s lust for money ahead of democracy for Hong Kong.

“Basketball fans and the American people more broadly should have absolutely no doubt about what is happening here: The NBA wants money, and the Communist Party of China is asking them to deny the most basic of human rights. In response, the NBA issued a statement saying money is the most important thing,” Sasse said in a statement on Monday morning.

Portland sports fans boo armed service members on 9/11

Only in Portland…

The liberal left has turned implosive and toxic in the Trump era, as their resistance rhetoric has mutated into an anti-American screed.

The diversity of opinion is much of what makes our nation strong.  The First Amendment is a freedom unlike any before it, allowing the citizens of a nation to powerfully impact their governance for the common good, and, often, that is precisely what occurs.

But as the democratic left in the United States continues to radicalize, the flailing and frenzied pace at which they attempt to derail their political opponents has put them at odds with everyone – including Lady Liberty herself.

A disheartening example of this ridiculous “resistance” was on display in Portland, Oregon this week, as sports fans booed members of the United States military as they pledged their loyalty to the Commander in Chief.

Worse still, the abysmal aggression occurred on the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Fans at a National Women’s Soccer League game rained down boos during a U.S. Armed Forces swearing-in ceremony Wednesday after the enlistees were asked to pledge they would obey the orders of President Trump.

The ceremony took place at Providence Park in Portland, Ore., while the Portland Thorns were facing the North Carolina Courage. The event was scheduled ahead of the 2019 season when the club discovered it would be playing on Sept. 11, according to The Oregonian.

The crowd applauded the group after it took the Oath of Enlistment but booed when the enlistees were asked to “obey the orders of the President of the United States.”

Portland has become a hotbed of political controversy in recent months, after radical leftists aligned with Antifa savagely attacked conservative journalist Andy Ngo while he was covering dueling protests in the city.

Just days ago, supporters of the city’s MLS franchise, the Portland Timbers, planned a silent protest after the league disallowed the fans to fly a modified version of the “Iron Front” flag – a favorite of Antifa.  The MLS rules state that no team’s supporters shall display flags of any political persuasion at any time.

Betsy Ross flag deemed symbol of ‘hate’ by American professional sports league

History revisionism is running amok in the 21st century, with no end in sight to the madness.

We, as human beings, are constantly evolving our culture and our society as we become ever-more aware of our past-tense trespasses against one another.

For millennia we believed that slavery was okay, based on vile and dehumanizing racist ideals.  We locked whole swaths of mankind in shackles, forced them to complete our every command, and did so with near impunity.  The pyramids, the Parthenon, and the plantation were all created under these abhorrent auspices.

But we learned.  It took far, far too long, but we have eradicated nearly all of the planet’s institutional slavery through understanding, advocacy, and empathy.

How to approach the legacy of slavery is something that has been debated for decades upon decades in America.  We must continually expose the horrors of the practice in order to refrain from watering its deep-seated, hateful roots, but where is that line drawn?  For some, the knife’s edge lies with Thomas Jefferson or the Civil War.  For others, however, it lies within almost anything that existed at the time of slavery, including the Betsy Ross flag.

The flag, featuring the iconic circle of thirteen stars representing the original 13 colonies, came under attack earlier this year after politically-involved footballer Colin Kaepernick decried Nike’s proposed use of the flag on a special edition sneaker.  His complaint was that the flag simply existed at a time in which Americans owned slaves.

Now, on the heels of this controversy, (no pun intended), America’s Major League Soccer is banning the display of the flag at its matches, believing that this version of the American flag is “hate speech”.

America’s premier soccer league, Major League Soccer, has declared the red, white, and blue Betsy Ross flag a “symbol for hate groups” and banned a couple in Utah from waving it at games.

A Utah couple who were in attendance at a Major League Soccer Real Salt Lake game says they were told by stadium officials to put away their Betsy Ross flag because the original flag of the American Revolution is a “symbol for hate groups.”

According to Randolf and Diana Scott, the league now claims that the flag, one of America’s earliest national banners, has been adopted by “hate groups,” according to Fox News.

Members of the Real Salt Lake front office also parroted that bizarre sentiment.

“Recently, and very controversially as well as surprising to us, the Colonial flag has been adopted as a symbol for hate groups,” Real Salt Lake Chief Business Officer Andy Carroll told Fox. “Any controversial flags or other similar banners or signs with symbols of hatred, divisiveness and/or intolerance whether intentional or otherwise will not be permitted in our stadiums. Period.”

Major League Soccer has recently enacted a new policy that disallows any political statements from being displayed by a team’s supporters, regardless of the message.  This led to a silent protest by fans of the Seattle Sounders and the Portland Timbers just weeks ago.
