Atheists Attack Pastor Warren After Colorado Shooting

Published

on

When atheist bloggers jumped on Pastor Rick Warren’s back this past week following the Aurora theater shootings, it had little to do with him, but spoke volumes about the atheist worldview.
Warren, the pastor of Saddleback Church and author of “The Purpose-Driven Life,” tweeted a message on Friday after the Aurora shootings that said, “When students are taught they are no different from animals, they act like it.”
Atheists, who naturally have all the Christian pastors on their subscribe list, were outraged.
Atheist Staks Rosch of The Examiner  said, “The mega-church pastor of the Saddleback Church, Rick Warren, took to Twitter on Friday to express his thought about the recent shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater. … Warren blamed the shooting on the teaching of evolution in public science classes.”
Hemant Mehta of The Friendly Atheist wasn’t in a friendly mood: “Let’s hear those Warren-defending Christians explain this tripe that the pastor tweeted earlier today. … So, according to Rick Warren, pastor extraordinaire, teaching scientifically-sound evolution is the reason the shooter went into that theater. Tell me again why he deserves our respect?”
Because of the controversy, Warren removed the comment from Twitter but forgot to remove it from his Facebook page, which opened him up to another round from Rosch, who demanded that Warren apologize for suggesting that Darwinian teaching could have anything to do with the Aurora shooter: “Instead of issuing an apology to scientists, secularists, and atheists, Warren seems to be trying to pretend that it never happened by deleting the Tweet. … He should issue a full apology through the media to actual people. Science education is a serious problem in this country and blaming this horrific attack on the teaching of evolution in science classes doesn’t help.”
Dr. James F. McGrath, a New Testament Language and Literature professor, also criticized Warren at length, but he also responded to the Tweet, after which he received an email from Warren explaining the original Tweet.
In the message, Warren explained that Twitter’s limit on words eliminates the possibility of context, “So when you Tweet what’s on your mind, people presume (incorrectly) that you are talking about what’s on THEIR mind.”
The original Tweet, it turns out, had nothing to do with the shooting, but was a response to a question about sexual promiscuity from a father whose daughter’s teacher had said that sex with multiple partners is natural.
Maybe the atheists and other critics owe Pastor Warren an apology.
It’s pretty clear from this incident why they were so quick to assume that Warren was criticizing evolution. Although most atheists won’t admit it, atheism is every bit as much a religion as Christianity or any of the “theisms” they like to rail against.
Since theirs is a mechanistic view of the universe, evolution is an article of faith to them. But it’s also a worldview that has no ethical foundation of its own. Atheistic morality is either borrowed from the biblical or based on the consensus of the community.
At the heart of atheism is no sure ethical footing. As Richard Dawkins put it, the atheistic universe offers “no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference,” and people are just biological machines with no responsibility for their actions.
What Pastor Warren Tweeted was not related to the Aurora shooting and was not directed at the teaching of evolution, but it could have been.
Teaching that the world is a cold, merciless, mechanical system — and not allowing even the discussion of alternative views or traditional religious bases for ethical behavior — has repercussions. One of them is the production of amoral youths who place no special value on human life.
Atheists have every right to their views, but if they are going to be quick to criticize other religions, they should be at least as quick to acknowledge the impact of those beliefs and accept responsibility for them.

Chicago Politicians Want School History Classes Stopped Until White People Taken Out of Curriculum

The leftist drones running Chicago now want to abolish school history classes until white people are removed from the curriculum.

The leftist drones running Chicago now want to abolish school history classes until white people are removed from the curriculum and replaced with blacks, women, and gays.

The drive to purify the state’s history classes was launched this week by leftist Chicago State Representative, LaShawn K. Ford.

At a Monday press conference, Ford said current history classes are racist because they overlook minorities.

In a press release, Ford explained: “Rep. Ford Today in Evanston to Call for the Abolishment of History Classes in Illinois Schools,” and he asked the Illinois State Board of Education and school districts to immediately remove history curriculum and books that “unfairly communicate” history “until a suitable alternative is developed.”

By “suitable,” he means one approved by Black Lives Matter and after all the white people are removed.

Ford suggested that history be eliminated in favor of activist modern political training. “It costs us as a society in the long run forever when we don’t understand our brothers and sisters that we live, work and play with,” he said.

Following is Ford’s Press Release:

Rep. Ford Today in Evanston to Call for the Abolishment of History Classes in Illinois Schools

Concerned that current school history teaching leads to white privilege and a racist society, state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford, D-Chicago, will join local leaders today at noon at the Robert Crown Center in Evanston to call on the state to stop its current history teaching practices until appropriate alternatives are developed.

“When it comes to teaching history in Illinois, we need to end the miseducation of Illinoisans,” Ford said. “I’m calling on the Illinois State Board of Education and local school districts to take immediate action by removing current history books and curriculum practices that unfairly communicate our history. Until a suitable alternative is developed, we should instead devote greater attention toward civics and ensuring students understand our democratic processes and how they can be involved. I’m also alarmed that people continue to display symbols of hate, such as the recent display of the Confederate flag in Evanston.”

Attendees at Sunday’s press conference will discuss how current history teaching practices overlook the contributions by Women and members of the Black, Jewish, LGBTQ communities and other groups. These individuals are pushing for an immediate change in history changing practice starting this school year.

“The miseducation of our children must stop,” said Meleika Gardner of We Will. “It is urgent that it comes to an end as we witness our current climate become more hostile. Miseducation has fed and continues to feed systemic racism for generations. If Black History continues to be devalued and taught incorrectly, then it will call for further action.”

Evanston Mayor Steve Hagerty notes “As Mayor, I am not comfortable speaking on education, curriculum, and whether history lessons should be suspended. This is not my area. Personally, I support House Bill 4954 because I am interested in learning more and believe the history of Black people should be taught to all children and include all groups, Women, LatinX, and Native Indians who helped to build America.”

Rutgers ‘University’ Now Claims Grammar is ‘Racist’

Do you use proper grammar? Then you must be a white supremacist racist. At least that is what Rutgers “University” says.

Published

on

Do you use proper grammar? Then you must be a white supremacist racist. At least that is what Rutgers “University” now claims.

The English Department at the ages old, once top-tier school has just declared proper grammar to be racist.

With the absurdist declaration, Rutgers also announced it will dumb down the integrity of its English department to “stand with and respond” to the Black Lives Matter movement.

It appears that the racist old whites running Rutgers think that black people are just not smart enough to learn proper English.

A letter written by department chairwoman Rebecca Walkowitz states that the department will now emphasize “social justice” instead of proper grammar.

Walkowitz added that the dept. will initiate “workshops on social justice and writing,” “increasing focus on graduate student life,” and will henceforth be “incorporating ‘critical grammar’ into our pedagogy.” The “critical grammar” approach challenges the standard academic form of the English language in favor of a more inclusive writing experience. The curriculum puts an emphasis on the variability of the English language instead of accuracy.”

“This approach challenges the familiar dogma that writing instruction should limit emphasis on grammar/sentence-level issues so as to not put students from multilingual, non-standard ‘academic’ English backgrounds at a disadvantage,” Walkowitz blathered. “Instead, it encourages students to develop a critical awareness of the variety of choices available to them [with] regard to micro-level issues in order to empower them and equip them to push against biases based on ‘written’ accents.”

The English department will also endeavor to emphasize the evils of “systemic discrimination,” too.

What the heck any of that nonsense has to do with teaching English is anyone’s guess.

As the Washington Free Beacon noted, this lunacy is infecting all our major universities:

Rutgers’s new anti-racist language standard comes alongside a litany of changes at other universities. Princeton University’s board of trustees voted to remove Woodrow Wilson’s name from its public policy school and one of its residential colleges to denounce the former president’s “racist thinking and policies.” The James Madison residential college at Michigan State University is considering making a similar change. Activists at the University of Pittsburgh have called for the firing of any employee deemed racist or discriminatory by students, and the school said it will give the demands “serious consideration.”

If you are going to one of these clown colleges, get your money back.

Liberals are Lying, The Science Says Open the Schools

Anti-American teachers unions all across the country are claiming that “science” proves it is too dangerous to open the schools.

Published

on

Liberals and anti-American teachers unions all across the country are claiming that “science” proves it is too dangerous to open the schools. They are lying to you, America.

One reason leftists are claiming that it is too dangerous to reopen our schools is because Trump is for it. And liberals are unthinkingly, reflexively against anything if Trump says it.

Recently, though, a group of doctors published an op-ed calling out the left for allowing politics to rule their reactions because they are for sure not listening to the actual science.

Benjamin Sommers, Joseph Allen, Sara Bleich, and Jessica Cohen are all professors at the Harvard School of Public Health, and in their July 20 article, they advise everyone to ignore Trump on schools.

Instead, “listen to the science,” they said:

Listen to the American Academy of Pediatrics, which argued for focusing on science and not politics in supporting a return to in-person schooling with new investments in safety, describing in-person school as “fundamental” to the well-being of the nation’s children.

The doctors go on to say that this many months away from school will set many kids so far back that they won’t recover from the loss of educational opportunity.

But the science says that children simply aren’t in danger from COVID-19.

Multiple studies show that children are not only less likely to become seriously ill from COVID-19, they are also only half as likely to get infected in the first place. Overall, the rate of infection requiring hospitalization among US school-age children (5 to 17) since the beginning of the pandemic though July 4 was roughly 1 in 20,000.

They also suggest that we should “listen to the science” concerning the threat to children.

A report led by the former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under President Obama concluded that children appear less likely than adults to transmit COVID-19 to others — unlike other viruses like influenza — though this evidence is still limited and preliminary. Studies examining schools with known cases of COVID-19 have shown low transmission rates — for instance, in one case, just two students and no teachers infected out of 863 close contacts. Others show zero confirmed infections even among teachers and students who sat in the same classroom with a symptomatic child.

In the end, the doctors slam the left for making opening our schools a political issue.

“We should be following the science that says in-person schooling for our kids is too valuable to give up and that the risks of school-based transmission appear to be low. We should be investing in adequate testing and tracing resources, making our physical school environments safer, and encouraging a practical balance of social distancing in the classroom with learning and the reality of children’s lives,” they conclude.

Liberal School Fires Teacher Solely Because He Said ‘Trump is Our President’

A popular teacher in a Detroit area school was fired because he dared post a mild tweet in support of President Donald Trump.

Published

A popular teacher in a Detroit area school was fired because he dared post a mild tweet in support of President Donald Trump, according to reports.

The Walled Lake school district in Walled Lake, Michigan — a town just north west of Detroit — fired high school teacher and school coach Justin Kucera.

Kucera, the school’s varsity baseball coach and a social studies teacher, was forced to undergo a closed door meeting where he was interrogated about his tweet.

The school reportedly gave him only two choices: resign or be fired, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

And what did he tweet?

Only this:

“I was required to meet with [human resources], the superintendent, and my principal [on July 10]. They initially took my statement on why I tweeted those tweets and they told me they would have a decision about my future employment in the upcoming days. When they completed the meeting, I was told I had the option to either be fired or resign.” Kucera said.

“I know a lot of people are just rooting for Trump to fail, and I don’t think that anybody should do that,” Kucera added. “Agree with him or not, you should want the president to do well. I apologized that [my tweet] brought so much negative attention, but I’m not sorry for what I said.”

Several kids wee shocked by the coach’s firing. In fact, none of them ever heard him push Trump or even mention his personal politics.

“Prior to Mr. Kucera’s tweet, I cannot recall an instance where he shared his political affiliations while teaching or coaching,” student Bryant Hixson said. “My political views have no impact on how I feel towards Mr. Kucera. Mr. Kucera has always been supportive of me as my AP World History and student leadership teacher and as my baseball and basketball coach.”

“Justin coached my son his entire high school career and also was his AP History teacher and student leadership teacher for two years. I know Justin very well,” a parent added. “If there’s one thing that I would commend Justin for is, he always tried to stay apolitical. He always tried to stay right down the middle, avoid [political] conversations, and let the students make their own call based on their own life experiences.”

This is an illicit firing. It’s just that simple.

Kucera should sue the school system into non-existence.

More Than 20 Countries Opening Schools, So Why Isn’t the U.S.?

More than 20 countries — many of them the left loves — have opened their schools. So, why are liberals opposing it for the U.S.A.?

Published

More than 20 countries — many of them the left loves — have opened their schools. So, why are liberals opposing it for the U.S.A.?

According to the Daily Signal, in March 1.5 billion children across the globe had been cast out of school over the coronavirus. UNESCO said the number represented 91 percent of the world’s children.

However, as of June, more than 20 countries re-opened their schools. And some, such as Taiwan, Nicaragua, and Sweden, never closed them in the first place. Not only that, but many of these same countries also never closed down daycare centers. And there were very few outbreaks.

Yes, there were some few outbreaks. But the number of them are so few that it is meaningless to discuss them.

Indeed, these many countries have re-opened their schools exactly because the statistics tell them that there is no reason not to.

Daily Signal went on to reveal a number of the left’s favorite countries and what they are doing with their schools.

Here are a few:

-Australia. In the state of New South Wales, schools reopened for in-person classes one day per week in early May, combined with virtual learning the four remaining days. Individual schools were able to decide how to best schedule those classes. On May 25, schools reopened full time.

-Austria. Schools have reopened, and masks are no longer required because “officials observed little spread within schools.”

-Canada. In Quebec, schools reopened in May and children socialize in groups of six. Science reports that while 53 students and teachers contracted the virus, “officials believed many of those infections were contracted in the community.”

-Denmark. Denmark was the first country in Europe to reopen schools, doing so on April 15. Schools in Denmark do as much class time outside as possible, and children are divided into small groups, nicknamed “pods,” of around 12 students.

-Finland. Finland reopened schools in May and have retained their standard class size, but have kept classes separated from each other and staggered reopening by age. Finnish officials “found no evidence of school spread and no change in the rate of infection” for students under 16.

Daily Signal has many more.

So, why are liberals opposing policies for the U.S. that their favorite counties are implementing?

Wisconsin College Threatens to Expel Student Solely Because She’s a Trump Voter

Wisconsin’s Marquette University moved to expel a woman because she posted a video dancing to a pro-Trump song.

Published

on

Wisconsin’s Marquette University moved to expel a young woman from the school solely because she posted a video in which she was seen dancing to a pro-Trump song.

Incoming freshman Samantha Pfefferle made her little dance video and shared it to TikTok, but as soon as she did, the liberal goon squad immediately began threatening her life.

But not only did the cancel culture leftists begin attacking her, the school also called and threatened to deny her already approved entry into the school.

Pfefferle’s video, titled “When the libs find their way to your page,” featured captions such as “When people see that I support Trump,” “Then try to hate on me,” and “And think I’ll change my views.” The captions appear on the screen while the 19-year-old girl dances.

The video, which was seen more than 600,000 times, also has a Trump 2020 flag in it, as well as a handmade sign reading “Marquette University 2024,” the year she is expecting to graduate.

The song Pfefferle chose is rapper 6ix9ine’s GOOBA.

Naturally, the leftists immediately began calling for the girl to be murdered. You know, because dancing in joy is so threatening.

“I hope you get shot,” one commenter told Pfefferle. “I’d pray for you but you’re not worth it,” another said in the video comments section.

Shockingly, Pfefferle also told supporters that school officials called and threatened her for her little dance video.

Per College Fix:

Pfefferle explained that following the TikTok, she was contacted by Brian Troyer, dean of undergraduate admissions at Marquette, who she said told her acceptance to the school was far from certain.

“[He] had the heart to tell me I wasn’t a student,” Pfefferle said. “This means that my classification is still in limbo and is currently being decided by the administration. I have been accepted, I paid for my housing, I have my roommates, I even have a complete class schedule. If that doesn’t make me a student, what does?”

Some Marquette administrators also asked Pfefferle a series of questions meant to judge her morals, she said.

“They also asked me hypothetical questions regarding Dreamers,” she said. “How would I respond if a Dreamer who lived down the hall from me came up to me and told me she didn’t feel safe or comfortable with my views and me being on campus. They also asked me if they thought there was anything I could do to improve my image on campus. They proceeded to ask if I was comfortable with the reputation I have established for myself. The assistant dean asked if I put any thought into the response I would be getting from my videos.”

Liberals are universally evil people. We see that more every day.

Grade School Teacher Says 2+2 only Equals 4 Because of White Supremacy

A woman who claims to be a teacher raised eyebrows this week by tweeting that math is illegitimate because it is white supremacist.

Published

A woman who claims to be a teacher raised eyebrows this week by tweeting that math is illegitimate because it is white supremacist and western imperialist oppression.

Yes, you read that right. Two plus two does not really equal four. That answer is just oppression.

Last Sunday, Illinois teacher Brittany Marshall jumped to Twitter to disgorge this gem…

“Nope the idea of 2 + 2 equaling 4 is cultural and because of western/imperialism/colonization, we think of it as the only way of knowing.”

On her suddenly “protected” Twitter account, Marshall calls herself a “scholar, and a “math person,” and exclaims that she is “BLM always.”

And in yet another bit of bad advertising for America’s laughable system of miseducation, Marshall also calls herself a “PhD student.”

What a failure of education SHE is, huh?

If we ignore her poor grasp of the written word, we must also realize that, not only does Mz. Marshall know nothing about math, she also lacks any knowledge of history.

After all, our numerical system is actually Arabic/Hindu in origin, not “western imperialism.”

People on Twitter were incredulous:
